More than just a venue, Emerson House offers a private weekend retreat where you can gather your closest family and friends in one meaningful place.
Set on 30 secluded acres, the property features rolling prairie, wooded acreage, a gently flowing stream, and thoughtfully maintained grounds — creating a romantic backdrop for every part of your celebration. The estate includes seven bedrooms, additional lounge space, seven full bathrooms, and three half baths, with overnight accommodations for up to 16 guests. Wedding guest capacity outdoors is 120, with on-site parking available and additonal restrooms on property.
Just over an hour from Chicago and only 15 minutes from the shores of Lake Michigan and Indiana Dunes National Park, Emerson House offers the charm of a countryside destination with convenient access for guests.
Your wedding weekend includes exclusive access to the house and grounds from Friday through Sunday {3 days, 2 nights} allowing you to truly settle in with flexible check-in and out at $12,500. For additional nights, inquire!

lenty of room for everyone. The historic home, allowed 15 of us to stay in the house, as we prepared for the weeding. The commercial kitchen provided plenty of space for our caterer to do their job.
There are lots of extras, and the staff is always on standby to answer questions and provide guidance.

ture perfect house! Then wedding day, the house already had everything we needed, tables, chairs, and 2 beautiful trees to get married under. Our caterers used the professional kitchen which they loved and I got ready in the spa area in the basement With my sisters. We had time to enjoy the day and even went to the beach because it was an easy less than 15 min drive away. The owners and house manager were so helpful and made sure we had everything we needed to make our wedding weekend perfect!
