nted to befriend, she was the photographer. We watched her and noticed that her charming nature and quickness to laugh allowed her to float amongst the party fluently. After seeing the photos from that wedding, we realized that her intimacy with the wedding party and guests translated clearly to her photos. It was as if the ease at which she moved throughout the party allowed her to permeate to a different level of the wedding - people didn't freeze up as they might in front of other cameras - in fact, it was the opposite. While we weren't surprised when the photos from that wedding were gorgeous, we found ourselves wondering how she made it look so effortless. Artistic, intimate, dynamic, romantic photos were produced.. all without disrupting natural and organic moments. When my boyfriend and I were engaged a few years later, we both knew exactly whose camera we wanted to be behind. When it was our turn to experience Emily first hand, we were delighted that our expectations were exceeded. I feel shy behind a camera, so Emily's banter and genuine joy made it easy to forget we were being photographed. We simply enjoyed being in her company, which allowed my fiance and I to let loose and have a good time. Emily took the time to get to know us long before our wedding date, so when the day came around we had no worries. Emily had every detail worked out - from knowing who we are and what moments we valued, to what minute we wanted family photos done and who would be in each one. She was totally in tune with us added much in the way of joy to our day. I want to make very clear that Emily's ease does not detract from her ability to command a group when trying to get a particular shot. She has a wonderful confidence. (So yes, your loud, drunk aunt will listen to Emily when it comes time to take family photos.) She's incredibly organized and provided a wonderful sense of assurance before, during, and after the wedding. And though I hope what I've written above would not be interpreted this way I will also spell out - Emily's ease among other guests is not attention seeking or deterring from the wedding or event. She is just somehow perfectly in sync with the wedding, yet completely and totally focused on her craft at the same time. I realize I've said barely anything about the photos themselves.. but I mean.. just LOOK at them! They speak for themselves. Long story not short - Emily is the total package. She is an artist who absolutely thrives in all aspects of her craft. Hire her. She is the best investment we made for our wedding, and she will be our family photographer (and hopefully friend) for life!

n point. The way she captures light is something of a wonder. Emily was one of my top 3 vendors. I remember messaging her on Instagram right after I got engaged, before I had a venue, a date, or much more than a fiance. She wrote back and said she was pretty available for 2020, and would recommend getting the other vendors in line and then contacting her again. Then COVID happened, and she went from being Emily the wedding photographer, to being a friend, a mentor, a confidant, and our life photographer! My husband I ended up postponing our original date of 3/28/2020, and eloped during the summer of 2020, where Emily disappeared into some foilage and returned with a picture that framed us as if we had gotten married in a secret garden. She is also all set to photograph our marriage celebration in 2021! Can't wait!

We heard of her through our wedding planner (Tiffany of Simply Breathe Events), and we are so grateful to have found her. Emily's photography style fit our vision perfectly -- when we saw her website, we knew right away that she was who we wanted to capture our wedding day. We crossed our fingers in hopes she was available -- we quickly planned our wedding in three months, and we felt so lucky that she had the date open. She's incredibly responsive, friendly, and detailed in her communications. We also had a great time chatting with her on the phone throughout the process. On the day of, we had a ton of fun capturing shots and just generally hanging out -- it cannot be overstated that Emily's presence really lifted the day, and our photos show genuine happiness and lots of laughter because she made us feel like ourselves. To top it all off, we received our photos so quickly after the wedding! Every photo was so well composed, and many were so playful in capturing details and faces. She captured us not only looking our best, but as our true selves. I can go on and on -- we can't be more effusive about Emily. Thank you for everything, Em!!
