Elysium Quartet

The Elysium Quartet added the PERFECT ambience for our wedding, both during the arrivals and for the actual ceremony. They sounded so beautiful and really gave the whole evening a sense of real class (and hearing the quartet inside the Glen Foerd mansion was a match made in heaven). The selections during arrivals were the perfect choices, and their timing for the ceremony pieces was absolutely spot-on. Plus they were all so lovely to work with. Would highly recommend them for anyone’s wedding/event!

The best decision I made for our wedding was having Elysium Quartet play at our wedding and cocktail hour. The church sounded heavenly with the sound of the strings playing from start to finish during our ceremony. So many of our guest complemented them to us as we made our way around the room during our reception. I would strongly recommend having them play at your wedding if possible. Julie worked with the church music director on the arrangements of songs I selected and everything came together perfectly. I honestly can't say enough of how wonderful they sounded! Elysium Quartet recently performed at my wedding ceremony on 10/7/2023. The live music added such a special touch to the wedding ceremony. The musicians were very professional and friendly and performed beautifully! We were able to customize almost every element of their set-list from song choice to size of ensemble. I was worried about the weather on my wedding day, as it was lightly raining, and they were still able to perform under cover! My only complaint through the whole process was that the group was sometimes hard to contact, but all the details were in place by the wedding day!

Julie & Elysium Quartet were phenomenal. With little guidance from me, they played amazing music and the flow from reception to cocktail hour was perfect. I heard very nice things from all of my guests!

In short, Elysium was great. They offer several options (duet, trio, quartet), all very reasonably priced, and they are very easy to deal with leading up to the wedding. They have a great combination of modern and classical songs that you can select from and sounded great during our ceremony and cocktail hour. One of our favorite vendors and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to add a live music element to their wedding at a reasonable value!

Our daughter's wedding couldn't have been more perfect!! We held a traditional Catholic mass and Elysium Quartet provided the strings and harp as well as a soloist. We received so many comments from our guests on how beautiful the music was and how elegant the wedding ceremony was due to the musicians. Elysium Quartet was amazing! We had their trio - cello, violin and viola - play at my daughters wedding yesterday from the time guests arrived through the ceremony and during the cocktail hour. We used Elysium to play for the cocktail hour at our wedding. They were absolutely phenomenal! Julie and her team were so great to work with! We hired a trio for our daughters wedding at Hotel Bethlehem in Bethlehem, PA. It was fantastic! They played for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception and our guests thoroughly enjoyed it!! I can not say enough good things about the selection of music, the ability to read the room and the talent! Very appreciative of the opportunity to work with Julie and Elysium!!

We cannot recommend the Elysium Quartet enough. They played both the ceremony and cocktail hour, and even agreed to accompany a family friend who sang a solo during the ceremony. Everything was beautiful and we received numerous compliments from our guests both on the quality of the music and their range (hymns, classical, jazz, movie soundtracks, pop, and everything in between). Julie was great to work with during the entire planning process, including when we had to reschedule due to Covid. From their professionalism, communication, and flexibility to the pure quality of the group's performance, the Elysium Quartet was a highlight of our wedding day.

Thank you Elysium! We had a trio play at our daughter's wedding and they were wonderful. They played outside during the ceremony at the John James Audubon Center (totally flexible as we didn't know what the weather would be like until the last minute) and then in the barn for the cocktail hour. If you're considering a string quartet for your wedding, 1) yes, it is absolutely worth it; and 2) book Elysium immediately. We contracted with Elysium for our September 2022 wedding. They were so easy-going and supportive of my both traditional and non-traditional song choices, and also offered great ideas for pre- and post-ceremony songs. They showed up early and played beautifully. They were also super reasonably priced, which is always a bonus. My husband played viola for many years, and jokes that he unfortunately always picks up on the small mistakes that occur during live performances. He didn't hear a single one with Elysium - they were absolute perfection.

Elysium made our wedding that much more special with their performance. I dreamed of having string instruments play when I walked down the aisle and they absolutely made the ceremony perfect. They were very easy to work with and to sounded amazing.

Elysium Quartet was a fantastic addition to our wedding. We had them play for the ceremony and cocktail hour and while I only was able to hear a few songs during the ceremony (taking too many pics during cocktail hour even though I tried to avoid this lol), the guests raved about how talented they were, and especially loved the modern songs played on the strings. I loved hearing the wedding party walk to Canon in D and my song with my dad was A Thousand Years. But, the best part for me was when my husband and I were finally married and walking back up the aisle to Game of Thrones Intro song. It was classic!! The guests loved it! This is an incredibly talented and professional group.

Elysium was the best choice for our wedding. We had the quartet play for our ceremony and cocktail hour. From the beginning, Julie was extremely communicative and easy to work with. She provided great guidance on what music might be best for different parts of the day, and worked with us to make sure we were getting exactly what we wanted. The quartet sounded so beautiful, and we had so many guests comment on how awesome they were playing during cocktails. I wish I had been able to hear more of them, but being the bride I was not always around when they played!!! We would recommend Elysium to anyone!

One thing my now husband and I knew going into the wedding planning process was how much we appreciate classical music. When I mentioned the idea of a string quartet for our ceremony, he said, "yes!" before I could finish my question. After doing some research, we found Elysium Quartet. We listened to their repertoire samples on the website, and I had chills the entire time, knowing that for both our ceremony and cocktail hour... they were the perfect match for us. I reached out to Julie, who was incredibly kind, responsive, and accommodating throughout the entire process. I had a special request for a custom processional piece, and without missing a beat, Elysium arranged it for us and played it SO eloquently. All of our guests were amazed by the quality of the music and how it made for an elegant wedding to remember! Not only are they the best in the Lehigh Valley, but they're also the best I've ever heard!

My husband and I hired the Elysium Quartet to play at my sister-in-law’s wedding, as this was going to be our wedding gift. We needed a group to play just for the ceremony, as well as 30 or so minutes of prelude music. They were perfect…great to work with, and they were very accommodating in terms of the music requests. I actually called them the night before the wedding to request a change in the Bride’s processional music. Julie was happy to make the change at the last minute, and she assured me that everything would go smoothly. On the day of the wedding, it couldn’t have gone any better. Their prelude music was a mixture of traditional classical tunes that you would expect to hear at a wedding, but also some modern pieces that really caught the audience’s attention. When the ceremony started, they transitioned seamlessly from the different pieces that we had chosen for the wedding party and the bride’s processional. The bride received so many compliments about how great they sounded. I know some weddings choose not to use live music for the ceremony to keep costs down, but I am so glad that we decided to hire them as a gift. They helped create the perfect atmosphere to the ceremony, and they sounded amazing.

Their music was beautiful and definitely added a nice touch to our wedding. Unfortunately I don’t think I would book them for another event. With all the stress a bride already deals with day of the wedding.. my coordinator came up to me 30 minutes before walking down the aisle saying they weren’t there yet and they couldn’t get ahold of them. Luckily they showed up but even from the beginning of planning the communication was awful. It took days to a week for them to email back and then them not showing up until minutes before was the icing on the cake. I don’t think I would recommend them to future couples.

Elysium was just amazing for our wedding and we are so thankful and blessed that we made this choice! We had hymns and pop music, a weird mix...but everything sounded beautiful!

We had Elysium for our wedding back in August but started planning about a year before that. From the beginning the communication was really top notch, and even when we had to reschedule the date Elysium was super flexible and understanding. We LOVED the music that we had for our ceremony and for cocktail hour. It was such a relief to have them be so organized and helpful.

Elysium was awesome from beginning to end. We had a number of special requests and they all sounded great. I wish I could have heard more of it besides when I was walking down the aisle, but our guests were raving about the music so I know it was amazing! They also played for our first dance to "All of Me" so now every time I hear it I think about that moment. Best music out there-you'll love it!

It was easy to book with them, they listen to your requests and if your not sure what you like they help guide you to find something you love. They showed up on time and sounded beautiful.

We first heard the quartet at a friend's wedding and immediately knew they had to play for our daughter's wedding. Their music filled every corner of the church with the glorious sounds of Bach, Handel, The Beatles, and our chosen hymns. During the cocktail hour, Game of Thrones and Show Tunes were the theme. The musicians were very accommodating and easy to work with. Their music was an integral part of our daughter's unforgettable wedding day.

from day one Julie was very responsive and answered all of my questions and explained everything in great detail. I can't tell you how extremely happy we picked them to play at out ceramony. Julie and Elysium were absolutely amazing. Brilliant musicians that were so easy to work with it. We had a pianist and violinist play our cocktail hour and our guests have literally not stopped raving since. Elysium Quartet just played the ceremony for my daughters outdoor wedding and they were wonderful. As a family of professional musicians, we knew the quality of musicians we were hiring and we were not disappointed. My husband and I have nothing but great things to say about Elysium Quartet. We used them for our ceremony and Cocktail Hour at Morris Arboretum this past September 13th, 2019. The ceremony music was beautiful, we kept it traditional and classical. But we wanted to have some fun for cocktail hour so we had to pay homage to the reason my husband and I met- our mutual love for Phil Collins. Elysium was able to give us an amazing cocktail hour that was full of all our favorite Phil Collins songs!!! We got so many compliments throughout the night about how beautiful the music was for both the ceremony and cocktail hour. If you are considering using Elysium Quartet, do it! You will not regret it!!!

We had the Elysium Quartet play for our church organist/choir director’s retirement celebration dinner. They were a pleasure to work with from first contact to the end of the event. Their selection of classical and jazz music was excellent as was their musicality. This size ensemble provided the right level of sound for this event. You could hear the music, but still be able to converse with people across the table.

From what I remember, they sounded good. However, the cellist ended up not showing up. Apparently, he got sick on his way there. That was a bummer because we ended up with just a violin and viola. But they ended up sending me a check for the difference with an apology card, which was nice. That's my only complaint, but if I were still a bride, I'd want to know that happened.
