In all sincerity, choosing Emily was one of the best decisions we made in the wedding planning process. We were very committed to having our wedding be as sustainable as possible, ...
which is what initially attracted us to her work. After our engagement shoot, there was no question that we went with the right photographer. She made us feel so comfortable, let us be ourselves, and was also great about providing us direction (because let's be real, we didn't know what we were doing). The day of our wedding, she took charge and made sure all the photos on our list were accounted for. She captured the emotions and feeling of the day better than I could have ever imagined. Spending time with her picking out photos for the album was also a blast--Emily is truly just a joy to hang out with. I couldn't recommend her highly enough and we will treasure these photos forever!
I originally Reached out to Emily in November 2017 for my September 2019 wedding. Emily took the time to chat with me on the phone before booking to ensure we were both aware of w...
hat the other wanted. Emily took the time to drive to our small town in Maine that both my husband and I are from, and take photos in important places for our engagement photos. Fast forward to wedding preparation, and Emily visited the church where the ceremony was to take place to ensure she had the proper equipment for the dimly lit space. I am what you would call “an extra bride”, and she was able to work with me and ensure there would be no hiccups in my extensive plan for the day. Emily is not only a fantastic vendor to work with, but without a doubt, the most gifted photographer. She was able to capture the most beautiful images in two very different locations for our special day. The photos in the church where the ceremony took place and by the ocean where our reception took place, are equally as beautiful. I cannot imagine working with anyone other than Emily and have the highest regards for her as an artist and individual. Emily will not disappoint, and capture moments in time that will last a lifetime with her beautiful photography. I would recommend Emily for any type of photography you may need.

ing different shots. We loved her approachable style and felt super relaxed working with her. She knows exactly how to capture the right moments and helped us create a beautiful wedding album. She's smart, funny and talented - what more could you ask for?!
Also super LGBT friendly! :)
I wish I could give Emily more than 5 stars!! Selecting her as our wedding photographer was one of the best choices we made during the entire planning process. She delivers truly p...
henomenal work and has such an artistic eye. Emily also did our adventure engagement session and we spent all day with her hiking on Mt Washington. She helps you feel comfortable and truly listens to everything you're looking for. If you're looking for stunning photos and an amazing experience, you can't go wrong with Elusive!
We chose Emily to shoot our wedding this past May and she was unbelievable! She was great to work with, and remembered all the special shots that we wanted. She had us prepare a s...
hot list ahead of time and stuck to that, so we were able to make good use of the allotted time that we had.
Obviously a wedding is a big day with lots going on, but I never noticed Emily there. We have so many amazing photos, a lot of intimate moments that I never knew she was capturing! Everything felt organic and natural. The editing was great too, one reason we chose Elusive Photo was because of the way she captures landscape, emotion, and lighting. She also kept an eye out for things we wouldn’t have thought of - a “dead” hand, bad angles, etc...I appreciated the guidance, and that she had the confidence to direct us so we got the best photos.
Honestly we couldn’t be more thrilled, and she is worth the investment!
10000% recommend. Amazing photographer & even better person. Since our wedding was a destination we had to narrow down alot of our vendors via internet searches. From the moment we...
met Emily she made us feel comfortable & relaxed. She was always available and quickly responded to my random emails. Emily was so helpful: doing recon of our destination beforehand to find great picture locations, offering vendor recommendations, and much more!
The day of Emily was invisible in the best way! She was never in people’s faces or blocking their way during the ceremony or reception. She snuck around the whole time taking amazing pictures. She was organized and ready to move the whole time. Photograph ninja!
SO glad we chose Emily as our wedding photographer & would do so again in a heartbeat!
We met Emily a year before our wedding and instantly liked her. She was easy to talk to, took time to get to know us, and really was understanding of my nervousness around a camera...
. She took amazing pictures for us during an engagement session (they made the best Christmas cards that year) and we couldn’t wait to have her photograph our wedding! When our wedding day rolled around, she was amazing. The day of she was amazingly accommodating, reassuring, and just an overall friendly face to be around with just the two of us as we did our first look and pictures with just the two of us before our ceremony. I was nervous, once again, and she was funny, super personable, and overall the most calming part of my day. She turned around our pictures faster than I expected and I couldn’t believe them! So many brought actual tears to my eyes. Our venue was extremely rustic and Emily made it absolutely shine in photographs! She also managed to capture me looking happy and peaceful - which is a feat. We wanted a more candid aspect to our pictures and she killed it. Emily was the best vendor we hired for our wedding and would do it again in a heartbeat.

d easy, then on the day of she was awesome. She was very easygoing and we could be our silly selves with no judgement. Her pictures turned out sososo good, we are absolutely thrilled. She really captured all the little moments in our day, and got lots of pictures of guest interactions... exactly what we were looking for. We're excited to see what our albums look like! She was also very reasonably priced, especially considering the southern Maine wedding industry is booming.

ages on her website. She was flexible, kind, genuine and professional during both our engagement shoot and wedding day. We are so pleased with our photographs and will cherish them for the rest of our lives. She is very knowledgeable and an expert in her field. We have had MANY people comment on our photos and we (and our families) could not be happier. I have recommended her to other brides and friends who are looking for some timeless photos. Thank you, Emily, for making our day even more special - we are forever grateful.

ily be our Photographer. Communication was consistent and very professional. She asked all the right questions. I was a very inexperienced planner and knew nothing about hiring people or what wedding planning entailed but Emily made sure to find out what we wanted and what we were hoping to get from our photos. In order to get our sunset shots she walked through the snow in her flats to get the perfect pictures. Her style feels artistic to me and really fun to be a part of. She made my Husband and I feel comfortable and she had great ideas. We recently got to see our pictures and we were BLOWN AWAY. She paid amazing attention to detail. We are really looking forward to getting our Album. Emily designed it and when we looked it over to make changes we didn't change a thing. We would recommend her to anyone.
Our experience with Emily was amazing! She was down to earth, yet professional, and worked hard to give us the experience we had imagined. She had a grasp of what I was looking for...
with only a short phone call, and meeting before the big day only confirmed that. I would definitely recommend Elusive Photography to anybody looking for a friendly, professional, knowledgeable photographer.

he was. My husband and I planned a very last minute elopement and Emily was beyond incredible throughout the whole process. It poured the day of our wedding, and then was a drizzle/steady rain during our ceremony and all our photos during the afternoon. We were outside with no umbrellas or tent, and Emily never complained. In fact, she embraced the weather right along with us and celebrated the beauty it added to our day. She captured the most stunning images of our day and it's impossible for us to pick any "favorites" because we love them all! Not a day goes by that I am not thankful we chose Emily to photograph our wedding. She is a total doll and the quality and beauty of her work speaks for itself!

o the client's needs. When I approached her to do a video for my business, she knew exactly what I was looking for. We worked together closely on all of the details and she always responded promptly and in the end revealed my work precisely.
