I had Welsy (hair) and Shasta (makeup) work their magic on myself, the MOB and MOG, and a couple bridesmaids. Everyone looked AMAZING! Shasta and Welsy were able to craft my look perfectly from just a few inspiration photos. They also really nailed everyone's looks and matched the makeup to their dress colors and skin tone and worked expertly with their very different hair (some short, some long, all different textures!) with minimal direction. A surefire way to make sure everyone looks and feels fabulous on your big day!

Rachel and Sam were AMAZING. My hair was everything I could have dreamed, the bridesmaids were STUNNING, and my mother was a VISION. Thank you for keeping my hair going strong all night and for making our ideas become a reality! Perfect and Professional!

I booked Elle Style Studio after my first makeup/hair company didn't work out. I could not have been happier with this company! Flora did makeup and Margaret did hair (along with an assistant who I unfortunately cannot remember the name of but who was awesome!!). We had 7 bridesmaids, the bride, and a mother of the bride, and they were able to accommodate us all and get us done in time! Everyone looked flawless!! Flora gave us all a cohesive makeup look that still flattered each girl individually, and Margaret and her assistant were able to give everyone the exact hair they were looking for. One big brag on Margaret - the first company I used gave me two lackluster hair trials. One sit down with Margaret and she totally got the style I wanted and was able to make my bridal hair dreams come true! Both of my stylists were so lovely to work with and made me really feel like my best self! Would highly recommend Elle Style Studio!!

I had Margaret and Kara as my hair and makeup people on the day of the wedding. I got to know them both when I had my hair and makeup previews and they both do amazing work, Kara especially. With little guidance from me she was able to transform me from an ugly duckling into a beautiful swan both during the preview and the day of. Kara was a real professional about her work on the day of especially when a granite top from the suite’s table fell on her foot before she started her work. Despite the pain she was able to make all of us having makeup done look beautiful. Margaret is their newest stylist, but she was able to tame my hair into a perfect updo that lasted all night long. I was a bit worried whether she was up to the task after the trials. The first updo we tried pretty much fell apart an hour after I left the salon and it looked really messy with all of the flyaways just going everyone, which was not the sleek, elegant look I was hoping to have. We did a second updo which came out better and this time I had less flyaways since Margaret used her wedding day products unlike the first time. I still had a couple edits afterwards, but I was reassured for the wedding day look. Day of look was perfect, though I did have to ask her to make one edit just as she was packing up. My one big complaint with Elle is that there seems to be a disconnection between the wedding coordinator and the contracted stylists as to pricing and expectations. The signed contract lists that the bridal hair preview is $100 and so is the makeup preview. This is the same price breakdown for the day of hair and makeup services. For Margaret’s hair service, it matches, however for Kara she charged me $115 for the preview and for the day-of service. I am not sure who sets the artist’s price, whether it’s the artist or the studio, but I think they should address this somehow this rather than surprising a client on the day of the preview. Also, I had asked the coordinator about receiving a touch up kit on the day of and she reassured me that yes I would receive one. And again on the day of, Kara said she didn’t have one to provide me, which made me think the coordinator either misrepresented to me about such a provision or she didn’t even ask Kara about providing me with a touch up kit or didn’t communicate to me that Kara doesn’t provide one after asking her. Either way I think this was just very jarring all around for a salon considered the “best in Richmond” and which is the only studio you have to put down a $200 nonrefundable deposit to reserve their services on your date (and which is not applied to your services). One bright point is that Margaret was really kind enough to give me an unused lipstick she had on hand that was close to the color of the lipstick Kara used on me.

Desirae (hair) and LaCretia (makeup) did an amazing job! Myself, the 4 bridesmaids, my mom, my mother-in-law, and the flower girl all loved their hair and makeup and looked great! Desirae was able to beautifully work in my hair combs and LaCretia remembered my preferences from our trial. Thank y'all!

I would highly recommend Elle Style Studio for wedding updos, especially because they were able to style my hair, my mom's hair, and my bridesmaids' hair on location the morning of the wedding. Rachel was punctual, personable, and did an incredible job with all of our hair and I was extremely happy with how it held up throughout the day, especially a humid day in June. Margaret and her assistant from Elle Style did a fabulous job on my hair and make-up, and on the hair for my five bridesmaids. Since we were all getting services done, the stylists came to my apartment. This made getting ready day-of so relaxing and fun! Would definitely recommend this studio!

Phawn and Desirae were our makeup and hair stylists for the day and they are wonderful! I first met them last year for a trial and they made me feel completely comfortable. Scheduling them through Elle Style Studio was easy and hassle free. They also take cash, credit or check which is was convenient for my bridesmaids! Phawn's ability to apply make-up is STUNNING. She listens to your concerns about skin and appearance and is able to create a look perfect for you. I felt beautiful on my wedding day, but I also looked like myself which was something I was worried about. Sometimes you see beautiful brides but you wouldn't recognize them without all that make up. Not the case for me! I loved my wedding day look and the quality of the products she used to create it. You also get a touch up kit that includes blotting papers and lipstick for touch ups throughout the night. Desirae is a hair genius. Many of my bridesmaids had short hair that couldn't be put all the way up. Enter Virginia humidity in late June...but their hair looked perfect! I loved my hair, it was a braided up-do that looked like it required hair magic to complete. She was able to do it in under an hour! We finished mostly on time and looked perfect for pictures. Not only are both Desirae and Phawn good at what they do, they are pleasant to be around and talk to! Having them in the room getting ready with us felt comfortable and fun. Thanks ladies!

Leslie (Hair) and Lucretia (Make-Up) were delightful and fun to work with for my daughter's wedding. They came to where the bride and her attendants were getting dressed. Highly recommend Elle Style Studio for your wedding hair and make-up!

Amazing! They were so much fun the morning of with my girls, and did a FLAWLESS job. Makeup and hair lasted all day through heat, sweat and tears!

I had 8 bridesmaids who needed their hair done, plus myself, and we only had 5 hours to do it all in. All of my bridesmaids got BEAUTIFUL updo's that were all slightly different based off of each girl's preferences and features. My hair was exactly what I wanted, half up half down, and also incorporated a head piece and veil. It was GORGEOUS!!! They traveled to our hotel room and were so personable and fun, they felt like part of the group. I would recommend them to anyone!

Natty Jackson has been amazing getting my hair to the perfect length and shade for the big day. She has listened to what I want and we made a 6 month plan to get me there. I wish she could travel with me to New Hampshire because her updos are so unique and creative

I used Elle just for me (bride) and was very pleased with Desiraes work. She did hair and makeup and I looked gorgeous. We even made some slight tweaks from what we had done during the dry run through. She was also done on time, which is very important on such a big day. Very very pleased.

My wedding party and I used Elle Style artists Phawn and Leslie for our make up and hair on my wedding day and I couldn't have been happier with the results. Both ladies were wonderful to work with and we were all very happy with the results. Everything held up amazingly for the entire day, even though it was pouring the entire time. I would definitely recommend both ladies and their studio to anyone who is getting married.

For my wedding I booked Rachel Shrader for hair and La’Cretia Baskfield for makeup --- they were both amazing. They did hair and makeup for me, my bridal party, the mothers, and grandmothers. Rachel and I did a hair trial about a month before my wedding and her service stood out to me right away. She spent a TON of time experimenting with my hair to make sure I loved the finished product & the style would work with my hair type/length (my hair is very fine). Additionally, on the wedding day she was happy to do my mother's hair twice because my mom changed her mind about the look she wanted. I also have wonderful things to say about La’Cretia. She is very talented and has a demeanor that will put you at ease. I loved how she was able to understand my vision and executed it flawlessly (I wanted a "fresh" look rather than overdone; however, I have no doubt she could do a fabulous glam look if that is what you desire!). I really liked that she used airbrush foundation because it stayed put all night, even in the heat of the summer. Check out their instagram photos to see their great work prior to booking.

Rachael was our stylist for my wedding several weeks ago. She did hair for my bridesmaids and me as well as my bridal makeup. The quality of her work was very good and the price was great, especially considering she came to do everything on sight at our venues bridal suite. The scheduling with Elle style studio was very easy, as was signing a contract. I would definitely recommend Elle Style Studio and Rachael to any brides looking for a stylist!

Leslie is PHENOMONEAL! I had the pleasure of having her style my entire bridal party of 8 and I. All of the girls felt beautiful and came to Leslie with different hair styles. Leslie did everyone flawlessly! Now I totally understand the stress of making sure you look impeccable on wedding day. I mean this is basically the biggest day of your life! Well I have very curly hair and a LOT of it. Leslie was able to smooth out my hair and create the up do exactly how I visioned. I felt so beautiful, I so appreciate Leslie's work and the team at Elle. She was professional, efficient, & a brilliant hair dresser. Big thanks to Leslie and Elle!!!! So, I start this off by being super vain and stating that I was incredibly nervous mostly about how I was going to look on my wedding day. Since I was a little girl, I've thought about how I would look. Then, I got engaged and I began planning my outfit, hair and makeup. All I wanted was to be beautiful for my future husband. I was nervous for months about how it would all come together. Then the day happened and I was so anxious to see what my husband was going to think. Would he like the final product? The minute he saw me, even though I guess we should've been paying attention to the ceremony, he leaned over and said "Khaleesi". Now, I don't know how many of you watch Game of Thrones, but she is the most epic, gorgeous, magical queen ever. In that moment, I felt like I was Khaleesi. I say all this to say, Rachel is absolutely amazing. She took vague references and random Pinterest photos and turned me into this fairytale queen I could've never imagined I'd ever be. She worked so hard for me and my girls, tweaked and tweaked again, to ensure we felt beautiful. After talking to all my bridesmaids, they all agreed. People who thought their crazy curls could never be tamed walked away in awe of the work Elle did. The are incredibly professional and it is abundantly clear that it matters to Rachel and her staff if you get the look you want and that she gets it perfect. I truly cannot say enough how impressed I was with their work ethic and quality of work. But what I would say meant the most to me is the way I felt when they were finished: beautiful. on the most important day of my life, that feeling is irreplaceable and priceless.

As soon as you book your date for your wedding, ELLE Style Studio needs to be your next phone call! I used ELLE for my wedding this year and they were amazing. Like most girls, I'm my own worst critic but on my wedding day they helped me feel beautiful. Rachel and Phawn were so positive and fun to get ready with and did the entire bridal party. Everyone looked amazing and modern. It felt like getting ready with friends! Their entires staff is warm and welcoming. You couldn't go wrong with booking any stylist with ELLE!

Linda and LaCretia are the best! They have such great customer service and really helped me get through my wedding day with such ease. I had 4 bridesmaids plus moms and aunts that needed hair and makeup done, and they were able to accommodate all with such professionalism and ease. Absolutely loved my hair and makeup!
