ey thinking we did not need a planner- and quickly realized we didn’t know nearly enough to pull it all together. Prior to finding Ellen, we thought we were in great shape having procured a stellar venue, purchased a gown, selected a photographer, and interviewed some florists… fast forwarded to things falling apart when our venue dropped many balls ultimately forcing us to cancel and develop a new plan in less than 3 months of our wedding date. Ellen dove in and got us back on track with ease, and organized an entirely new plan that was better than we had dreamt of and executed flawlessly. She has a unique life-story, combining many different career interests and life experiences at the bedrock of her planning business, Elle Weddings & Events. Having many years’ experience in the service industry combined with her fun and empathetic personality- she has cultivated an excellent network of professional service providers: hotel and restaurant managers, photographers, florists…she’s very well connected with other incredible vendors to help make your celebration amazing. Ellen is focused, organized, and an excellent communicator, offering her personal time to you as needed and without hesitation. She brings her own creative vision and financial savviness to the table to help maintain your dream day without overspending. In turn, she can have tough conversations and does so with humor and grace. Her ability to pivot and remain cool and calm under pressure is remarkable. We sadly experienced a loss of a family member a week before our wedding and Ellen was nothing short of incredible- handling the situation with great compassion and discretion- ultimately improving everyone’s spirits before, during, and after our celebration. Aside from her exceptional professional capacity, Ellen is a wonderful human being. Planning a wedding is a personally intimate and sometimes emotional endeavor, and she is the type of person you want guiding you in the right direction while walking alongside you in friendship, all while maintaining a glowing smile and a tenacious attitude. 10/10.

so we basically planned a destination wedding for ourselves! From day 1 Ellen emphasized collaboration, organization, and communication. We elected for a partial planning wedding service but Ellen truly went above and beyond all expectations. We had already narrowed down our venue and essentially chose one before hiring Ellen. After that, we collaborated on everything to plan our truly beautiful wedding. Ellen is an extremely knowledgeable, professional, energetic, and charismatic individual who made us feel comfortable while bouncing our crazy ideas around during meetings. She made sure our opinions, budget, and expectations were clear to all of our vendors and she did not take anything but the best for us. When the day came, we literally handed her all of our DIY items/design elements the morning of, and she worked her MAGIC. The vision, our vision, truly came to life by her hands and we could not be more thankful. Our friend who recently got engaged met Ellen at our wedding and is now using her for her own wedding! We felt supported by Ellen and her team throughout the entire wedding ceremony and reception and the entire night went seamlessly.
