Great experience at the elmwood zoo! We took 3 kids (almost 3, 4 and 6 years old). They had a great time! Lots of animals to see. Food was pretty good and playground was nice too

A smaller zoo, but still plently to see. A bit disappointed that 2 or 3 facilities were closed when we went, but I know the zoo is undergoing some building/renovations.
There where plenty of places to sit and take a break and a lot of shaded-ar...
eas. All the indoor exhibits (except the flighted bird exhibit) had the air conditioning running full-blast, which was a huge relief from the summer heat. There was even an elephant statue that sprayed cool mist near the dining area!
The layout of the zoo is mostly flat, not of lot of inclines, so it seems very accessible, not like some other zoos where you have to hike uphill.
Overall it was a pleasant experience, and I hopw to come again when more of the exhibits re-open.

Perfect for little grandkids. The smaller than the philly zoo display makes it able to get through in about an hour. Hot chocolate was good, but they should have gallon milk to add so kids don't Burn thier mouth. An additional 10 bucks to dec...
orate cupcake with Mrs. Clause is a bit wait!. Alot to add on. Skip it. Santa was not there when we were bit by then the kids feet were frozen. The tiger display was open, hmmm! why? to get warm? Should have at least some night lights so we could see them sleeping ,sorta like full moon bright. The owl was very active.....sorta like saying go home....lol

I came here recently with my family & it was a great experience overall. The zoo is laid out well with a good mix of outdoor extraction leading to indoors ones so you can cool off. It was an extremely hot day but there are most stations through...
out the zoo to help you cool down from the sun. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the biggest attraction is the giraffes I'd say but feeding them is a 3 minute thing where as the wait is 20 minutes to a half hour. I was hoping to see more animals like tigers, lions, or even a crocodile but still an amazing place to take your little ones.

3 stars because this wasn't worth the time and cost for adults. We came for the night Christmas lights but were very disappointed with how little they actually had. There was a decent amount of lights and decor but didn't feel worthwhile for th...
e cost. There were many empty spaces that could have benefited from lights. Some areas should have had less spotlights that were quite blinding.
Definitely a great night activity for kids but not an adult date night out hoping to go look at Christmas lights.
