We took lessons with Jeff for the first dance at our wedding. He and his wife Lisa are a ton of fun to work with and are as entertaining as they are informative. Just like learning...
anything else that is completely new, it will be a bit rough in the beginning. However, if you trust in the process and stick with it, Jeff can give you the tools to put on a performance that will truly wow your guests just like we did. We plan on taking more lessons in the future despite the wedding being over simply because we enjoyed learning from him that much.
Emerald City Ballroom, led by the talented instructors Jeff and Lisa, provided an exceptional dance experience that exceeded all expectations. As someone who was initially nervous ...
about our first dance, I decided to take Ballroom dancing classes to boost my confidence, and I'm so glad I did.
Jeff and Lisa were not only amazing instructors but also made the classes fun and enjoyable. Despite my initial apprehension, my partner and I genuinely looked forward to each session and found ourselves practicing at home with enthusiasm.
With the anticipation and stress of performing in front of an audience, I highly recommend taking 10 or more lessons to allow the muscle memory to truly kick in. We took two lessons per week for about six weeks which was a good amount.
Our wedding guests were blown away by our dance performance, with numerous comments likening it to "watching Dancing with the Stars." This is a testament to Jeff and Lisa's skill and dedication to their craft. If they can do it with us, I promise they can do it with you too.
I cannot recommend Emerald City Ballroom and instructors Jeff and Lisa highly enough. Whether you're a novice or experienced dancer, they will help you shine on the dance floor and create unforgettable memories. Thank you, Jeff and Lisa, for making our first dance truly magical!

scious and had no previous dance experience but she made him feel totally comfortable. We took 5 lessons total to learn the Rumba plus some additional moves to use for our first dance to "In My Life" by the Beatles. Would highly recommend Emerald City Ballroom for any soon-to-be newlyweds who don't want to just stand and sway for their first dance. We hope to come back for more lessons again after things settle down a bit! :)

ith us to come up with moves we were comfortable with. We talked about the tempo of the music and how big our dance floor would be. I even practiced in her fluffy skirt so we could get used to dancing with the wedding dress. We would highly recommend!
