She got back to me the same day to confirm that Rev. Jamie Lynn Haskins was available for our wedding day. From there, we started to email about details of the day. Chantal was very straightforward with next steps. She connected us with Rev. Jamie Lynn who reached out a couple of days later to set up a consultation before booking. We immediately felt comfortable with her, she discussed her background, how she typically does things, asked and answered any questions that we had. We are not religious so we knew that having someone who would craft a ceremony that fit our personalities was so important to us. She assured us that would not be an issue and it never was. We booked ElopeRVA in June of 2021 for our wedding in July 2022. Rev. Jamie Lynn reached out to use about 3 months before the wedding to start creating our ceremony. She was always easy to get a hold of and schedule something. She was clear about her availability and made sure to work with us and our schedules too. We set up another zoom call in which she really tried to get to know us so she could create the best ceremony possible. She asked us how we met, what we loved about each other, and other more intimate details about us and our relationship. She then sent us a rough draft of the ceremony so we could approve the wording and language used and some sample vow options to help us narrow down our choices. She was so careful to be respectful of what we wanted and asked all the right questions. The ceremony turned out EXACTLY how we pictured it! It perfectly capture us, our love and our story and had everyone (but mostly me) in tears. It felt so special and unique and perfectly us. I am so grateful to have had her throughout this process, I was nervous about finding the right officiant but I couldn't have picked better. Rev. My husband and I aren’t particularly religious-we both grew up Christian, but didn’t want our ceremony to be completely religious focused as much as most weddings we’d been to. This made us pretty uncomfortable when searching for an officiant - we were nervous about finding someone who would truly customize the ceremony to our preferences, and the parts of our life and relationship that we found to be most important. We found exactly what we needed and more in Chantal! Chantal was the perfect mix for us-we told her our preferences, but in areas of the ceremony we hasn’t thought of/weren’t sure about, she had a wealth of knowledge to pull from of various examples, ways to do things, and suggestions for making aspects of the ceremony fit with us. Our ceremony was beautiful, and we received a HUGE amount of compliments on Chantal-from her blessing of the hands, to the vows, and her overall public speaking talent-it was, simply put, a perfect ceremony for us. After hiring ElopeRVA for our micro-ceremony in 2021, I knew I needed their expertise for our larger 160 guest reception in 2022. Chantal is so attentive to details and coordinates effortlessly with other vendors. The team is personable and thought of little details that I missed in the chaos of wedding planning. Reverend Jamie Lynn was the officiant for my wedding this past January, and I truly can't believe that she didn't know my husband or I before that day. Her process was perfect: she spent about an hour getting to know us virtually, asking the couple-y questions, establishing what we wanted out of the ceremony and gave us her recommendations - and then she wrote a ceremony for us from scratch. She CAPTURED us. It was amazing. My husband and I were immediately so comfortable with her, and every single second of our ceremony was beautiful and perfect - she made us laugh a bit, cry a bit, and smile a lot. She was responsive, helpful, and so full of joy and light that it felt great just to be around her. After the ceremony, almost all of our guests complimented us on how great she was and how lovely the ceremony was. I was really nervous about having an officiant who didn't actually know my husband or I before the wedding and being married by a stranger - hiring Jamie Lynn from Elope RVA felt NOTHING like that. We highly recommend Chantal as a wedding officiant. She was so pleasant, genuine, and professional. Chantal held a call with us a few weeks before the wedding date to get a better understanding of what we were looking for. She attentively took notes, offered helpful suggestions, and shared some useful information with us after our call. She was quick to respond to our questions and made us feel comfortable. Chantal traveled over 2 hours to our location and arrived on time. She wrote up a ceremony that was just right for us (not too long and not too short) and we were happy with how she used the information we sent about ourselves. ElopeRVA is the best place to go if you want your special day to be just like you dreamed. Chantal is hardworking, kind and went above and beyond to make sure that all the details were just perfect. My husband and I are both born and raised in India and as such had no idea how to go about planning a wedding here in Richmond, Virginia. And we were absolutely the luckiest to have found ElopeRVA very early on in that process. Chantal at ElopeRVA was so patient and took time to understand our exact vision for the day, explained to us all the nuances right from how to go about applying for a marriage license, to looking up the address for the courthouse, researching the possible locations for the ceremony, sending over ideas for the floral arrangement, coordinating with our photographer, and on the day of, delivering the most gorgeous looking bouquet, boutonniere and the floral arrangement for the arch. Chantal also officiated the ceremony for us and it was the most beautiful thing! The part of the day that would always remain with us and make our hearts warm, however, was when she helped me get ready for the Indian ceremony that we also had the same day - she had researched and learnt how to help one drape a Saree, and helped me greatly putting on my entire outfit. Lastly she had the perfect words that she spoke before our garland exchange. Overall, we are incredibly grateful that we chose to work with ElopeRVA.

ElopeRVA was the best experience I could have asked for. My partner and I are a queer, non-denominational couple that wanted a small, intimate ceremony with just our parents. From the first phone call with Chantal we were met with grace, excitement, and complete acceptance. We felt that our relationships and values were just being accepted but truly celebrated. Heather took photos and was willing to climb rocks and trek through parks to capture us as a couple. My (now) husband and I decided to move abroad and had about 3 weeks to plan a wedding before we left. She laid out all of our options and assured us that we would still be able to pull off a beautiful ceremony in such a quick timeframe. She helped us with EVERYTHING: venue selection, flowers, cake, selecting our photographer, setting up on the day of, AND was our officiant. Throughout the whole process, she was so quick to reply to us and our many questions! She was not only patient and knowledgeable, but also was fun to work with - throughout all of our stress, she still managed to make the process of planning our wedding/elopement fun and exciting. Another thing we really appreciated was that she was completely transparent about cost with us upfront - and was so respectful in giving us time to review our budget before making any financial decisions about what to include or not include in our day. Chantal worked with the site coordinators for us to work out logistics, and even went in person to scope everything out before the event day. This made everything so easy and stress-free for us. Our flowers and my bouquet were absolutely stunning, and EXACTLY what I had pictured- she even created a beautiful floral arrangement that was custom for the gazebo we got married in! The day of the event, Chantal arrived early to set everything up for us and work with the site coordinators/photographer/violinist...which made the day so easy for me! Our ceremony was amazing and Chantal spent time asking questions about what we wanted and learning more about us throughout the process so that the ceremony was personal to our relationship. We are so grateful to have found Chantal and we would not have been able to pull our ceremony off without her. She is so incredibly talented, hardworking, and kind- I recommend her to anyone who is considering an elopement or microwedding!

Chantal is a very warm-hearted and empathetic officiant. She took the time to learn our love story, develop vows and a description of our love story we were very touched by and then guided us through the legal marriage process. Our guests were in tears before we even made it to the altar from the warm and spirited context Chantal framed us in. A year after we married we did a vow renewal and she was up to fly to france with us and perform a second ceremony, again tailoring the words to how our love had evolved since the first time. If you're looking some someone who will listen and create the day you envision, Chantal is your person.

She heard all of our concerns and took care of our special day as if it were her own. She even made me a beautiful floral crown to complete my wedding day!
