About this vendor
Elisabeth Joy Photography is an Ann Arbor, MI-based wedding photographer documenting couples all over the Mitten State. Owner Elisabeth has always loved photography and owes it to her dad for inspiring her to delve into her curiosity for the camera. Now the founder of her very own wedding business, Elisabeth is fully prepared to help you remember the moments that matter.
For Elisabeth, wedding photography is all about organic romance and emotion, and she makes all her couples feel confident and comfortable before the lens. With a range of elegant poses at the ready, she makes sure you feel fully prepared for every flash of the camera. She also takes to her expertise in candid imagery, capturing every hug, kiss, and smile as they naturally and beautifully occur. Couples who work with Elisabeth Joy Photography can expect a heartfelt and wholesome experience. Elisabeth follows a one-event-per-day policy, pouring her heart and soul into every project that comes her way. She also offers additional hours of coverage and a second photographer, giving you plenty of time to create precious memories. When all is said and done, you get all your pictures packed into files you can access online. You're more than welcome to share these with loved ones worldwide, giving them all a glimpse of your happily ever after.
Editorial and documentary-style photography are all the rage right now in the wedding industry. These images evoke emotion and remind you how your wedding day really felt as you relive the day through your photo gallery. Tastefully adding grain and blur creates timeless photographs that embody the best moments of your wedding day. Elisabeth's attention to detail can be seen in her elegant flat lays of wedding shoes, flowers, perfume, jewelry, and heartfelt details unique to your day. She loves to photograph special moments that you may not even notice throughout the day: the tears your grandfather cries as you say "I do," the awe in your flower girl's face as you adorn your veil, or the tears of laughter from a bridesmaid during the speeches. These moments are the ones that you'll value for a lifetime and pass on to your grandchildren.

I am so pleased that a friend of mine recommended Elisabeth! My husband and I never had gotten professional photos and she was so patient and helpful; from planning the engagement ...
shoot to the wedding day, she was an absolute joy to work with. She has professionalism beyond her years and a keen eye for those candid shots we all love! She made us feel so comfortable (despite us being camera-shy at first) that we were able to quickly relax and found ourselves having a great time, so excited to see the results and our genuine happiness in the photos! We weren't sure what to expect, having never done them, and we left the engagement shoot positively giddy. Leading up to the wedding, she was quick to respond and provide suggestions/solutions. Wedding day she was so patient in the blur of the "getting ready photos" and she and her husband showed their skills when it came to our "golden hour photos"; hunting all over the property for the perfect lighting and angles, taking a stream of photos and bustling us along to another spot as fast as we could, capitalizing on the light and the small window we had before we were due back. Elisabeth and her husband navigated the wedding day stress with grace and professionalism; from their attitude in life to their finished photos, you are truly getting the best of the best.
