I'm an extremely type A person and have issues not having control, but with these ladies it was easy to put my trust in them and they did not disappoint.

I’m telling you— she will absolutely crush a fairytale wedding kind of vibe, with overflowing roses and candles galore, or — as it was for me— she can make your particular dreams come true in a way that exceeded my own expectations. Truly, these two are not only very talented, but they are great listeners, they are diplomatic in dealing with strong opinions from mothers, and they are genuinely trying to make your dream-wedding come true. Not to mention, I found their services to be well priced for the level of white-glove service we received. Elyse helped us with every step of the process-- from booking the venue, the photographer (shoutout Lance Nicholl!), ceremony musicians, second-line musicians, a great 12-piece band, a florist who understood our vision, caterers, renting out a boutique hotel and setting up the room block at Hotel Peter and Paul, finding a videographer, locking in hair and make up (shoutout to Haley Rose and Melissa Vaccaro!! the best)-- the list goes on! Not only that, but she also helped us make custom pieces that perfectly fit our vibe— from a wooden backdrop for Marigny Opera House to adding fabric to the bar and the backs of seats that matched our napkins, to utilizing Scriptura to bring our mascot Franklin (a frog drawn by NOLA artist Coco Schramel) to custom hankies, matchbooks, cups, and koozies. When we wanted to cut back some of the price, Elyse helped us find places to trim that would maintain our look but help us feel more relaxed in our wallets. Similarly, Ashley is such a pleasure to work with — I really enjoyed Ashley’s practicality and upfrontness in how she communicated with us. Ashley kept us within budget and on schedule to pay all of our deposits and final payments, which can be hard to keep track of. Our budget excel sheet was super clear and consistently updated, and our entire Google Drive of documents, which ends up being a LOT of stuff, was always well maintained and easy to track. As I was planning the wedding from Los Angeles, Elyse and Ashley were invaluable in finding and locking in the top vendors in New Orleans— from florist, to caterers, hair and make up, hotel, etc. We found out about Melrose Mansion through Elyse and Ashley, and ended up renting out the hotel for the wedding party. I especially found Elyse and Ashley helpful during this portion, as it got a bit complicated with how our friends would pay for their rooms and how we would be reimbursed. Ashley made us an Excel sheet that helped us track the type and cost of the room, and was a liaison between us and the hotel. This is just one of many examples of how they helped to smooth out the planning process. Whether you are local to New Orleans or if you are planning a destination wedding, I highly recommend Elyse and Ashley. Thank you both for everything!

The frenzy created on Instagram when the "sneak peak" photos were released took me by surprise!!! Please know that in the case of my daughter's wedding, it does not feel cliche to say that the wedding was a dream! Her reception was truly a fairy tale! This did not happen by accident.... my daughter gave me the greatest gift any bride could give the MOB, she hired Elyse and Ashley!!! She said, "Elyse and Ashley ARE truly the Wedding Planners Dream Team! Mom, I know how you are .... and Elyse is the ONLY planner that you would ever want and trust! She is the best of the best!!!" My daughter was so right!!! Elyse and Ashley's knowledge of the wedding industry is second to none. The relationships they have established with the A-team wedding vendors is a huge perk of doing business!!! But make no mistake.... it is their attention to minutest detail that fills my very type-A soul... and Elyse's uncanny vision and wedding expertise that brings the Bride's dreams to life!!! Is Elyse Jennings "The Wedding Planner Fairy Godmother?"..... ABSOLUTELY! One last thing, not only are Elyse and Ashley the consummate professionals, but they are genuinely the nicest people that you will meet!!!! In summary, my review comes down to this: Brides ... 1) say YES to the right groom, and then 2) say YES to the right planner ... and that is Elyse Jennings Weddings!!!! I am definitely a type A bride and had very high hopes and expectations for the design and experience, and my expectations were exceeded beyond my wildest dreams because of EJW. A few specific highlights: 1. One of the things that stands out to me the most is that Elyse is the ultimate problem solver; if an issue ever arose, she brought it to me with multiple solutions/alternatives so that by the time I knew about it, it didn't even feel like an issue. We had outdoor photos planned for our wedding and the forecast was terrible, and I wasn't even remotely stressed or upset because I knew Elyse, Ashley, and our photographer Cat Guidry were so on top of it. In the end, the plan B they came up with resulted in photos that were absolutely stunning, even better than the original plan. 2. Elyse recommended every vendor that we worked with and every single one was absolutely incredible. Our photographer, videographer, florist, band, hair and makeup, etc.--every single one was amazing to work with and exceeded our expectations. You can 10000% trust Elyse and Ashley to recommend the vendors that are not just the best, but specifically who is best for you and your vision and personality. 3. The design. omg. I knew it would be beautiful based on our planning meetings but Elyse took my vision/inspiration and made the reality more stunning and spectacular than I ever could have dreamed. Our guests are still talking about how insane the floral design was. 4. The experience. The majority of our guests attend a TON of weddings and sooo many people told us ours was the most epic and fun wedding they've ever experienced. We even had multiple people tell us how much they specifically loved the flow of the event. Again, I attribute this 100% to EJW's planning and coordination expertise. Also need to give a special shoutout to the fact that an hour into my reception my bustle broke and Elyse whipped out her sewing kit and fixed it within 5 minutes. Add seamstress extraordinaire to the list of what makes her the very best--she is seriously unbelievable!!!

During the weeks and months leading up to the wedding Elyse and Ashley planned hours of calls to walk through every single detail. Although we were discussing logistics and colors they made a point to ask me constantly questions like, "how do you want to feel in this moment" or "what's the most important thing for you to get out of this moment" which always made me pause and reflect on what the purpose of the day is. When you are in the thick of wedding planning it is way too easy to get stuck on minute details and forget about the big picture. I think that is the difference between a good wedding planner and a great wedding planner. A good wedding planner helps you work with vendors and makes sure that the day goes smoothly; a great wedding planner is able to translate what you want into feelings and emotions. A great wedding planner truly can feel like a magician and Elyse Jennings is pure magic.

They even made sure all of our items (bouquet, wedding cake, veil, etc.) made it back to our hotel rooms. Our wedding was the most perfect day we could have dreamed of. I'll never forget when we walked into our dinner at the wedding - how beautiful everything looked. The EJW team made the design plan come to life. It was better than I could have ever imagined. Even members of our wedding party who had recently gotten married were going out of their way to voice how amazing the EJW team was handling everything. To be worry free on your wedding day and be able to enjoy every second is truly priceless.

The vendors they connected us with were amazing, and they communicated with them on our behalf. All communication was organized and efficient, and they worked with our communication style as well. We all primarily worked out of shared files via Google Drive they they created, and it was so easy as we had multiple family members involved in the planning as well. Their documents were amazing and kept everyone up to date. They worked with our requests and set realistic expectations to ensure we understood how the process/planning worked. We had a handful of phone meetings/conference calls with them throughout the planning process, and we would go over every detail of the wedding weekend to ensure we stayed within budget. The wedding weekend went by so fast, but it was such a dream and it went so smoothly thanks to Ashley! She worked seamlessly with the vendors to ensure it was a perfect day. From coordinating with the photographer, videographer, venue, catering, etc. to holding up my dress while I needed to use the restroom, wiping my nose for me in between pictures, fanning air under my dress because it was so hot out - she was there!!! She had an extra coordinator help keep all of the groomsmen organized as well. Ashley helped coordinate a second line with band and street permits as well. Thank God permits were just reinstated a few days before our wedding and Ashley was the first to let us know! The whole weekend blew us away, and all of our guests/family cannot stop talking about how beautiful and how much fun the whole evening was!!! We are sad it is all over, but cannot thank Ashley and Elyse enough for all of their help and hard work to helping make it the perfect weekend!!

After we cut the cake BAM the party band had arrived from Atlanta and the hype from the guests was out of control. We danced the night away and our guests never knew the acoustic set/cocktail hour wasn't the plan all along. I will never be able to thank Elyse Jennings Weddings for all of their hard word, creativity, patience, and calming nature throughout this process. They made wedding planning so much fun!

COVID-19, the ceremony was pushed to early August. Through such uncertain times, they guided us through every scenario and kept us ahead of the game and prepared to make tough decisions. They are also very organized, very knowledgeable, and extremely detail-oriented, so much so that my mom and I couldn’t stop saying, “They think of everything!” throughout the wedding planning process. We feel so honored to have had them on our side. Our wedding day flowed flawlessly, and I could not have dreamt of a better or more perfect day. We had such an amazing experience over the past several months with the EJW team that we knew the first thing we needed to do after our wedding was lock them in for our big reception/one-year anniversary party in 2021! We are forever grateful for Elyse & Ashley. They are so talented at what they do and are simply the BEST of the BEST!

From transporting close to 200 guests on coach buses from the French Quarter to the Garden District and back, to ending the night with an amazing Second Line (and lots of very excited guests), every aspect of the day went smoothly and the family and bridal party were able to relax and enjoy with no worries or hassle (even our guests were talking about how impressed they were that everything was perfect)! Elyse is so creative and was able to bring to life all of my design ideas and really transform the ballroom into a fluid space. Not only was everything beautiful, but all of our guests have told me it was the most fun wedding they will ever attend. Elyse and Ashley are calm and organized and work seamlessly with the photographers, videographers, florists, and all of the vendors involved . Also newcomer Britni is the sweetest and I so enjoyed having her in the bridal suite with us! I am so happy we hired Elyse and her team and would highly recommend them to anyone. The day wouldn't have been the same without them!

After we luckily stumbled upon Elyse Jennings Weddings, these incredible ladies managed to get to know us, consider all of our interests and values, and turn it into the best night of our (and many of our guests!) lives. Things I NEVER would have thought of. Also, Elyse and her team are crazy organized. I'm talking next level, y'all. You should have seen the check-list/timeline they put together for me - it was seriously a work of art. My videographer (who is from out of state and has worked many a big budget weddings) told me he had never met a wedding planner more detailed-oriented and efficient - I believe his exact words were, "I've never had the privilege of working with anyone like them." To top it all off, Elyse and Ashley were ALWAYS available to me, no matter what day or time it was...and I constantly had questions (raise your hand if you continually overthink everything). Despite my persistent inquiries, they remained patient, professional and helpful. So much so, that when the day of my wedding rolled around, I was SO. DAMN. CHILL. Like, spa day chill. And that to me, was the greatest wedding present of all - being able to focus on marrying my best friend and not obsessing over all the insignificant details. So, do yourself a favor and HIRE THIS DREAM TEAM! ESPECIALLY if you're planning a big wedding. You won't be disappointed!!!

Elyse and Ashley basically "took over" 6 weeks out, handling all contracts, timetables, payment schedules and negotiations. They provided us with meticulous lists, schedules and reminders so that it was basically impossible to overlook any important detail. They provided suggestions and answers to "worst case scenarios", especially since our wedding weekend was supposed to be a washout. Never once did they panic or appear stressed throughout this whole process. Despite the countless number of phone calls, requests, questions and concerns from our end, EJWP responded with kindness and patience...day or night! But the best part of all was the wedding weekend. As the mother of the bride, I was able to enjoy the entire weekend because I knew that Elyse and her competent team were in charge. I was able to relax and have fun as though I had no worries or responsibilities in the world. Having that feeling all weekend was priceless. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Elyse and Ashley, for being so kind, enthusiastic and hard working during these past 6 weeks. You were the absolute BEST!!

ation, New Orleans was it. I was stressed about planning a destination wedding, and to make matters worse, got very negative "vibes" from the planner that we spoke to in Houston. THEN we found EJW! After talking to Ashley over the phone, my mom and I were completely on board. We cannot imagine the entire process going more smoothly. They are professional, super organized, calm (even when you are not), and know how to pull together an amazing party. With their direction and organization, decisions were easy and the whole process was super fun! Thank you to the EJW team for an amazing wedding weekend. Everything was perfect, start to finish. She had us fill out some documentation about what we wanted for our wedding and she brought that vision to life even more perfect than what I could have imagined. The design that she put together was beyond magical and it was stunning to see it all come together. On the day of the wedding, I did not have to worry about anything planning wise and I'm so thankful for that. There was a plan in place for everything imaginable and I repeat - I can't imagine doing all of that without her. She and her team are personable, organized, professional and it was such a pleasure to work with all of them. I can't give them enough praise for their help throughout the entire wedding planning process and I'm beyond thankful to have gotten the opportunity to be an EJW Bride!

I am so happy we chose them to plan our wedding and am honestly crying happy tears while writing this review, as not only was it THE best day of our lives, but our whole guest list thought the same. It was beyond perfect and seamless. They are smooth, efficient, cool calm & collected leading up to the wedding day and also during. They put any stress that we had to ease and quite honestly was an amazing stress-free process with them. I had high expectations for them because I had heard such amazing reviews through both friends and online... and they still exceeded our expectations ABOVE AND BEYOND through the entire process!!!! Starting one month from our wedding date, Ashley covered every single detail, even the ones I never even imagined to think of, with such professionalism, organization, confidence and patience with me!!!! Ashley was there at all hours of the day and night when I needed to text or email her with a question or concern and she had a solution or had already taken care of it before I could even get to it. Once wedding weekend rolled around.. I swear I trusted this girl with my life!! I felt 1000 percent confident that she had anything I had forgotten, or hadn’t even thought of, under control. And she did!!! Not only was she so vital for me and my husbands peace of mind on the wedding weekend, but she was in control of and helpful to my entire very large family. At the end of the wedding my mom told Ashley that she didn’t know what we were gonna do without her and asked if she could take ashley home with her!!! Not only was she on top of every single detail, she was also a friend and an amazing support system on my big day and helped keep me calm the whole time. Even going out of her way to steam my dress and fan me in the heat seconds before walking down the aisle!! I couldn’t possibly put all of the good things I have to say about this company into one review. If you are in search of a wedding planner... HIRE ELYSE JENNINGS!! It is worth every penny and more and will change your entire wedding experience.
