About six weeks before the wedding, Hannah scheduled a call with us and literally walked me through EVERY detail of the day — from the moment I woke up that morning all the way through getting our guests onto the trolleys to leave The Mackey House at the end of the night. The call was about three hours long, but it was SO worth it. There were so many little things that my mom and I had never even thought about, and Hannah made sure we had a plan for all of them. I walked away from that call feeling like every possible question had been answered and every scenario had been thought through. From that point on, Hannah was always available when I needed her — and I had A LOT of questions 😂. I could text her whenever something came up and she was incredibly responsive, usually getting back to me within the hour. Even if she was busy and knew she wouldn’t be able to give me an answer until later that day or the next day, she would let me know so I was never left wondering. She also gave me recommendations whenever I needed them and made the entire final stretch of planning feel so much more manageable. We even ran into an issue with our band leading up to the wedding, and Hannah and Andy immediately stepped in, called the band themselves, and worked everything out for us. Having someone who was willing to advocate for us and handle those conversations took such a huge amount of stress off my plate. On our actual wedding day, I was genuinely SO calm and relaxed, and that was largely because of Hannah. I knew how prepared she was and completely trusted that she had everything handled. She thought of every single detail. She is incredibly kind and warm, but also knows exactly when she needs to be assertive and get things done — which is exactly what you want in a wedding coordinator! Throughout the entire day, Hannah was constantly focused on making sure I was happy, comfortable, and getting the wedding day I had envisioned. I never felt like I needed to check on anything or worry about what was happening behind the scenes. I could just be present and enjoy getting married. And when I finally saw the venue completely set up, I was blown away. Hannah and the team brought everything together PERFECTLY. was not planning on having a day-of coordinator. I thought I could handle everything myself with enough planning and help from family and my wedding party. I love hosting, planning parties, and creating experiences for people. Honestly, it has been a dream of mine for years. But at some point during planning, I had to stop and remind myself that this wasn’t a party I was throwing for someone else. This was MY wedding day. My husband and I deserved to actually experience it instead of running it. A friend recommended Emerald and Ivy, and after reaching out, Andie responded almost immediately and scheduled a video call with me. That call completely changed my perspective. Andie made me realize that trusting someone else with my wedding day was not giving up control, it was giving myself permission to fully enjoy the day we worked so hard to create. She is creative, passionate, organized, and so genuinely excited about what she does. We talked through ideas, design, vibes, flow, and vision for the day, and I swear she was just as excited as I was. She paired me with Hannah for month-of coordination and WOW. When I say Hannah was a lifesaver in countless moments, that is an understatement. As the wedding gets closer, the stress becomes VERY real. Even though I genuinely love planning and organizing, it was such a relief having someone who truly understands weddings to talk through concerns with, bounce ideas off of, and reassure me through the process. About a month before the wedding, we met at the venue for a walkthrough and went through everything. Decor placement, setup flow, timeline, rentals, vendors, logistics, transitions, details . . . all organized into the most beautifully detailed system that my Type A heart absolutely loved. But here was my biggest fear . . .I had SUCH a specific vision in my head, and I could not imagine anyone else being able to bring it to life exactly how I pictured it. Then wedding day came. Oh. My. God. Hannah is basically a fairy godmother. An angel sent from heaven. A miracle worker. She somehow reached directly into my brain, pulled out every little detail I imagined, and turned it into reality. Seeing everything fully set up for the first time honestly left me speechless. Every candle, every detail, every placement, every transition. It was perfect. I had heard so many horror stories about things going wrong on wedding days, and I just assumed something had to happen. Nothing did. The timeline flowed flawlessly. Setup was stunning. Vendors were coordinated perfectly. The day felt effortless from start to finish because Hannah and the Emerald and Ivy team were handling everything behind the scenes. And honestly? If anything DID go wrong, I never knew about it. That alone says everything. Because of them, my husband and I were fully present for the happiest day of our lives instead of worrying about logistics and problem-solving all day long.
