Planning a perfect wedding is no easy feat. Endless options, endless decisions, endless details that, in the end, need to be perfectly planned and executed for the biggest, most memorable day of a couples’ life. No pressure, right? Nope. Not for Elise Events, anyway. Founder and Creative Director, Danielle Sammons, and her team at Elise Events have mastered the art of wedding planning. Upon hiring Elise Events, Danielle kicked things off by introducing us to an online wedding planning tool that allowed us to collaborate on a master checklist, timeline and budget and build guest lists, vendor lists and design boards in a single, centralized spot. Considering the fact we had been using bulky three-ring binders and random one-off spreadsheets, this was a huge! Once the foundation for our big day was in place, we began building our vendor team. Danielle started by sharing a list of preferred vendors for everything from florists, makeup artists and hair stylists to musicians, photographers and videographers and encouraged us to take our time looking through the individual portfolios. In all honesty, though, it was impossible to choose. They were all stunning. This was one of the many, many times we relied heavily on Danielle’s expertise. With so many talented vendors to choose from, Danielle helped us narrow in on which vendors were best suited to our venue, vision and budget. And, better yet, Danielle managed the execution of contracts and payment with the dozen vendors we chose. A task that, in and of itself, is a full-time job. With our vendor team securely in place, the real fun began – design! Having worked in graphic design for over a decade, I was initially drawn to Elise Events by their portfolio. Not only was each wedding beautifully unique, but the sensitivity to design was unlike any other portfolio I had seen. In working with Danielle on every little detail from the invitation suite to the floral arrangements, I now understand why. Not only does Danielle have an impeccable eye for design, but she cares deeply that her clients are happy. When it came time to determine the types of flowers we wanted, Danielle spent hours stepping us through different varieties. When she realized the floral designer didn’t have the gold vases I had my eye on, she made a special trip to the wholesale market to purchase the perfect ones. By the time our wedding day rolled around, we didn’t have a worry in the world. We knew things would come up, as they inevitably do, but Danielle and her team would be there to save the day. And they did. When a bridesmaid went into labor, the airline lost a groomsmen’s suit, the calligrapher misplaced a dozen place cards, and the Chris-Craft took in water, Danielle and her team handled it with ease! I can honestly say that with one bridesmaid down, and an extra dress and bouquet to spare, my husband and I considered asking Danielle to be in our wedding. As crazy as that may sound, I had talked almost daily with Danielle for nearly a year and had developed a bond that had surpassed wedding planning. Danielle had become, and continues to be, like family. Looking back on our wedding day, there isn’t a single thing we would’ve changed. To this day, our friends and family still comment that it was the most beautiful wedding they’ve ever been to. A compliment we owe to Elise Events!
