Christina in housekeeping is absolutely hands down the best I’ve met! I’ve worked in hotels many years and she is top notch service without asking! My mom can barely walk and refused to use the elevator and she stayed with my kids and helped me...
find my mom who has memory and walking issues! I’m absolutely grateful for her our room was spectacular she gave my kids some teas and she was just amazing and did more then just housekeeping! She deserves best housekeeping award! We do also want to mention the front desk, vallet, and other hotel staff they all were spectacular and never even had to ask everything was done before I could do anything! Amazing service will definitely stay again for more appointments!

I would definitely stay at this hotel again when we come back to Portland. The staff were simply amazing from the front desk, room attendants, hotel engineer, bartenders, restaurant staff, and cooks who made omelets. I loved that this hotel had...
a hot tub (they have two, but only one was operational). Their breakfast was amazing every morning. Cooked to order omelets... Delicious! Their evening reception was delightful! We were surprised at the variety of drinks available. I wouldn't hesitate staying here again with my family. It was easy to navigate to everything we wanted to see in Portland via public transit. We took the light rail to a station nearby and didn't get in a car once. The rooms were spacious and beds comfortable. Loved it!

I love the embassy. Great location to everything. Unfortunately, with Portland being a bit more seedy than the appreciated 'Portland scene'- the Embassy is on the line of being a perfect location and being in an area where you are glad they hav...
e great amenities for the evening. We come every 3 months for a staycation with our kiddo. She loves the pool - going to Voodoo donuts- hitting up Saturday market and eating out at Pine St. 💙- then some late night swimming and battle bots with left over pizza in the room. Thanks for always being a solid place with friendly service.
- it's super close to great food, bars and kid friendly outings.
- adult time: great place to stay after a show, walking distance to ground control 👍, wonderful restaurants and bars all within close proximity.

Beautiful hotel in downtown. Staff in front of hotel and key-card access to all amenities and even the elevators made it a safe experience. The location was great, as everything we wanted to see was within a reasonable walking distance. Be sure...

Historic, great location, great staff, great amenities. First off, thank you and shoutout to Maya for their exceptional customer service. Room was nice and spacious, bed was comfy. You can tell this this a popular hotel for people to stay at, b...

Would return here over and over again. Such a rich history in the building and embassy suites always meets the mark. Location is perfect, walkable to anything you could want to eat. Kid friendly. Beautiful pool. Clean recently updated rooms.

Our stay here a week ago for a night was wonderful. Staff were kind enough to prepare everything for us beforehand. We requested for a crib a few weeks ahead thru the manager, Alex Dawes, who was very accommodating and made sure we get one. I w...
ould like to assume that we also got a room upgrade because I only booked for a room with a king size bed but we got a room that came with a living room as well. It was very comfortable for my little one, and we appreciate all the effort from the staff. Ryan from the front desk was very kind and we had a smooth and quick check in because of him ☺️

Location was great but the views are pretty terrible. I guess the parking garage view gave some privacy so there’s that. Room didn’t have any hand towels and had barely any furniture. We picked a bad weekend to stay because there was a huge che...
er competition going on and the pool and hot tubs were full of screaming children the entire day which was a bummer because this was one of the reasons we chose this hotel.
Breakfast was really good. Evening reception was ok. The free cocktail was nice but the snacks were minimal and it was Full of screaming children. Not exactly what you would expect from a supposedly nice hotel. This hotel is really just econolodge quality in a historic building. Nothing special about it unless you want to check out the poorly preserved historical features.

Stayed here twice on weekends in March. It's an antique hotel that was something else before Embassy took it over and they charge everyone an antique preservation fee at check in (about $5). The first room was nice and large while the second r...
oom (despite booking the same room for both stays) was much smaller and not as nice (room 206). In particular, the air unit in this room wouldn't stop running no matter what was tried, making it really cold until having to turn on the heat to negate that, which then made it really hot. Didn't sleep well at all due to having to have the air unit on for the full night either and this definitely was a disappointment. Also, the first weekend there, there was a cheer competition so the place was loaded with screaming children everywhere- elevators, lobby, breakfast, and in all of the amenities. Not their fault but not particularly pleasant. Breakfast is solid, with a made-to-order omelet station, though it's in a subterranean room that's very dim.
On the plus side, the hotel is near about all of the downtown attractions, blocks from the Max, and really easy to get a running route in- went about four blocks south to Alder, then crossed a bridge to get on a trail headed south that parallels the Willamette for miles.
Overall, a decent place if the price is right- however, I'm not sure I'd book it for the $200+/night it frequently lists at.

The location is great, the lobby is dreamy and the staff is ready to help and the pool is awesome. Unfortunately the rooms are pretty rundown, somehow there were stains and tears on everything from the curtains to the lampshades to the walls. W...
e stayed in the summer and the AC was broken but the front desk folks were very helpful trying to assist.
We were told there was only one person cleaning and running room service for the whole hotel that weekend. I hope they treat their employees better in the future.
