SO much fun. People are still talking about the band at our wedding 4 months later. Most importantly, our dance floor was PACKED the entire night. 10/10 Recommend!!

I had lots of questions throughout the process and he answered every one with patience, plus shared tons of thoughtful ideas that helped shape the day. The music itself was perfect. We didn’t get to hear much of the prelude or cocktail hour sets, but the reception band was one of my favorite parts of the entire wedding. The MC kept everything flowing smoothly and the energy high, and the musicians had our guests on their feet from the first song. I stayed on the dance floor all night. I couldn’t recommend Emerald Empire Band more. They brought our vision to life and made the night unforgettable.

The cocktail hour trio was great and then the full band for reception was fantastic. They were so much fun and sounded great with every single song. My first dance song was also a bit of a niche find but they played it extremely well. My husband and I were extremely pleased with this band, I would recommend them for sure!

Numerous people told me all night how great the band was!   I even had people tell me they want to have an event just so they can hire the band!😂.  Every song was performed and played as good or even better than the original song by the original artist!  Ceremony music was beautiful and cocktail hour was lovely with the 3 piece trio playing.  It was such a fun, perfect night and the band was a huge part of that!!! Therefore, they are able to build the band based on the couple’s vision: pop, jazz, dancing, easy listening, etc. They are also able to seamlessly incorporate a specific recorded track for a father/daughter dance and move back into live music. Their pricing is very transparent which is a rarity in wedding sites these days. They have an online portal that aids in planning by guiding you through each step and allowing for very specific musical input. Emerald Empire has producers that are responsible for connecting with clients and then assembling the band. I had never hired a band before and Rob worked closely with me over several calls and emails to help me feel confidant that the band could carry the event. This is very important because they are the musical professionals and you want to be able to trust them and release them to do what is best in a situation, rather than micromanaging. My guests are still talking about the band! They played outstanding jazz music during the cocktail hour which facilitated the festivity and conversation rather than overpowering it. They emceed the events like cake cutting and special dances. Then after those dances, the dance floor just erupted! I think all night people were waiting to dance to the band! Because of the musical selections, all the generations were on the floor. Staff from our Nashville music venue as well as musician guests specifically told us how talented they thought the band was. I highly recommend Emerald Empire from start to finish. It was an amazing celebration!

Booking, scheduling and communicating with the band manager, David, was so easy and he was always organized and so on top of everything. We changed our first dance song about a week before the wedding and told them it’s okay if they didn’t know it we could play the music track. When they started performing our first dance song, I almost died. They are amazing. Best decision we made for our wedding day- would hire again with zero hesitation!

h they do not vet. For my wedding they contracted a diva with a horrific attitude. I specifically asked for a male singer, was told yes of course - but who cares what was requested and approved ?? Definitely not emerald empire. The singer showed up late, simply did not play our entrance song, incorrectly announced a very special dance between myself and my grandfather and then again incorrectly announced a very special dance between myself and my SINGLE mother. And when I (THE BRIDE) had to correct her, WHILE DANCING IN FRONT OF ALL OF MY GUESTS, she felt the need to say “I guess we’re playing the song again?! Idk no one tells me anything”. Again, this was a special dance between myself and my single mother - ruined. Then, when it was time for food, the band called ONE out of FOUR tables to eat. The band proceeded to HOP IN LINE AND EAT BEFORE THE REST OF MY GUESTS ???? And then NEVER call the rest of the 4 tables ??!!! HOW did that happen ??! My 2 big “no plays” for this band was no Bruno Mars & no country. Who cares?? Not Emerald Empire. The MC played pop music - to include Bruno Marc while they helped themselves to the buffet BEFORE THE GUESTS. I had to go up and ask them to turn it off, and they had to scramble to find the MC. I asked if they read the notes and they really didn’t respond. Then they played country music - my other “do not play”. I had to cut them off and then ask again if they read the notes. They said no. One would think they would stop and read the notes ? Nope! They continued to disregard everything. This wasn’t just the singer - this was the entire team. I requested a song for the champagne tower and cake cutting & you guessed, it wasn’t playing. I stood there (like an idiot) giving them the benefit of the doubt they would start playing it. They didn’t. One of my GUESTS had to ask them to play the music - to which the band yelled back “we’re getting it” (they weren’t). We also requested a dance for all of the couples to a certain song. I’m sure this doesn’t come as a shock - they didn’t play it. When starting a song (that randomly was appropriate to the event) the singer spoke INTO the mic “I hope I don’t get in trouble for this one” and shot me (THE BRIDE ??) a look. We have never in our lives been so mortified. This wasn’t a corporate holiday party - this was OUR WEDDING. When we messaged Emerald Empire, they mentioned this was becoming a pattern with this certain singer. What do you mean? Why was this contractor hired again if this has happened before? We were then discredited by asking us why we would tip them if we didn’t like the performance. Every bride would know - thank you notes and tips are pre-written and typically handed to the day of coordinator, who then hands it to the vendors. When would we have time to hand write thank you notes the night of our wedding? Obviously we would have not tipped after experiencing this DISASTER. Was then insulted further when asked if we would want a piano player to come to our home? What? As that would fix it? This was our WEDDING! Emerald Empire wanted us to think this singer’s attitude does not represent them - that is not true. They have done nothing but dodge accountability and have only further insulted us after ruining our event.

None of my questions went unanswered, and I went into the wedding day with zero hesitations about our music because I was confident that Emmanuel had handled it all- and he did! Second, the band blew everyone away. As soon as they started their first set, most of our guests were on the dance floor. We booked a five piece band and each musician was exceptionally talented. I still have guests telling me how awesome our reception was because of them. If I ever plan or host another event that needs live music, I will most definitely be booking them again!
