I don't even know where to start because Laurie still has me speechless! Not only is she extremely talented, but she made sure our day ran smoothly, no details were forgotten, and that we didn't have to worry about a thing. Leading up to our wedding, Laurie helped us develop a rain photo plan at Garfield Park Conservatory and the photos turned out even more beautiful than we could have imagined. Laurie is an absolute dream to work with! I cannot say enough good things about her. I had followed her work for a while and knew I wanted her as my wedding photographer--I didn't even look at anyone else! She was the easiest decision we made during wedding planning (other than saying yes to my now-husband's proposal). She is so talented and makes you have so much fun behind her lens. We did engagement photos with her and I also did boudoir pictures with her as a wedding gift for my husband (HIGHLY recommend this!), so I felt pretty comfortable with her come wedding day. The best thing I did for my wedding and my favorite part that day was Laurie. Love love love her!! Preparing for the day she did all the right things, asked all of the right questions and always stayed in contact. She was one major part of all the chaos that I never felt like I had to worry about. The questioner she has right before the big day is genius and very thought out. The morning of my wedding she was on time and her second was with my future husband. Laurie is so great to work with! She was recommended to me by a friend who is also a photographer and I immediately loved her style when I checked out her website. She is thorough and detailed about what to expect (no hidden or added costs to worry about finding later in the small print) & sends the cutest notes & treats to her clients! She was extremely helpful throughout the whole process, even helping me plan out a timeline of all wedding day events. Posing for photos doesn't come naturally to me, but Laurie helped coach me through our engagement and wedding photos so my natural smile was able to better come through. On the day of the wedding, my bouquet did not turn out at all as I expected, but Laurie jumped into action to help cut it and rearrange it so it was presentable. Laurie & Maggie (her second shooter) did a great job managing everyone for pictures to get all of the shots we requested while staying on time. Laurie even stayed an hour later than originally planned when I asked. She was just easy to work with from start to finish & the final pictures are gorgeous - I highly recommend!

I don't even know where to begin with how amazing Laurie was! I knew we were going to be a great from our first meeting! Being that we had a very large wedding party I was very specific in what I was looking for in a photographer! Laurie was everything we needed! A few months before the wedding we ended having to push our wedding date up. Laurie was more than accommodating for us, she moved around her personal schedule to make herself available for us! We are forever grateful for that! As our pictures are nothing short of amazing! We recently bought a house and I had the hardest time picking out favorites to hang on our walls. We landed some pretty amazing vendors for our wedding, but Laurie was definitely our favorite by far. As well as our parents', siblings', friends', aunts', uncles', work friends' favorites! Laurie is seriously the best!! She is down-to-earth with a fun personality that made everyone in our wedding party absolutely love her. Laurie is patient and friendly but has this awesome ability to switch into boss mode to take control when time is of the essence (or your camera-happy bridal party is having too much fun). She was incredibly thorough in making sure all our requested shots took place, but my favorite photos are the ones in which she (and Nikki her second shooter) got a stroke of spontaneous inspiration and decided to roll with it. Our photos are absolutely breathtaking and I am having much difficulty deciding which ones to frame since they are all so stunning! Also, when we received our photos they came in beautiful packaging that made the delivery of our memories even more special. Our wedding would not have been the same without Laurie. In short, Laurie made life easy and took beautiful pictures. In long, she was great to work with, and very organized, before, during, and after the wedding (even when we were not always organized, she was a champ). And to give you an idea of her style, one of my favorite photos is of our young niece with a piece of bread hanging out of her mouth. Back story: When I was a young lass, at my oldest cousin's wedding about 25 years ago, her photographer took pictures of each of the tables. When my table's turn came around, I thought it would be HILARIOUS to have breadsticks hanging out of my mouth. The photographer did NOT think this was hilarious. She thought it was the opposite of hilarious. She was annoyed and would not take the picture until I put them down. As it turns out, I still think mouth bread is funny, and I am pretty glad to have a picture of our adorable niece sporting the look. Which is all to say, in addition to photos that look lovely, Laurie strikes a good balance between posed pictures and capturing the real stuff. There is no doubt in my mind that we made the right call in having Laurie capture our wedding.

She is cheerful, polite, professional and everything that you would want in a wedding photographer. Elle Rose is the very best when it comes to wedding photography and coordination. Photography was on the top of our priority list, and upon speaking with Laurie, we were certain that we had found our girl! Not only is her photography style beautiful, she has a vast expertise in all things wedding. She offered me so many pearls of wisdom in just our first phone conversation. Aside from being drawn to her elegant and natural photography style, we chose Laurie because she had a great sense of humor, but also photographed many large wedding parties (ours was 27 people deep) and she was experienced in shooting a dramatic and large ceremony venues, such as our's. Laurie was a true pro, even commanding a very rowdy wedding party to achieve the perfect photo. We fell in love with our engagement photos, but they pale in comparison to our final wedding photos. They are nothing short of stunning! In addition, we also hired Elle Rose Events. The combination of Laurie, her assistant Maggie, and our coordinator Anna, was truly the 'Dream Team." The Elle Rose team orchestrated a perfect wedding weekend experience from start to finish. They even orchestrated a surprise visit from our dog! I have friends that I have spent far more or less on a wedding photographer, and Elle Rose is the very best value for the money. You will end your experience with not only incredibly pictures, but wonderful memories and a friend in Laurie!

Hiring Laurie was the first and best decision we made for our wedding! She is delightful to work with both in person and behind the camera throughout the whole wedding process from engagement shoot through wedding day. Laurie is so personable, charismatic, organized, and take-charge in the most perfect way! My husband and I are very awkward at "posing" for photos- Laurie is all about the candids, thank goodness!! Her abilities are so natural, and I couldn't be happier with the moments she and her second shooter, Maggie, captured that I was unable witness firsthand- my husband kissing my grandmother's cheek as she arrived at church, my grandfather laughing as he held up his wine glass at dinner, my friends taking a shot in a fit of laughter (the bar served shots?!), our flower girl's reaction as she fully realized her role in the expanse of the church...! Also, being slightly critical of myself of photos in general, I never felt more beautiful, largely due to Laurie's positivity, and because I know she's not the type of person to say something without meaning! ElleRose was the best decision I made for my wedding!! I could not be happier with our photos. Every moment was beautifully captured, even those special touching moments that are so difficult to get on film! Laurie even helped to coordinate with other vendors and was able to pull us through some hectic moments! I'm so glad she was there to help! Laurie is AMAZING. When you think of your dream wedding, I think a natural second thought is how you want to capture and remember that day. Laurie is there to capture all of those special moments. She is SO organized & even better, she has a built in wedding planner! I cannot tell you how wonderful it was to have my planner & my photographer be one in the same. They both had very detailed timelines for me, numerous checklists, and everything else in between. They hands down were the reason for any remaining bits of sanity in those last few weeks :) Oh, and the pictures. OH the pictures. We had Laurie do a (complimentary) engagement session, our rehearsal dinner, AND our 12 hour wedding day. We got our photos back on two jammed packed USBs totally organized by event and by theme so it was easy to navigate through the literally thousands of photos. Our photos were so unique and personal. The beautiful blog post that Laurie put together after our wedding featuring photos and insights from the day is a page I still visit often. Not only are Laurie & her team professional, but they are FUN! These girls had us laughing from the engagement shoot to the planning meetings and all the way to the end of our wedding night, when we made Laurie put down the camera and show off her SICK dance moves!! It was just an all around great experience working with this group. We are now pregnant and cannot wait to use Laurie for our first family photos.

I don't know how else to describe Elle Rose Photography other than THE BEST. She really is. I knew Laurie previously, and within days of getting engaged reached out to her (as I had been following her pretty pictures on facebook for years). She was very responsive and even did a rough timeline of the day to help us pick the best package. We touched base a lot over the next year. When she got my then fiance to actually enjoy taking the engagement pictures, I knew we had picked right! Within the weeks leading up the wedding she was a life saver, and would remind me of details I wouldn't have thought to ask about the ceremony and reception. The day of she literally helped everything run smoothly. From making sure both parties were on time, to taking charge during the family photos, to even helping with a wardrobe malfunction halfway through the night (when my husband stepped on my dress!). I felt as though Laurie was my photographer and wedding planner, even though she was only hired to do one of those jobs! After the wedding she was very prompt on the editing of the photos and sending them to us. We loved the photos and every minute working with her!

Our review could be three words long: We. Loved. Laurie. She is a fantastic person, cheery, fun, easy-going, incredibly nice and was just a pro at making us feel at ease. We hired Laurie for engagement photos, and for the entire wedding day. We felt great about our choice to go with Laurie immediately: she is very responsive, worked around our schedules, and met with us ahead of time on a couple of occasions, which really gave us a lot of confidence! The photos themselves were wonderful. Laurie has great suggestions for how to pose, and (impossibly) how to feel natural while doing it (or, at least as natural as these things can feel). We were lucky to have beautiful light for both our engagement and wedding photos, and Laurie knew just what to do with it! On the day of the wedding she made group photos feel easy, had an amazing instinct for candids – she seemed to be everywhere, all at once, capturing people at their best (and most hilarious). We got a beautiful canvas print included with the deal (and a big one too, great for the wall), and the photos were professionally packaged, and easy to share online. Laurie takes great photos, but her charm and demeanor stick out in our memory. She clicked with both sides of our families, was able to navigate three generations of wedding guests, and won’t disappoint, we promise!

Laurie is awesome. Our pictures are amazing. I cannot stop looking at them. She captures so many special moments. On the day of, Laurie is so fast at getting a ton of great pictures, keeps everyone relaxed and laughing and having a great time. I would highly recommend Laurie. You will not have to WORRY at all on the day of and can completely trust her. Her second photographer Hillary is an absolute delight and great photographer as well. I could not have imagined having anyone else photographing our wedding than Laurie! She was so helpful throughout the ENTIRE planning process and made us feel so comfortable. Laurie, the proprietor of Elle Rose Photo, graciously agreed to fly to Seattle to photograph our wedding. But that's only the beginning! Pre-wedding / She quickly responded to our e-mails and made herself available for phone calls. She attended to the nitty-gritty (booking her flight, renting her car, etc.) so that we might concentrate on less tedious matters. Wedding weekend / She was punctual. While photographing us on what for a bride and groom can be a very nerve-wracking day, she made us feel confident and at ease. She got along well with our guests. She took a lot of pictures, but not once did she interfere with the natural rhythm of the weekend. The pictures themselves / Incredible. A source of great joy for us, our families, and friends. We absolutely loved our entire experience with Elle Rose Photo! We had a destination wedding and since photography was a high priority of ours, I was worried about just blindly selecting one of the vendors that was suggested by our venue. I knew that I would have to do the research and digging on my own. After corresponding with Laurie, she gave us a very reasonable quote to have her out in Lake Tahoe with us for our special day, as well as engagement photo sessions that weekend. Out of the whole wedding planning process, I was definitely most worried about our photographer. I looked over probably 30+ people/companies for weeks before e-mailing Laurie. Similar to my now husband, Laurie's photos and I were love at first sight. She did both our engagement and wedding photos with a wonderful second shooter for our wedding. I cannot count the number of compliments we have received on both sets of photos in the last year or so. I also cannot express how happy we were with elle rose photo, from beginning to end. We just got our wedding photos back from Laurie this week! My husband and I sat down together last night with 2 very full glasses of wine (hehe) and laughed and cried over the gorgeous photos she took! Laurie and Hillary were more than just photographers, they are wedding ninja's! From keeping our wedding party in line, making sure the our limo driver knew where to go, even going as far as giving her opinion on timing and how to keep my pew bow's attached to the pew's...:Laurie did it all! My husband and I had looked at other photographer's, but for the price and for the quality and the overall experience, it became obvious that Laurie was the best choice.

Laurie and her assistant shot our spring wedding, and I couldn't have been happier with the photos and overall experience. I knew I could expect beautiful images since I loved the engagement photos she shot for us, and I was right! Working with Laurie was fun and easy, and I didn't feel like I was wasting my entire wedding day posing for photos, yet I still had about 2,000 images to choose from. All in all, I could not have been more pleased. The only problem I had was choosing which images to print. I could have wallpapered our house in all the pretty Laurie delivered! We were referred to Laurie by a family member, and after looking at Laurie's website and photographs, we knew we were going to be in great hands. Planning a wedding is overwhelming, and choosing a photographer is a big deal. Your photos are how you will look back on your special day and share your memories with my kids, grandkids, etc. I honestly don't think my husband and I could have made a better choice. First of all, our photos are amazing. Laurie seems to have such an eye for capturing special, candid moments beautifully. I love the quick looks between my husband and I, my mom and my dad, etc. that portray genuine love and happiness. In addition to the quality of the photos, Laurie was a calming force from the first day we met with her until her departure at our reception. On our first meeting, she was so helpful with our timeline, and making sure that we were nailing down all of our details. On the day of the wedding, Laurie was just great. What I needed was a photographer to just take charge and kick the wedding party/family in gear, and she did just that…in a very polite manner! Laurie has this wedding photographer thing figured out. She’s good at it, and she is just such a great person you will wonder how you could have done it without her :)

Her follow up, experience and EYE were excellent...she's incredible at catching people in fits of laughter, mid-boogie and shooting a glance. That's what I wanted--minimally if at all posed, authentic moments from the day. She and her second shooter, Hillary, were EVERYWHERE the day of the wedding. when i get engaged, finding the perfect photographer was the #1 priority for me in terms of all the various components to planning a wedding. in fact, it was one of the ONLY things i really cared about! i spent hours and hours and hours searching the internet, trying to find the photographer who i felt would be able to "get" my style and what I hoped for. i am SO lucky to have found elle rose photography, because i could not have asked for a better photographer than laurie. my wedding was very very small and intimate, and every guest at the wedding (especially my family/bridal party) would not stop talking about how amazing she was. it was kind of excessive, actually! haha. everyone just loved her. including me!
