lded. The atmosphere of the ceremony, dinner and dancing was superb. The food, drinks and h'orderves were amazing and the staff was professional, polite and on top of everything. I have to mention Becky West, the wedding coordinator at The Emerald, was the most accommodating, responsive and helpful in all this. She seemed to take away a lot of the stress and made the experience enjoyable. She did not disappoint. If you are looking for something unique that your guests will be talking about, consider The Emerald Theatre. You won't regret it.

The food is also amazing, and our guests mentioned it was some of the best they’ve had at a wedding!!! There are so many amazing places to take photos around the building, as well as outside. the day of. Becky was wonderful, always extremely responsive to emails and very accommodating with anything we wanted to do. Josh was great to work with on beverages, and Kenny was fantastic to work with doing our music and lighting. The food catered from D’Amato’s was also amazing, from the time of our tasting through the night of, they were so helpful with selecting the best options and giving suggestions for things to try. All of friends and family couldn’t stop talking about how much they loved the food. The venue itself was also so cool and unique to get married in. Everything went so well! We loved our wedding here and would absolutely recommend it as a great place to get married.

with so many moving parts and Becky was a true angel! She had helped us set up the whole schedule and thought of things we didn't and her main focus is to work with you to make your vision come true! We also met with John the owner and he is absolutely fantastic and goes above and beyond to make your day perfect! We used Kenny the sound producer who also worked with out DJ. We had a tasting set up at D'Amato's and the food was absolutely amazing!! Months later our friends and family are still talking about what a great dinner it was. We looked at probably 7 other vendors and The Emerald Theatre was hands down the most beautiful and Becky was absolutely amazing! he staff was even more helpful than expected. Things I would assume the wedding party would have to handle/organize were already done for us on the day! The staff here made having our wedding stress free. All night our guests pointed out how cool this venue was and how they haven't been to a cooler wedding in their lives. It was easy to have our ceremony and reception in one place and the venue did whatever they could to accommodate what we needed. Catering was easy and the food was BEYOND AMAZING, all of our guests raved about it and asked where the restaurant was to get more in the future. Having a concert sound system meant it was easy to figure out the live band we had AND a DJ who turned the place into a party afterwards. I can't rave more about how perfect Emerald made our wedding, and how I wouldn't choose any other venue if we had to do it all over again. Thank you all again for making our day perfect! - is amazing. People usually applaud my organizational skills, but Becky put me to shame. Every question I had, she had an answer and then some. She was not shy in offering ideas to help make our vision come to life and make the wedding a resounding success. She coordinated with other theatre staff in addition to providing me their contacts to interact with them directly myself. From bar staff, lighting, security, and more - every single person I worked with was extraordinarily helpful and an absolute delight. I have celiac disease, and so the wedding food was a big concern as everything needed to be gluten free for me to be able to eat safely. The preferred caterer, D'Amato's, went above and beyond to provide safe food for tasting and for my special day. Normally people complain about gluten-free food, but we had nothing but raving reviews from guests. Guests were also in awe of the venue itself, and many made remarks about convincing their loved ones to look into the Emerald for their own weddings. The venue is stunning, and they even change the marquee to a custom message as an added touch! We were able to use the Rock Room for cocktail hour, and the entire vibe was just perfect. The Emerald Theatre is not your typical venue, but only in the best ways. I would not have changed a single thing. BIG BIG thank you to everyone who worked my wedding - the entire day was perfect!

The food from D’Amato’s was absolutely amazing. Our guests are still raving over it. I highly recommend having your events at the emerald theatre! They renovated the emerald a couple years and it is absolutely beautiful! We are so happy we chose the emerald for our wedding.

al by any means with it being a gay wedding. We didn’t want a church, we wanted something with flair that could highlight our interests and personality. This venue did just that. From the custom lighting, creating signs for our signature cocktails, the ambience was to die for. Everything went off without a hitch and we had no major issues throughout our rehearsal or big day. In fact, the staff went above and beyond with helping with decorations, setting up the guest table gifts and even lighting the candles on the tables. My husband and I ended up feeling like royalty and it was the most perfect day. Becky west was the most amazing coordinator and was so helpful. The bar staff and catering staff was also to die for and went above and beyond. We went with their Resturaunt for catering, D’Amato’s. It is in royal oak, and the food was so impressive. All of our guests said so! Truthfully the best bruschetta we have ever tasted. The tasting to choose the food was also great and they are very thorough with helping make sure you have the choices you want. If you don’t want a church, and want to highlight your unique personality, my husband and I recommend the emerald theater. Our day was so special. Our most favorite part of we had to pick would be our name and date on the marquee outside the main doors!

My only critique would be to inform the venue of your total guest count at 12 months, 9 months, 6 months, 3 months, and then the last 30 days before the event. We had a small snag that could have cost my husband and me a lot of money with the open bar package. We got excited and added more people without considering the additional cost. It would have been nice if the venue had reminded us along the way, like, "Hey, just a reminder, the more people, the more you will have to pay." It was our first wedding, so we didn't consider that...But it's never wrong to overly communicate with your customers. Overall, we LOVED the professionalism, service, and, of course, the beauty of this venue. Good luck, and thanks again, Emerald!

iccups along the way, but overall I would pick them again. Below are the pros and cons of our experience with Emerald Theater, but the pros far and away outweigh the cons 10 to 1. Pros: - Inside the venue is breathtakingly beautiful. Much of the original 100-year-old details are incorporated into the design. - The drinks, food, day-of coordinator, tables, chairs, linens, late-night pizza, and much more are included in the per-person price, with upgrades available. The price was super reasonable for everything included. - We liked having access to the staff before and on the wedding day. Everyone was super kind and responsive to every message and call. - Lots of space for guests. We had around 140 guests + vendors, and it was plenty without feeling empty or cramped. We also had plenty of space for the bridal party to get ready. There were also plenty of places around the venue for amazing pictures. - They customized the marquee with our names. - The food from D'Amato's Restaurant in Royal Oak was out of this world. Seriously, the food was on point. The buffet style food worried me at first, but it was very quickly accomplished with 140+ guests and vendors fed. - No lines at the open bar! I don't know how they accomplished this with 3 signature drinks and the amount of guests we had. - The upstairs Rock Room sold me (a punk rock guy) on the venue. Cocktail hour was a hit up there. - They let us set up the venue the day before, saving a lot of time, stress, and hassle on the wedding day. Cons: - We worked with four different wedding coordinators throughout the process. We had to explain everything to each. However, we were engaged for 2 years during COVID, so this could be an industry / pandemic problem. - Prices differed between the provided documents and what the owner told me. We were slightly overcharged, but they let us invite more people at no cost to remedy the situation. - Towards the end of the night, the security must have taken a break, and a random person wandered around the venue, finally talking to my new bride and me on the dance floor. Several guests and security personnel quietly escorted the person out of the venue without incident. I think it will be a decent story, but they may want to figure that out in the future. - No elevator in the venue for those with a disability. - Across the venue, a green tarp covers a giant window on the adjacent building. They don't own the building and can't do much about it, but it's unsightly for guests unfamiliar with the area. Again, we loved the venue and I would 100% go back again. The security issue is the only reason we are giving 4 stars instead of 5. We plan on returning to D'Amato's every year for our anniversary (same owners).

management and staff helped us share our love for the venue and music with all our family and friends. They allowed Jarred to take the stage and play a concert for old-times-sake. The sound systems and the lights made the event extremely unique. The bar service and specialty couples cocktails were perfect. We went with their preferred caterer D'Amato's Restaurant and the food and INCREDIBLE! It tasted exactly like it did during our tasting and came out hot. The day of coordinator was amazing and keep the day going smoothly. Overall everything was perfect and we couldn't have imagined a better wedding and it was all thanks to the Emerald staff. Truly, thank you all! We did have some minor issues during the planning process but the management resolved things extremely professionally and quickly. I want to give a specific thanks to Eryn West for helping us out and being extremely professional throughout the process.

She stayed in touch every step of the way and did her best to make sure everything was flawless on our big day. I'm so glad we went with the Emerald, the venue is gorgeous, and the sound system and lights gave it such a "wow factor". Lights and sound are ran by Kenny which just like the rest of the staff, is exceptional. You can tell he really loves his job and we're thankful for him and all the time he spent with us to make the theater into our vision. Hands down, I would do it all over again at the Emerald. I can't imagine a wedding at any other place. Thanks to the team there, you were all so fantastic.

I will never forget the shivers down my spine when the venue coordinator showed my wife (then fiance) how her grand entrance will be made through the foyer doors. When it came to finances, the pricing for their top tier package (including all of the things we wanted) was significantly cheaper than any other venue we visited later. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we had to postpone our wedding date twice. The whole time, the venue was right there with us supporting our decisions and assisting us along the way (the owner John even met with us to discuss what he could do to help). As it was a crazy time, we ended up having 3 different coordinators throughout the time from initial visit to the actual event day, but we could not appreciate their contributions more. Cecilia, Jessie, and Shanna were so accommodating, with Shanna taking on the final leg helping with the actual wedding. Our day came out better than we could have imagined and we could not have done it without their help and support. Overall - we highly recommend anyone looking for a unique and intimate wedding venue to check out the Emerald Theater!

Most importantly, the food at the wedding was just as good as when we went for our tasting. Considering all the personnel changes and complications surrounding COVID-19 throughout the duration of our engagement, the wedding turned out to be as beautiful as we were hoping. We are very appreciative of the flexibility shown when changing our wedding date, asking for specific accommodations, or getting creative with the experience. All in all, we are very pleased with our Emerald Wedding.

We used Ten Seven Photography as our team of husband and wife photographers and they utilized the space so well in their photographs! They were a breath of fresh air to work with and we absolutely adore our photos!! They are also local to this venue and made relationships with the team at the Emerald for ease of future events!
