About this vendor

Emily Kirsten Photography is a boutique wedding photographer serving Southeast Pennsylvania, New Jersey and beyond. Hey! I'm Emily, owner and sole photographer, and huge supporter of my couples! I cater to the couple who values their love for each other, wanting to preserve the memories you share together as well as the ones they can look back on in their imagery. My goal is for you to feel like a top-priority, because you are! When you book me, you aren't just hiring a photographer — you are hiring someone who is there to help your day go as smoothly as possible. Let me handle the logistics of the day. Your only job needs to be marrying your best friend, and getting down on the dance floor! Let me take care of the rest. I want your photographs to feel real and capture your true smile, and the way the love of your life slowly pulls you in for a kiss. That assumption that you're going to feel awkward will diminish quickly as I guide you both in creating natural images that capture your true emotions. I cater to small intimate weddings as well as full weddings. My packages include a complimentary engagement session, an online gallery where you can view, download, share and print your images, a second photographer, and heirloom albums. After your wedding, we'll get together, view your images, pop some champagne, and walk you through ordering your album, canvass, and prints!

If you’re reading this, chances are you’re searching for a wedding photographer. Let me save you some time—Emily was one of the best decisions we made. Here’s why. Emily captured ...

both our wedding and engagement photos, and from our very first call (about a year before the wedding), she put us at ease. She was professional yet approachable, making the conversation feel natural rather than scripted. No canned questions, no checkbox responses—just an authentic, thoughtful discussion about what we wanted. We spoke with other photographers, but Emily stood out. When we described our vision—our venue, the moments we wanted captured—she didn’t just nod along. She provided examples that aligned with our style, showing that she truly understood our vision while offering her own artistic perspective. I was initially drawn to her work because of her ability to balance light, natural tones with candid but beautifully composed moments. But beyond her talent, she was incredibly thorough—helping us with timeline planning, coordinating with vendors, and thinking through every detail. During our engagement session, I mentioned being on the fence about hiring a videographer. Emily didn’t try to upsell or push other vendors on us. Instead, she simply listened, asked insightful questions, and made thoughtful recommendations that ended up being spot-on. It was clear she wasn’t just there to take photos—she genuinely cared about bringing our vision to life. As the wedding approached, she continued to impress. A few days before, she sent us a contingency plan in case of rain, complete with example photos of couples she had shot in less-than-perfect weather. She anticipated our concerns before we even voiced them. And when the inevitable wedding-day drizzle arrived? Emily showed up with a hilarious umbrella hat, fully prepared to do whatever it took to get the shot. Throughout the day, she struck the perfect balance—giving clear direction when needed but always with warmth and enthusiasm. More than once, guests came up to me and whispered, Damn, she’s good! Then, just two days after the wedding, she surprised us with preview photos—and they were pure magic. If you’re looking for someone who is not only ridiculously talented but also organized, thoughtful, and an absolute joy to be around, hire Emily. You won’t regret it.

Emily was one of the best decisions we ever made for our wedding. From the initial zoom/phone call I knew she and I would get along. I originally found her in instagram and I loved...

her airy, elegant, and classic feel; I wanted to look back on these pictures and know they will age well no matter if it's 10 yrs or 50yrs in the future. and I'm so glad I did! She's easy going and fun and easy to talk to and answered all my questions. I felt so confident about hiring her. I am glad we did our engagement photos with her because my husband and I are not super natural in front of the camera and she helped us relax so much. She made the whole experience so fun! She was a rockstar the day of the wedding. She knew how to corral everyone together, how to get everyone to focus and get great shots but still feel natural and fun. She had everything timed so well and in the end, we received the pictures of our dreams! Can't thank Emily enough for making our wedding day so special.

If you want to wake up on your wedding morning feeling carefree and excited to see your wedding photographer, run don't walk to book Emily. She's the ultimate hype girl & will leav...

e you wanting her to be in your life forever. I found her via Instagram (she had shot at our venue before) and she ensured our day went so smoothly that we ended the night saying we wouldn't have changed a thing. Emily is extremely kind, caring & professional. She offers engagement sessions with her packages and within the first few minutes she had eased our nerves & helped us feel comfortable in front of the camera. During that session, Emily was constantly showing us how the photos were turning out to hype us up and even posted our sneak peeks to her profile that night. Emily was extremely detailed & thorough when it came to the planning process. She put together an entire day of schedule which served as the game plan for all of our other vendors. One of my biggest concerns in wedding planning was how to figure out the timing of the day, and she completely took on that role & helped me figure it out. With her help, I felt hiring a separate day of coordinator was not needed (which also saved us from having to hire yet another vendor in the long list & expenses of wedding planning). When it came to our wedding day, Emily kept us on time and worked to coordinate with our other vendors. Again, she made me feel like a model & was constantly hyping me up with how great the photos were turning out. Emily was constantly checking in to see if we needed a break, made sure we got the shots we wanted and at one point, even broke into her own snack stash to give me some candy when I was losing steam. She pulled us aside before the reception to share some sneak peeks & displayed the photos on an iPad near the bar so our guests could enjoy them as well. Saying goodbye to her at the end of the night felt like saying goodbye to a friend. Multiple family & bridal party members raved about her as well, already expressing interest in booking her for their own sessions. Emily was extremely communicative throughout planning and always laid out clear expectations for us. Once she delivers our full gallery, she offers appointments to order prints & design albums together. We can't wait to see her again & create an album that showcases the beautiful memories of our wedding day.

It was so important to me to have wedding photos that we could cherish for our lifetime, and Emily provided that and so much more! From the very start she was friendly, responsive,...

organized, and reliable…and all of that was matched by her incredible photography skills and an exceptional ability to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera. In advance of the wedding day, she provided a thorough wedding timeline, which was BEYOND helpful for coordinating all people and vendors. She listened to our wants, likes, and dislikes, and even managed to control the routy members of our bridal party. But most importantly, she captured every perfect (and perfectly imperfect) moment from our best day ever. So many of our guests and friends told us we had the best photographer—we couldn’t agree more! We recommend her to everyone!

ding day, she was so professional and responsive the entire time. I literally cried in front of her the first day I met her in person for our engagement photoshoot because it started raining and down pouring 10 minutes into it and we had to reschedule lol. Emily was SO sweet and kind. She had to drive so far for our engagement shoot and she was so flexible in rescheduling it. Leading up to the wedding, she always responded to my emails if I had any questions, she was organized, and she paid great attention to detail to make sure you would get all the important shots that you wanted for your wedding. Emily has a bubbly personality and it feels like you've known her your whole life. I couldn't be happier the beautiful quality of photos we received from our engagement shoot and our wedding- they were all perfection! She is truly skilled at what she does and I will recommend her to anyone.

he wedding planning process was smooth & Emily handled everything. She is a rockstar when it comes to planning everything because the wedding day timeline she created for us was flawless. Our day couldn’t have gone any better and she made sure everything we wanted was captured on camera. Our bridal party was so comfortable with Emily and her assistant Jeannie. This created the best photos where we were captured just being our true selves. Our friends cannot say enough about Emily and her team & how fun they were. Our wedding photos are more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer for our big day & a new friend we can cherish forever with the beautiful memories we have created together. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We love you!

r for years, and you can tell she is so genuine and intentional. We were not the most comfortable or experienced in front of the camera going into our engagement session, but Emily eased all of our worries right from the beginning. Having our engagement session with Emily made us feel so much more confident on our wedding day. We received SO many compliments from our families, bridal party, and other guests at our wedding on how professional and fun she was. From the beginning, Emily made the whole process so easy and seamless. She is professional, enthusiastic, and so incredibly helpful. Emily exceeded our expectations, and I still get chills looking back at our pictures. We will never be able to thank her enough for capturing our wedding day so beautifully.

Emily is an amazing photographer that I am so happy we booked for our October wedding! From our first meeting to the day of our wedding, Emily was so accommodating and informative ...

listener. She was READY (and super excited) to bring our vision to life! Although our original engagement shoot in Washington DC had to be cancelled due to covid, Emily made sure we had the most beautiful shoot and photos later that year. She certainly made it worth the wait! The best part is that she STILL came to DC to give us a mini shoot! So amazing! Leading up to the wedding, Emily provided a super helpful timeline and made sure to include everything that we visualized for our special day. On the day of the wedding, Emily was attentive to our wishes, and always made sure we approved of any changes being made. Our photos are absolutely stunning! She captured our love, our guests, the details, reactions, EVERYTHING! We have SO MANY photos. We were nervous about having to go through so many photos to make selections for our album, but Emily also made the album ordering process SUPER easy for us! Everyone needs someone like Emily. Photos are the most important part of your wedding, and Emily makes sure you have nothing to worry about. You won't regret choosing her! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Emily!

If you are looking for absolutely stunning, professional photos with that light and airy feel, do not look any further! Emily was an absolute dream to work with. Her talent is out ...

of this world, and you will end up with Pinterest worthy photos. She does so much of the work for you, taking all of the thinking work out of it. For example, she made us a timeline for our wedding day, gave us tons of guides on how to get the best out of our photos and experience, basically hand created us a beautiful wedding album, and also she’s so uplifting and just good vibes to be around. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a professional photographer.

un, kind, and the epitome of professional. At every turn she anticipated what I would need and how best to make the day of the wedding easier. She established an entire timeline for our day to make sure everything ran smoothly, and gave me advice and questions to ask my other vendors that never occurred to me. She also has checklists and details suggestions so that you can make your already gorgeous photographs better. In addition she was always available for questions throughout the entire planning process regardless of if you had a set up meeting time. On the day of the wedding if she was stressed about anything you couldn't tell. She ensures that her bride's needs are met, whether that is ensuring they have time to eat, a break from photos, or just a moment to breathe throughout the day. She was a lifesaver! Emily was also super flexible when we needed to change up the timeline so my husband could take a much needed rest on the day of the wedding. And even with the last minute timeline changes we still got to our cocktail hour on time. She really wore many hats other than photographer ( including taking on the responsibility of transporting our wedding rings to the church) and I couldn't be more grateful. By the end of the whole process it was like a close friend was our photographer, and I had nothing to worry about the entire day but having fun and not tripping down the aisle! Bottom line, every bride should have a photographer like Emily so their day goes as perfectly as ours did!

ed her personality and her work spoke for itself. The two of us have never had professional pictures done before, so we were a little nervous and didn’t know what to expect. During our engagement session she made us feel so comfortable in front of her camera, and we had so much fun! Not to mention, the images were stunning! We could not wait for our wedding to work with her again and to see those pictures! Throughout our wedding the entire wedding party and our family and friends could not stop raving about her. She was so fun to work with and everyone had the absolute best time! She was the best hype woman, made sure everyone was where they needed to be so everything ran smoothly, and captured our day so beautifully. She truly has a gift and is so talented. Her style was exactly what we were looking for, the images are light and airy, natural, and we never felt like we were too posed. There’s a lot of things you worry about surrounding you wedding day, but how our pictures were going to turn out was never a thought in my mind. She was constantly checking in to make sure we had what we needed, giving us tips, and was so quick to respond to any question I may have had. She is everything you could hope for in a wedding photographer. The day after our wedding we received some sneak peaks, and shortly after we received the entire album! During the process of picking pictures for our printed album, she was so helpful and patient. There were a million images that we loved and it was hard to narrow it down (she’s that good)! We would highly recommend her to everyone. We were looking for a photographer, and we found a friend who was there for us every step of the way. We could not be more thankful for Emily and the incredible memories from the best day that she has given us to look back on. We cannot wait to work with her again in the future, she truly is the best of the best!
