I had Eltsa alter my wedding dress. She was great! She even gave small suggestions such as lowering my belt to hit the smaller part of my waist. She was easy to schedule with and she made sure everything was done in time for the wedding.

Marina did an incredible job on my wedding dress alterations. I went in for my first appointment 6 weeks before my wedding, overwhelmed and really not sure what to expect. I ordered my dress from China, and though it was beautiful, they didn't do any of the hard work, it didn't have any shape, boning or overall structure. 5 minutes into my initial appointment, Marina pinned the dress into a shape and explained how she was going to add boning, and support and how each appointment would go -- she gave me a quote of the low and high side of all of the alterations (which the result ended up being in the middle). Over the course of three weeks and four, 20-min appointments, I had my beautiful dress. I would highly recommend Marina of Eltsa dress alterations.

Excellent, top-notch work. I had bought a slightly small dress off the rack and was told by the person who sold it that there was plenty of fabric to let it out to fit me better, but when I took it to Eltsa, they let me know that I had been misled - while a bit of fabric was available in the seams, it would be impossible to let it out to be a truly comfortable fit without risking burst seams. Still, they helped let it out as much as possible, incorporated some ribbing to make the bodice smoother, and did an excellent job with hemming and adding a belt. They also worked quickly and were easy to visit after work, which was helpful for my schedule. I wish the services had been a bit more transparent up front; I got very little information up front about cost or process of tailoring (I came in for 4 fittings total - each new fitting was a bit of a surprise). However, having never done a tailoring process before, it was a relief to be in the hands of talented experts who seemed both capable and enthusiastic about helping me make the most of my dress. Definitely would recommend.

Zina did an excellent job on my ballgown wedding dress!!! It was the craziest size when I picked it up from the store I ordered from, so it took us 4 or 5 five fittings to finish it, but it turned out so beautifully. I would highly recommend them for wedding dress alterations!! I had such a positive experience here that after she finished my wedding dress, I took two other dresses in for small alterations, and she did a great job on those as well!

When I bought my wedding dress, I was a size 14. After 6 stressful months of grad school and wedding planning, I dropped to a size 6. I was terrified my dress wouldn't fit anymore since it was so structured and beaded in the middle. It was from a second-hand store too so I couldn't return it to get a smaller size. I searched for a long time, and Eltsa had such great reviews that I felt confident bringing her my dress to alter. Her and the other seamstresses did a fabulous job on my dress, and it fit me perfectly. It only took a few fittings, and they tried to keep the costs down as much as possible. The prices were very reasonable, and they were very professional and upfront about all the costs. They are also just fun to work with! Your outfit is in good hands here. Cash or check only, and you can save some money by using cash! They can take paypal payments as well.

Eltsa saved me a couple of years ago when I had the most awful bridesmaids dress (full length, pink tulle) and made it a dress I love. When I got engaged, I knew I'd go back to them with my wedding dress because they were so professional, always were on schedule, and weren't in a hurry to get me in and out of the door. I took two dresses here for my wedding and could not be happier. One was a BHLDN dress that I wanted to add sleeves to. Both of my dresses were bustled and the work was so well done on my wedding day that it took us a few minutes to find the snaps, loops, and buttons. If you have any kind of alterations, this is the only place I'd consider in the Seattle area. Their prices are also very fair for the work they do.

I first came to Eltsa with an expensive Kleinfeld gown for alterations but Margarita sat me down and was honest with me and said it would be expensive to alter and was not very flattering for my plus sized figure. She was very kind and knowledgeable so I took her advice and due to time contraints could only find a cheap Chinese gown on one of those knock off sites. It was much nicer than I expected and they made it to my measurements so it fit well. Eltsa’s was able to alter the neckline to make it more flattering, remove a belt and add a sash of my own purchase, and alter the train and bustle to make my dress perfect for my wedding day. The staff there are worth their weight in gold. I will be using their business for all my alterations and sewing in the future.

Margo is an unbelievable talent. I was really disappointed when I first tried on my Sarah Seven gown - the gown fit nothing like the sample and was clearly constructed without proper care. Margo fixed the dress and didn't give up until it fit me like a glove. She also made me a simple, affordable veil. Highly recommended!

I had read amazing reviews on Margo so I decided to try her services and it was the best decision. Margo is warm and friendly and puts you right at ease. Her quality of work is amazing! She is the whole package and at a great price too.

Margo is a visionary and a perfectionist. She has an incredible work ethic and integrity rarely found in designers of her caliber. She created my dress from a picture and paid attention to so many details I could not possibly have imagined. She is also extremely easy to work with and knows her limitations. For example one weekend I was to go for a fitting but she called me and said she has a bride whose had gained weight and her wedding was the next day. Margo asked if it would be okay to postpone my fitting for a day or two ( my wedding was still 3 weeks off)so she could work on this other brides dress. I didn't mind at all as I was so impressed she was going to drop everything on a Saturday so this other bride could have her dress altered on a rush status. When it came to the end of finishing my dress, Margo and Olga worked together adding final touches, all only with my approval, that took my dress over the top. It fit like a dream and was so comfortable to wear for an entire day. I did not want to take it off! Indeed, I have already warned my new husband that we will be wearing our wedding attire for random anniversaries for years to come. This dress is so beautiful and so reflective of me, there is no way I am only going to wear it once!

I've only just been in for the initial consult, but I had such a good experience with her, I have no doubt she will be awesome! She was very honest, even telling me some work I could easily do (if I wanted to) to save money to prep for the restyling she is planning. I feel very confident in her ability and is up front and honest as well. Her quote was very reasonable, and I looked at some dresses she made from scratch using fabrics she obtains from the Ukraine (because they can't be found here) that were unbelievable! She is going to combine the best parts of two dresses that were similar, but weren't perfect (I got them on super sale). I will keep you all posted as the project progresses!

I had my wedding dress but it was not perfect. I had some fancy ideas about the details on the dress. Margo was very understanding and helpful. She suggested a few other things I have not thought about. I ended up with a very unique, elegant and the most beautiful dress I ever dreamt about. I would recommend Marge to all brides. She is the best!

Margo / Eltsa is extremely talented and you'll be lucky if (like me) you get a dress made by her before she becomes too famous for you or me to ever be able to afford it. She was also of great advice and support. She literally saved my wedding! 3 months before the wedding day, which was to take place overseas, I still had no dress and only a vague idea of what I wanted. The dress she came up with took shape over the next few weeks, and when it was finished I found it was exactly what I'd been looking for. If you don't have a dress yet don't hesitate. You can have your own designer dress at a surprisingly affordable price. Thank you Margo!

It was such a joy to work with Margo! From the beginning I felt totally comfortable with her and confident that she would make my wedding dress dreams a reality. She made me an active participant throughout the entire process and never made a decision without consulting me first. The night I went over to pick up my dress, I realized I had made a huge mistake in my last appointment. I told her I wanted sleeves that were about twice as big as I had actually imagined they would be. She told me I was not leaving until I was completely happy and then spent 2 or 3 hours with me that night fixing the sleeves. She stayed true to the (very reasonable) price she quoted me at the beginning. I have zero regrets about choosing Margo as my dress maker and you won't either!

My daughter has a bridesmaid in her cousins wedding. We could not find a dress to fit in the desired color. We were running out of time. I found Eltsa on the web and we were able to see Margo right away. She went with us to the fabric store, we purchased everything we needed and then Margo went to work. Ally went back for 2 more fittings and it was done in less then 2 weeks. It was a very flattering design and my daughter looked beautiful. When it is my daughters time to look for a wedding dress, we will go straight to Margo at Eltsa.
