About this vendor
Hey, adventurous lovers! I’m Emmie.
I’m a wedding and lifestyle photographer available across Alaska with a passion for capturing joy-filled love stories.
You deserve to have every moment of your day captured authentically. Not just the big events from your first look to your epic exit, but every moment in-between: the tears, the nerves, the laughs.
I think of myself as so much more than one of your vendors…I’m the friend who helps you craft a seamless timeine, brings you water, fixes your hair, zips up your dress (No joke — one of my favorite elopements entailed me helping the bride into her wedding dress in an outhouse at 17 degrees). In short, I’m here to help in any way that I can.
When I’m not snapping pics, you can find me swinging fly lines, hiking mountains, and road tripping with my better half, Joe.
Let’s capture your joy-filled love in a way that tells your true story.
I can’t wait to meet you!

Emelia K Photography captured the energy, love, and unique details of our wedding flawlessly. She made us feel so comfortable all day, caught every candid moment, and gave us photo...
s we will treasure forever. I am blown away by the photos she took (and so were our guests)! If you're looking for a talented photographer in Alaska, we can't recommend Emmie enough!
The first time we met Emmie for a meeting just to chat and see if she was a good fit with us, we knew right away that we'd love to work with her! She and her husband Joe (videograp...
her) are an awesome team, they create beautiful work, and put us at ease in front of the camera. We knew we could rely on them to help us capture cherished memories of our wedding. We received 70+ sneak peak photos only 4 days after our wedding and are so excited to see the rest and the wedding video later on. We highly recommend working with Emmie and Joe!
Emmy and Joe are a top notch duo!

mmy was incredibly helpful and a wonderful sounding board when determining a wedding location and reception location.
She and Joe are so talented! We constantly look back at our photos and repeatedly watch our wedding video. And if you’re reading this wondering if the video is worth the extra money.. Yes! Yes it is! The video brings that day back to life even more than the photos.

Emmie is a beam of sunshine, and I am so happy that she captured the most beautiful photos of ourselves that we will ever take. From the beginning, her energy was awesome, she list...
ened to all the requests and concerns I had before the wedding, and the photos ended up spectacular. My camera-shy husband even said he had a fun time during the photo shoot, which is honestly a miracle! I love that the photos look natural, not overly edited, and that we tried lots of different things to get just the right ones. We are both very awkward in front of the camera, but she gave us so much helpful direction. There were many times where she told us to do something and I thought, "this seems weird, I bet we will look silly," and then after seeing the photos I was happily 100% wrong. I cannot recommend her enough, and if there is ever a reason I need a photographer again, I know exactly who I'm asking first.
I cannot say enough great things about Emmie and Joe. Emmie is hands down the best photographer I have ever worked with! And the two working together is just heavenly. Emmie is ext...
remely professional and kind. My husband is so anxious when it comes to being in front of the camera, but after a few minutes of warming up you could tell that he greatly relaxed and really enjoyed our time getting photographed. We did a photo shoot over the winter with another photographer and he was never able to relax with them.
We had such an amazing time with our engagement shoot and Emmie even stayed late (I’m saying Cooper Landing until 11:30pm, not home until after 2am) to make sure we got the best shots. She has such a passion and gift for what she does. And cares more about the people she’s working with than time lines.
I knew she would make our wedding photos a dream experience as well. And boy has she delivered! I cannot wait to get the rest of our photos and video back!
Trust me, you are doing yourself a favor by hiring Emmie!
Emmie and Joe,
Thank you for everything. We can’t wait to work with you more in the future.
Emmie facilitated our entire elopement by scouting locations and even allowing us to mail our flowers to her. Her and her husband were so kind and personable and put up with our cr...
azy. Kansas to Alaska is a haul, but they made it stress free. Highly recommend her quality, her customer service, her editing, and her personality. Her husband Joe did the video and the drone and they were an amazing team.
Emmie was SO MUCH FUN! Her welcoming and bubbly personality mixed with her professionalism and passion for her work made her the most perfect person to take our engagement photos. ...
It was obvious that she took time prior to our session to scout out the best locations that would benefit the outcome of our photos. Being new to the area, I’m so thankful that she took the reigns and dedicated a lot of time to perfectly capture our vision. She did an amazing job and we love our photos! Highly, HIGHLY recommend this lovely lady!
Words cannot say enough about how much we loved working with Emmie and Joe. We hired them for photography and videography and are SO pleased with results. They were beyond flexible...
with the entire planning process and on the day of. They lived hours from our ceremony site and made no mention and their need to travel in order to accommodate us; they truly just wanted us to be happy and stress-free. It was obvious that leading up to the wedding and on the big day, the only thing that mattered to them was our happiness and satisfaction. They are two of the most caring people and to have the capture our big day was beyond amazing. We got about 20 previews the day of and we’re given an estimate of four weeks for the rest of the photos/video; it only took three. If you’re in Alaska and need a photographer/videographer, Emmie and Joe are the most perfect option. Beautiful!
Emmie was absolutely incredible! I cannot recommend her highly enough. Our preview photos are amazing and I am so excited to see the full album. Emmie was an absolute delight to...
have at our small, intimate family wedding. We had to change plans from a large Anchorage gathering to a small family event at a remote location on an island in Kachemak Bay. She was so flexible, helpful, and fun throughout the process. Emmie took a ton of photos without it feeling overwhelming and without interrupting the intimacy of the ceremony or the occasion.
100% recommend her for any occasion. She was very affordable and a joy to have at our special day.
Emmie was wonderful! She kept me excited and smiling throughout all of the face numbing pictures. She listened to what my vision was for the photos and executed the task with the u...
tmost efficiency. I say efficiently because we were battling time with the oncoming sunset during the shortest Alaskan days of the year and the impending lack of lighting. She got me preview photos the day after the wedding and I absolutely cannot wait to see the rest.
I was so impressed with Emmie's ability to make the photo shoot fun and relaxing for me. She worked with me in picking out different locations and was incredibly attentive to detai...
l. I never felt rushed during our session and thoroughly enjoyed our time together. When I received the photos, I was thrilled with the result. I am so happy to have asked Emmie to take my photos and I cannot recommend her services enough.
My wedding was a total disaster! We had to move the ceremony inside because it started to rain, the cake was the wrong color, and the flowers were NOT the same bright colors as the...
ones I ordered. Everything was going wrong. Emmie's positivity held me together and made the day so much better, I did not expect to get that when I hired her. Although I was skeptical of a new photographer, having Emmie there to keep us smiling and reminding us what really mattered was such a blessing! I couldn't believe the amount of work that Emmie put into our wedding photos, she was obviously paying attention to why I was upset because by looking at the photos you'd think it was a dream wedding! In the photos everything is right! The cake is the right color, the flowers are exactly as I wanted them and you would never guess that it rained on our wedding day! I can't thank her enough for the magic she worked on my wedding, both during and after! Keep up the great work, Emmie!
Emmie has a great eye and made the whole photography experience really fun. Her sense of humor lightened the stressful moments and she was able to catch great smiles and expression...
s even from people who weren't really excited about having pictures taken! She was fun to work with from the very beginning of the process all the way to the end. I would definitely recommend her for any photos, from birthdays and graduations and family pictures to engagements and weddings. Awesome!

redible eye for detail and will capture the moments that no one else can, all the while being tireless and patient and a joy to work with. She took my senior photos as well as some professional headshots, and I couldn't be happier. I plan to have her photograph my wedding coming up in January. Highly HIGHLY recommend Emelia K.
