Arika and her husband Tim are phenomenal. The wedding day is obviously so stressful for many reasons, but they did a great job holding our hands through it and above all making us feel comfortable and excited throughout the day. Then, the photos themselves are BEAUTIFUL. We picked Arika because of her editing style and how the photos are so colorful, vivid, and true to the moment. Being a fall wedding, capturing the colors was very important to us and she nailed it 100%. They also did such a good job making sure we got all of the photos that we wanted throughout the day, making suggestions along the way, and staying for the whole reception to capture the chaotic and fun moments after dinner. Unbelievable photography and incredibly personable. We loved Emerald Anchor Photography and Arika and Tim.

What an absolutely incredible experience Arika and Tim provided for us as our wedding photographers and videographers. Arika and Tim are two magical humans I can't gloat about enough. They were amazingly accommodating to our budget, making sure we got exactly what we wanted. My husband and I live in California and had our wedding in Ohio. When I reached out initially, I was thinking of having someone else do our engagement shots just because we're so far. Arika made a special trip out to L.A. (newly pregnant, too, ROCKSTAR) and made sure we had the most perfect session ever. On our wedding day, she kept the timeline going smoothly for us and made sure we all were laughing and got the best smiles. I'm so impressed with Emerald Anchor. They are a talented, kind, driven team who are truly artists. Arika and her team are truly amazing! I'm obsessed with every single photo (engagement and wedding) she sent to us! We are so incredibly thankful for the photos and overall experience we had with Arika. It was important to me to have a photographer with us the entire day so when we found her I knew she was the right fit for us. We added on her videography service and are so happy that we did. We opted for the longer video (approx 5 min) and we love sharing it with our friends & family! The cost was absolutely reasonable and the videographer was with us the entire day as well. She is so friendly and professional and made sure our priorities were her priorities. We had to make several changes throughout the planning process and Arika was super responsive and flexible, which definitely alleviated a lot of stress. We had so much fun at our engagement session and we had full confidence in her going into the wedding!! Our wedding photos are simply amazing. She managed to capture every shot we hoped for and I love that there are so many (over 1000!) photos from our wedding. I discovered Emerald Anchor Photography through The Knot wedding app, we scheduled a meeting and I knew right away that they were the couple I wanted to capture our special day. Words can’t even begin to express how wonderful Arika was during our whole wedding process. From scheduling our engagement photos to our wedding day she offered suggestions, guidance and support to make our wedding process unforgettable. The pandemic hit everyone, but we weren’t going to let it ruin our special day. We had to make a few adjustments to our wedding day, but Arika was flexible and understanding. Arika fit right in with our family and friends. You could tell she was just excited as we were. She was laughing, smiling, dancing and singing all while capturing the most amazing pictures. She always kept the line of communication open and kept us informed of cost, deadlines and explained how we can view/purchase our pictures. She made everything SO easy! Looking through our pictures from our engagement session and wedding day brought ALL of the emotions out. I smiled, laughed, cried and got goosebumps on a few. It was like taking a walk down memory lane. I’m incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication Arika put into us and that especially shows in our pictures. Before our wedding, we started shopping around for a photographer for both engagement and wedding photos; Emerald Anchor had done my and my sister’s senior photos, as well as some family photos, but we thought there wouldn’t be any harm in looking for other options. Let me tell you, Emerald Anchor is worth every penny compared to the competition. Other photographers were either very restrictive with their photo options, were too expensive, or didn’t even bother to get back to us. Arika is responsive to messages, emails, and texts, but also makes sure that you are comfortable, both before the shoots and during the shoots. She does an amazing job at posing people so that it makes you look even better than you thought you could, and tries to loosen things up and have fun. To expand upon her attention to detail, she always hires a second shooter to make sure every Kodak moment is covered on your special day. And (And!) she really wants to cultivate a relationship with her clients, moving from client to friend. We were originally set for a wedding in the Fall, but had to move it up to May; although she had previous commitments for our new wedding date, she still provided two associate shooters for our wedding! The associates caught everything, from the product-photography type photos of the rings and outfits, to getting ready, and everything during the ceremony and reception. She then offered us a post wedding shoot, which was utterly breathtaking. Finally, we were able to work a payment plan out beforehand in order to accommodate our budget, receiving the photos after our final payment. We would definitely recommend her for any of your photo needs! :)

If you are looking for a photographer look no further. Arika is hands down the best! Our engagement photos and wedding photos are AMAZING and something we will cherish for the rest of our lives. Arika was so accommodating from being rained out on our engagement photos and having to reschedule, helping us make a day of timeline, incorporating our large and crazy family to even helping make sure everything ran smoothly the day of our wedding. We worked with Arika for our engagement photos and wedding photos. She was so flexible with our ideas and made us feel so comfortable that I also decided her to use her for a boudoir shoot as well. When we told them that we were getting married in Charleston, they were immediately in! Arika’s professional eye for photography gave us such a dreamy and colorful set of engagement photos in Charleston! The hues of orange and yellow on the beach at sunrise were absolutely stunning. As most things with CoVID, we had to change wedding plans last minute. Arika and Tim welcomed all last minute changes, adapted and helped us make our intimate wedding day so special. Wow! When my husband and I decided to choose Emerald Anchor as our photographer, we had no idea how RIGHT of a choice that was. Arika and Tim continually went above and beyond in every aspect. They were so fun to work with, and 100% genuine. Also, no hidden fee's or anything unexpected. Everything is clear, up front, and communicated well! As a bride- the last thing I wanted to do was stress about pictures. When it came to pictures, Arika and Tim were so easy to work with! Arika is extremely skilled at allowing the beautiful colors to truly 'POP' and make your moment come alive! There are so many wonderful and amazing things I could say about Emerald Anchor and working with Arika and Tim- but the last two things I will highlight are this: This business does not put a time limit on your day. When we were searching for a photographer, many offered 'x' hours before 'x' additional fee for every hour after that. No joke- Arika and Tim captured everything! Our wedding was LONG. They dedicated the entire day to us, from set up to tear down and everything in between- NOT ONCE did either of them complain or slow down in what they were doing. I truly felt beyond blessed as a bride to know I wasn't on a time clock for pictures. Lastly, Emerald Anchor did our videography. Our small request of recording the ceremony, "on a phone or something" turned into a full on video of the entire day, beautifully arranged with music and snippets of each moment as we were asked if we wanted to be guinea pigs for the ability to soon offer videography to their services. Arika and Tim truly go ABOVE AND BEYOND! Every dollar spent is pennies in comparison of what you receive. Their work is truly incredible, and working with them was such a pleasure. There are not enough stars to rate Emerald Anchor! I am so glad we went with them. There was not a single detail that she didn’t capture. What is amazing is there were pictures taken I would not have thought to have and glad we did! Their creative ability is truly amazing! I would highly recommend them! We could not be happier with Emerald Anchor Photography! Arika and Tim are so nice, helpful, and the pictures are absolutely beautiful. We will be proud to show these off forever. Before the wedding, they took a lot of time to get to know us. We had a long google hangout between us and the couple just to get acquainted and discuss the game plan. Arika was so communicative throughout the process and made us feel so at ease. Arika sent us several timelines to work off of based on previous weddings they had shot, and our wedding coordinator said that the outline we gave her based on this recommendation was the most detailed she’d ever started with. Although we didn’t have an engagement session (totally because of us, not Emerald Anchor), Arika and Tim drove in early all the way from OH to GA in order to have time to take a few shots before our rehearsal. We immediately felt at ease with the team. They are so easy-going and give directions that are easy to follow. We had never taken professional pictures before, but their directions made it so easy. They stayed for our ENTIRE wedding, and it was so nice not to worry about getting the exit in before the photographers left. We never felt rushed, and both Arika and Tim really make sure that the photos are looking good quickly before moving on so that everyone is happy with the end product. They were so great throughout the entire process, and worked well with huge family photos, couple shots, and even five little flower girls (seriously, Arika got six kids under 8 to look in one picture, which is a miracle in itself)! So many family members and friends have continued to tell me how friendly and helpful our photographers were for weeks after the wedding, and that was before seeing the photos! We got our “sneak peak” yesterday, which included EIGHTY amazing photos! The photos are perfectly edited and look amazing. We cannot wait to see the full gallery because we were so thrilled with the first taste. Arika and Tim are absolutely amazing, and I cannot recommend them enough for your wedding photography experience.

Emerald Anchor Photography in one word is incredible! We have used her for multiple occasions. Most recently I contacted her on very short notice for our wedding. We had an amazing opportunity come up for us to have a ceremony on a bridge in our small town. The only catch was we had 5 days to plan it! I contacted Arika asking if there was any possible way she could make the trip (over 600 miles) to be our photographer. She was so excited and bent over backwards to be there. Her interaction with our family and guests was natural and relaxing. She stayed calm during the chaos. We had Arika and Tim as the photographers for our wedding. They are such fun and great people. For photos they have great prompts to get you laughing so they can get the most genuine, most pure smiles that they can get. They were also really flexible in almost every aspect they could be. Words cannot begin to describe how wonderful Arika and Tim of Emerald Anchor Photography are, but I am going to try. I found Arika while looking at photographer pages on Instagram. The rich colors and the true joy and passion she captures in her subjects really stood out to me. It just so happened that she was having a wedding session giveaway and, much to my shock, we were selected. The incredible process of working with Emerald Anchor Photography began. I did have some concerns working with photographers from many states away (they are based in Ohio and we live in Florida), but my fears were completely unfounded. From the very first email, Arika and Tim were much more than just photographers. They took the time to set up video conferences throughout the process and were always very responsive to our emails and texts. Despite never having met in person, I felt that they took an honest, personal interest in us as a couple, and it felt more like working with friends than strangers. Our time spent getting to know each other through the video conferences, emails, and texts helped Arika and Tim tailor our photography experience to truly capture what it meant to be us on our special day. In addition to guiding us through the photography experience, they helped guide us through the entire wedding. I was doing the planning myself and was completely lost until Arika and Tim took the time to talk us through a typical wedding day. They even provided us with several sample timelines that we were able to pull from and modify to create our own. This was hugely helpful, and I owe the seamlessness of the day to them. They began their time in Florida with us doing a short test session, so we could get comfortable with each other and adjust to working together. We did this instead of an engagement shoot, although they were exceedingly accommodating and willing to travel to make that happen for us too. Unfortunately my crazy schedule did not allow it. The phrase “above and beyond” is no cliché for Arika and Tim! They were with us from getting ready at the start of our wedding day all the way through the very end of our night. I was worried that it might feel forced or strange having people constantly snapping pictures of us all day, but they integrated themselves into the process in a way that was very natural. When we received our pictures, which happened significantly faster than I expected, we were floored by the results! Each photo radiates joy and love. There is a stunning blend of exquisite portraits and vibrant, candid pictures that exude the emotions of the day. The colors are spectacular. I would recommend Arika and Tim of Emerald Anchor Photography to everyone, everywhere. Don’t let location discourage you from booking this incredible team. I can't rate Emerald Anchor highly enough. She/they have done our photos for years now and shot our wedding last year. Great people, stunningly beautiful photos well worth the cost. Where should I start! Arika is amazing at what she does and really knows how to capture a moment. I am 100% pleased with my engagement photos. She really took her time and was helpful throughout the shoot. Plus she went to extraordinary lengths to capture theses photos at the top of a mountain at my request! That’s dedication and hard work! One very unique quality that Arika brings to the table is her ability to make you feel comfortable and laugh. This makes for the best photos in a very natural way (at least that’s how I feel when looking at my engagement photos). If you are like me and don’t enjoy having your picture taken or feel awkward this quality is a must in a photographer. It was a very easy session! I’m not sure where to even begin with this review. Arika and Tim are an amazing couple who have been so fun to work with and even better to get to know. We wanted a specific personality to shoot our wedding; someone we knew would get along with our families and allow us to not feel so formal like your on stage the entire day. From the first time my husband and I met Arika we knew she would be perfect for our event. She was easy going, overly friendly, a dog lover, and obviously a very skilled photographer. I’ve known Arika for quite some time and knew I wanted her to do my wedding photos, even before I got engaged. I am so glad I had her do our photos! They are absolutely amazing! She was very flexible with us scheduling engagement shots and even let us do it in two parts when my husband injured his back. More importantly, on the day of our wedding she made me feel/look like a princess! She has a knack for eliciting natural looking photos. Also, her secondary photographer (her husband) is rediculously funny. He had us laughing quite a bit while taking our posed photos, creating a wonderful effect. I was worried about our photos not turning out great, since I consider myself VERY unphotogenic. My fears were totally unfounded. Arika does an amazing job. It all starts with the first time you contact her. She responded promptly and answered all of the questions we had. Once we booked with her, we set up our engagement session, which went wonderfully! She had a great location in mind and even provided us with a tip sheet about the best things to wear and not to wear to the session to make sure our pictures turned out amazing. She even met us at a separate location on a different day so we could include our dogs in some of our pictures. When we were preparing for the wedding, she sent us sample wedding day timelines and helped us figure out the timing for stuff. Day of, she was with us for the whole day, from getting ready in the morning to when we left the venue at the end of the night. She made us feel super comfortable the entire day and even helped us with some last minute things before the ceremony (I forgot to bring lotion to make sure the rings slid on easily during the ceremony!). She captured everything that we specifically asked for as well as so much more than we expected. We ended up with so many pictures from our wedding day that helped us look back and remember all of the special moments throughout the day. She even expedited processing for a picture that we were planning on using for our thank you cards so we could get them out as soon as possible. Arika was extremely easy to work with throughout the entire process and we would highly recommend her for anyone.

Arika did our wedding photos. She did a really great job. She was very helpful with ideas and very good with time management as it was quite a long day.
