Elkins Resort on Priest Lake

d is easy the weekend of the wedding.

der getting around, driving, etc. And despite some puddles and a little bit of mud, the resort was beautiful. We went out and skipped rocks, and we went snow shoeing, all in the same weekend! Every day, the lake, the forests, and the mountains were absolutely beautiful, and the cabins and lodge were always cozy and fun. People: The staff at Elkins are amazing. We wanted to do a lot of bizarre things for our wedding, and they always played along and even seemed to enjoy brainstorming odd new ideas. We had family-style serving, and only two of the dishes were items actually on the Elkins menu. They even came up with a recipe for homemade donuts, just to give us what we wanted! Ingrid, our wedding planner, was amazing. My husband's parents are wine buffs, and we wanted to have their favorite (and rare) type of wine at the wedding. We didn't know where to find it, so Ingrid hunted it down for us! She also helped arrange all of our details, from setting the cabins up for our guests to the piano delivery (we had dueling pianos at our reception). Not only were the staff wonderfully accommodating and helpful, but they were so much fun. Everyone was so welcoming and wonderful, it was like they were part of the family! And O.M.G. the FOOD. Amazing.
