Elkins Estate

My husband and I hosted our wedding at Elkins Estate this past August and it was a dream come true! Elkins Estate offers an incredibly unique atmosphere and our guests were stunned by the beauty and expanse of the manor. Ed, Devon, and every staff member at Elkins Estate went above and beyond to ensure our special day was everything we wanted it to be and more! Ed was extremely responsive and helpful throughout the planning process, making sure every detail was taken care of and every question was answered. On the wedding day, the staff treated us and our families like royalty! Being able to stay in rooms on-site both the night before and the night of the wedding was a major bonus, allowing our families to spend maximal time enjoying all that the venue has to offer. The bridal attendant was incredible, taking amazing care of me throughout the wedding day to reduce stress and ensure a seamless day. I have truly never felt so taken care of, and I know our families feel the same way! Our guests are still talking about the stunning views and how delicious the cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres, plated dinner, and desserts were. Many guests stated it was the best wedding they had ever been to! Our only critique was the hotel booking system, which required our guests to email back and forth with the venue to book rooms as opposed to having a direct website/link that they could follow to book; some guests mentioned delayed communication and miscommunication in regards to their requests, leading to some issues that added stress to myself and my husband leading up to the wedding. However, the Elkins team worked to iron out the details and our guests who did stay were very pleased with their accommodations, the continental breakfast the following morning, and the service they received. Choosing Elkins Estate for our wedding was the best decision ever - I'd do it again in a heartbeat! It was truly a day that my husband and I will remember forever!

Choosing Elkins Estate was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We fell in love with the property because it felt completely different from a traditional wedding venue, and on our wedding day, it was even more beautiful and magical than we imagined. The estate has so much history, character, and personality. Every space feels special in its own way, which allowed the entire evening to unfold so naturally. We were able to have our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception in different areas of the estate, and our guests could explore and experience the property throughout the night. It made the wedding feel less like one event in one ballroom and more like an entire experience. Despite offering such a large number and variety of spaces for guests to enjoy, no part of the day ever felt out of control or unorganized. We also loved how much freedom we had to make the space feel like us. Elkins Estate is already stunning on its own, so we never felt like we needed to completely transform it. Instead, our florals, candlelight, tables, music, and personal details complemented the architecture and character that were already there. Seeing everything come together on our wedding day was honestly surreal. We had open communication with the venue throughout the entire planning process, and the team was flexible, reasonable, and thoughtful about helping us execute our ideas. We were able to bring in our own décor, make menu and seating arrangement tweaks, and personalize so many aspects of the day. There are an unbelievable number of moving pieces involved in planning a wedding of this size, and we always felt that the team understood how important the details were to us. They were accommodating, helpful, and worked with us to bring the day we had envisioned for so long to life. Our guests absolutely loved the venue. We heard over and over again throughout the night—and in the days that followed—how beautiful and unique the estate was. The food received excellent reviews, the waitstaff was efficient, organized, and polite, and the bridal attendant was a bride’s (and mother of the bride’s!) dream from start to finish. The venue was clean and arranged exactly as we had planned in the months prior, and everything came together flawlessly. We were able to simply enjoy our family and friends and experience everything we had spent so much time planning, which meant so much to us. Thanks to the team at Elkins, our wedding felt intimate even with a large guest list, elegant without feeling stuffy, and grand while still feeling warm. Elkins Estate will forever be such a special place to us. It gave our wedding the timeless, romantic, old-world atmosphere we had dreamed about and exceeded not only our expectations, but those of our parents who were involved throughout the planning process and our guests, who were raving about the entire day. We even had multiple people tell us it was the best wedding they had ever been to—and we have to agree! If we could go back and choose our wedding venue all over again, we would choose Elkins Estate every single time.
