Emily strives to depict your milestone celebration and the memorable moments of your special day in stunning detail. Passionate about all things romance, Emily is dedicated to capturing the highlights of your wedding day and the essence of your love. Emily uses natural light and loves bright joyful images that tell a story.
Emily's camera has been attached to her hip since she was a teenager. She eventually decided to turn her love for photography into a career by studying at The Art Institute of Philadelphia. After gaining the professional experience to set her apart from other photographers, she started her own business. Since then, she's photographed countless weddings for many happy couples.
Emily Kuhar Photography takes a personal approach to your wedding photography. Emily will get to know you and your love story well so that you can feel comfortable with her behind the camera. Emily and her team can provide aerial photography, film photography, videography and multiple shooters based on your requirements. Our style is both candid and editorial, with tons of fun shots of people laughing and having a great time, gorgeous romantics portraits, epic golden hour sunsets, and artistic details. Most of all we love capturing all the happiness and excitement of your day as it happens.

Emily and her team were fantastic to
work with. Leading up to the day, I was coming from out of town and had so many questions! She was very prompt and knowledgeable and really
put me at ease. My favorite part about her work is she captures the shots you didn’t even know you needed! She was able to photograph the moments I cherished the most without direction. Also, I constantly heard stories about delay in photo delivery, Emily delivered previews only a few days later and our final album in less then two weeks! Emily and her team of professionals were amazing to work with and I highly recommend!!

Emily is AMAZING! We found Emily via the Knot for our April 2024 wedding. She is extremely knowledgeable and a great resource for establishing your shot list while planning. On the wedding day, Emily was punctual and passionate about getting the shot without being overly posed. She has so much to offer and we cannot recommend her more! Emily did such a great job. She did our engagement photos and our wedding photos, and we couldn't be happier. She delivered our photos ahead of schedule, and we're so glad we opted for a video too, because we absolutely love watching the highlight video she made. She captured so many wonderful candids, which was exactly what we were looking for. If you're on a tighter budget, look no further because Emily had extremely competitive prices with no sacrifice in value.

Emily was so great to work with! From the time she arrived, she started working right away to start capturing amazing photos. We got some amazing golden hour/sunset photos. Her vision for great photos is awesome. She also provided all of our photos (over 500) 2 days after the wedding. I always heard of people waiting several weeks or more to receive their photos back but she was SO quick! I definitely recommend Emily for weddings and beyond!

I'm very happy that we chose Emily as our wedding photographer. We got back so many great pictures and she captured some unexpected sentimental moments that I loved looking back on. She made someone like me who is awkward and used to being on the other side of the camera feel pretty comfortable. It was very helpful having her guide me through the posing. Emily has a lively and unique vision for capturing love stories. We felt comfortable with her as our photographer from our first interaction. We spoke on the phone and by that time I had interviewed several photographers and I could tell we matched in vibe right away. She's calm, knowledgeable, flexible, and fun.
We ended up wanting an engagement photo shoot in Santa Barbara and it was so fun since we were able to bounce ideas off of each other. Emily thought of and suggested the perfect timing for lighting, and she had great ideas for picturesque locations.
On our wedding day, Emily was able to help handle the photography expertly. With a great mix of action shots and posed shots, we felt she captured the best day ever with exactly the flare we wanted. Her editing is superb as well.
She even offered videography services and brought a videographer who we also felt comfortable with. Emily also did the video editing which was phenomenal. She took incredible artsy shots that we were so impressed with. My husband is a big movie buff and he said he loved the style of our wedding video - more artistic documentary than a dry movie.
We loved all the services we got from Emily. She is a pleasure to work with, and I would recommend her to anyone in the Santa Barbara and southern California region for weddings or other special events.

Working with Emily was a joy. She knows her craft well, capturing so many wonderful images from every part of our special day in an imaginative well composed narrative. She readily adapted to some last minutes changes and really knew how to get the best out of everyone in each shot. Emily is the complete photography professional. Emily brings a keen eye to your wedding preparations and really knows how to scout a venue. In our case we took wedding pictures in a vintage Lincoln Continental and they look terrific. Emily is timely, willing to fully discuss wedding plans and come up with a winning proposal. During our day and in wedding meetings, Emily was punctual and professional. Emily's passion for excellence and professionalism will help you remember your special day as she did ours!
We have actually used Emily and her team for two different engagment shoots around the area as well as our wedding! One in downtown LA, one on the beach in Malibu and our wedding was in a garden.
We love the fact that she was able to capture "us" through photo and video in such dynamic, different locations.
We orginally went with Emily and her team beacuse of her book of work, her work really stood out to us by capturing people's smiles, natural emotions, playing off of natural light and is not overly posed .
We have and will continue to use her throughout our lives' events as she made us feel so comfortable and confident everytime we have worked with her.
I hired Emily 2 weeks before my wedding after my original photographer canceled last minute! I was completely freaking out but in the end, It was like it was meant to be for us to find Emily!! Emily did a fantastic job photographing my wedding!! She was so professional, outgoing, patient, and fit right in with my crazy group of friends and family.. we love love loved her and her beautiful work! Emily did such an amazing job on our wedding photos. She is so warm, welcoming and able to help us get the shot. She worked well with our videographer, guests and bridal party. Ask Emily about hER golf cart ride at the Miller wedding.... it is quite a story!!

Hi !! My name is Emily and I’m originally from Philadelphia PA. I’ve been doing photography since I was 14. I always knew photography was my passion, my camera is attached to my hip at all times. I love traveling, hiking, camping, basically anything amongst nature is my happy place. I value connecting with my clients and showing their true, authentic selves in my photography.
