dding, we pivoted and hired Ellen for what we thought would be to sew up the last few vendors and oversee a simple “day of planning”. Then, of course, COVID happened, and the scope of work completely changed. We had to replan the wedding twice, restarted vendor negotiations multiple times, and discussed multiple 2020 and 2021 scenarios. In all the chaos, Ellen remained unflappable, organized, and extremely communicative throughout. Even in the midst of a rainstorm during our outside wedding dinner, she didn’t hesitate to roll up her sleeves and help move us inside. While our 13 person wedding wasn’t exactly what we had originally planned, it was a wonderful memory we’ll have forever, and perfectly executed by Ellen. To summarize, as people with a business and client service background, my wife and I had high expectations on the structure, communication, and overall support that a planner should bring to the table. Ellen exceeded every single one of those expectations. We could not recommend her more highly.

She was so well prepared with floor plan copies, contracts etc. and an entire binder dedicated just for us! Our family and friends are still raving about our special day! Our wedding was very vendor heavy and had many extra “nuts and bolts” which can be a challenge when it comes to the grande finale on wedding day. I can honestly say that every single moment that day, from early in the morning until the clock struck midnight, was pure perfect magic. My daughter and new son in law, along with our entire family and wedding party, had an absolutely amazing calm, relaxed, and happily memorable day and night. There was not a single worry or issue. We were all able to be “in the moment” and make memories that will last a lifetime together. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were literally better than we had envisioned or hoped. Ellen literally made all of our dreams come true. Our guests also experienced this the same way we did. We are still hearing from guests who said that this was by far the most beautiful, fun, tasty, and well orchestrated wedding they have ever been to. The only “bad” thing that I can say about this experience is that I will truly miss working with Ellen. She became one of the family this past year and we were all better for it. It was back in Grandma’s purse before the night was over and she was none the wiser. She was excellent at keeping things on time without pressuring us to hurry up or get anything done. At the end of the day, my wedding was truly about my groom and I, and we got to enjoy every moment. This is very much due to Ellen!

Her vendor recommendations and planning tool were helpful, but most of all her personal service and responsiveness was outstanding. The floral/decor vendor recommendation she personally provided to us was great to work with and provided outstanding quality florals, linens, chairs and more. They also were thousands less than the 5-10 other florists we had quotes from, so within the first few weeks we were already glad we hired Ellen! Ellen did an excellent job of weekend of coordination- between us, the wedding party and vendors. We had so many random questions for months, and she was always there with answers and a great attitude. Ellen made sure all personal belongings were accounted for at all times, in a safe place and returned to me. She came to the walk through with a fully vetted time time, list of important items to account for, folders, pens, etc. She had it all! The vendor tip guide was also really helpful. I wouldn't have known where to start! I also had a few DIY elements that needed construction, and several things to be placed on a welcome table, cocktail area, etc. And she did all of it seamlessly without me even noticing they were being set-up. Same goes for the room flip. While I was busy with my husband and taking pictures, the ceremony set-up, cocktail set-up and elaborate floral designs just happened! I blinked and everything was beautiful and complete. Whenever people asked me if I was stressed leading up to the wedding, I told them the only thing I was stressed about was the rehearsal dinner, as I was doing that on my own, but the actual wedding, I had zero stress or concerns over, because I knew Ellen would have it handled, and she did!
