ibe we wanted, we didn’t have a clue about how to choose locations or poses. But shooting with Jonathan was a breeze. He gave us clear instructions, tons of positive encouragement, and made us feel relaxed and comfortable. Jonathan uses this same warm approach to put your guests at ease, and is great at capturing all your loved ones. Plus, he was knowledgeable about the area we were getting married Park Winters, and suggested some creative locations. Some of our favorite photos came from a spot he recommended. The photos came out incredibly. Jonathan did a mix of more “classic”, restrained poses and fun, creative shots. Plus, he shoots so efficiently — often a single take is good enough, and then you’re on to the next group or location. He has an incredible eye for lighting and interesting backdrops. We are beyond thrilled with how our photos came out, and Jonathan made the process easy and fun. Even if you don’t think you’re natural on camera, Jonathan will make you look and feel like a movie star!

bvious choice, we liked that they offered an all-in package and we loved the color in their pics. The engagement photos were great. The wedding photos came out amazing despite the challenge the weather threw at us all day. They blended in with our crazy group of nerds perfectly and we got so many comments about how hard they were working all day, including one from our priest. I would definitely refer them to any of our friends and family.

hat i had in mine. I prayed they would be available on my wedding date, and sure enough, they were! They made us feel extremely comfortable in front of the camera. We were absolutely BLOWN away by our pictures. We got SO many compliments on the photos. Super professional and were always very easy to contact. We got our photos back in a very quick manner and I would hands down recommend them!

how much they were able to work with us and our schedule (they were with us for about 12 hrs!) If you are questioning which package to get, we would recommend the "cinema + photo" package. Having both photographers and videographers through them gave us the best possible results since they coordinated very well with who's turn was it to take photos and where. This was a huge stress off our shoulders during the day of. Our wedding was very large, so it could have gotten out of hand quickly but Jonathan was always calm and adaptable to all scenarios, he would also use his experience to help us navigate unexpected scenarios and give ideas on different photo poses. Although we received them months ago, my husband and I just looked through all the raw videos taken of that day and if there's one thing we regret, it's not having them stay longer to capture even more memories. We absolutely loved the photos and videos, and recommend Emerald Cinema to anyone who is considering them for their wedding!

To be able to coordinate 2 separate film crews, one with me and one with my husband, then come together, plus coordinating with a million family members, traveling from my parents house, to the church, to downtown. When we got our trailer back, we sat on our couch watching it over and over crying tears of joy. If you want to be able to relive the best day of your life over and over, you need to book Emerald Cinema.

Originally, I thought photos of the evening would be enough, but I let a friend who had also used Emerald Cinema talk me into it, and I’m so thankful I did. I’ve honestly never seen wedding videos as interesting and well done as theirs. The editing! It’s all just incredibly wonderful, and we can’t thank them enough. They were also very easy to work with. We had to move our wedding date back a year due to COVID, and they were very accommodating without charging any extra fees. If The Knot allowed 10 ⭐️, Emerald Cinema would definitely deserve them all.

of communication, and made sure that you, as a stressed-out couple planning for the big day, would not be stressed out when it came to videography. I asked a lot of technical questions regarding his equipment, shooting style, and how his workflow on the day of. He was very passionate and transparent with his work, and I really appreciated that a lot from him. Communication: Jonathan has multiple ways to contact him. He was very prompt in all my questions and concerns. As the day nears (probably 1-2 months), there will be back-and-forth and expectations on what you should have prepared, so he can have a general understanding of your itinerary. Most of his bookkeeping is done digitally: such as digital contracts, e-mail reminders, forms, and payment portals. He organized a neat way to ensure you have things prepared for him and your big day. Videography: Jonathan is very talented and he'll make sure to capture your day in the best way possible. Depending on the packages you choose, you can have different shots such as: drone shots, Steadicam shots, up to 4 different angles, and good taste on choosing the type of B-roll shots for your edits. Given his long-time experience, he knows which shots to take for your edits. His editing process is very robust, and he will produce you quality edits. I think his color-grading will be dependent on the lighting of the area, but it's still satisfactory. I had some minor things I wanted fixed, and he made sure to address those issues. To be more clear, I'm quite a picky person when it comes to video since I edit videos myself. He did a great job and it was just as expected! Working with Photographers: One of the key things I asked Jonathan is his adaptability with other photographers. Given his profession, he's worked with countless photographers, and he himself would lead the photography if you choose his combo packages, so he knows the deal. He got along with my photographers really well, and they all had a great time. He communicated with them to ensure he doesn't get in certain photo shots (like during ceremony, reception, grand exit, etc.). Worth it?: Yes. I think he provided excellent services, with little stress. That's what made it ultimately worth it. I really enjoyed working with Jonathan and his team, and I'm so appreciative I can relive the experience of my wedding day forever on film, beautifully. My advice if you choose Emerald Cinema: Make sure you let Jonathan know what is most important to you. A videographer-specific itinerary would help lay out key things. If you have things you want fixed from his edits, lay it out specifically and when specifically, so that way he can get it to you as soon as possible.

idn’t want to do a first look but also wanted to make it to cocktail hour (I know….crazy…), but it didn’t phase Jonathan. ALSO, it rained ALL day and Jonathan came prepared with umbrellas and everything else to ensure, even if the rain didn’t stop, that we would get awesome pictures. I can’t stop looking at my pictures and would highly recommend Jonathan. Thank you, Jonathan!!!

Watching Jonathan set up scenes, and find the perfect lighting for each shot, was like watching live-action art direction before my very eyes!
