There are no words to adequately describe just how amazing Emily is. She took control of my rowdy family in the most professional way and that alone is a monumental task! She provided clear instruction and made myself and my husband and everyone else look incredible, every picture was stunning!! She truly captured how much fun we have together and I am so thankful I hired her. I cannot recommend her enough!!

Everyone told my husband and I not to skimp out on photography. That it would be one of the most important aspects of our wedding. That it would hold the memories of the day decades later when our minds start to slip. I’m glad we listened! Jake and I knew that we wanted a great photographer who could capture the beautiful and touching moments of the day like none other, have a good time, not be a pain to work with, and give us beautiful photos! Emily delivered beyond expectations on all of these! She was super easy to work with, helpful before, during, and after the wedding, and even acted as a day of coordinator at times to help keep things going smoothly. She is super organized, talented, and experienced. She always makes you feel like her only client and was always quick to get back with me if I had questions, ideas, or concerns. The Fabulous Miss Emily is AMAZING! Photography was one of the most important things to me to capture our special day. From the first time I talked to Emily, I felt at ease. I loved the way that she captures amazing formals but also professional pictures of real moments. She is FUN! You don't feel like you are getting over 1,000 pictures taken of you and your friends and family. Some of the pictures from our reception were so amazing and fun and really captured some great moments. She responded as soon as we reached out to her, met us for drinks the night before, was very professional and fun on our big day, and best of all, captured some amazing, priceless pictures. Emily is so amazing! There is no better photographer to work with. Emily recently took my engagement and wedding photos. She is so fun to work with. Emily made taking pictures super easy. She has an eye for everything. If you need someone to tell you where to stand and how to pose, she is your girl. She has is all figured out. Her goofy, laid back personality makes it so easy to work with her and you can totally be yourself. She was very patient with our wedding party and great at giving direction. She also got our pictures back to us so stinking fast!! Her organization skills and timeliness gave us a great experience! Every moment working with Emily was delightful – from initial inquiries to the final gallery! I’m actually sad the wedding is over, as I enjoyed our email correspondence. Probably one of the most important marks of a great wedding photographer is the ability cater to the couple’s desires and the creativity to facilitate beautiful shots when the couple is totally clueless on what they want. Both the groom and I are typically very unexpressive people, but thanks to Emily’s great eye and guidance, we actually look in love in our wedding photos! I was concerned throughout the day that we were behind on the schedule, but Emily was always collected and reassuring that everything was fine and handled a few unplanned photo requests from family and friends like a pro. Emily is simply the best of the best! I knew she was the one from the very first meeting. Neither my now husband, nor I, love to take pictures and so it was very important to find someone who knew how to work us and the camera and get great pictures. She explained her strategy and I knew she was going to be the perfect photographer for us. She spent around 2 hours with us for our engagement photos and had all photos edited and put into a gallery for us TWO DAYS LATER!!! When it came time for our wedding, Emily was early and very professional. She finished the photos of my dress and accessories while I was doing hair and makeup, as well as the photos of the reception area. Then we drove around KC for photos before the ceremony and let's just say I am glad it was Emily we chose. My groom and his groomsmen had quite a bit of alcohol and Emily handled them like a champ! Emily (and Jim, as we hired a 2nd photographer through her) captured literally everything throughout the whole day and night. She even hopped in the Photo Booth with me at one point. If you want a photographer who is more than a photographer, but also a friend (and let's be honest, who doesn't want that?!) then Emily is definitely your gal! After the wedding, she had all the photos edited and put into a gallery just TWO WEEKS later. It was well over 1000 photos!!! I cannot thank Emily enough for all her handwork! I highly recommend her to everyone and will definitely keep her in mind for future photos!

To begin this review I will start with some unsolicited advice. You and your wife/groom to be will spend the most time with your photographer on your wedding day. That’s right, not your maid of honor or best man or parents or your aunt betty, but yes your photographer. Don’t waste your time reading any more reviews- take a pause from reading this and email Emily right now to see if she is available for your wedding. She is the best and the only reason you shouldn’t hire her is because she is unavailable. Read on for more details. We checked out a bunch of wedding photographers. I would group most of the ones that we talked to into two categories: the creative flakey person who takes beautiful arty pictures and is fun but is unorganized and will probably show up late and is maybe not the best portrait photographer or the very serious professional who is a bore that takes nice pictures that are just fine but don’t feel very inspired or personal. Then we talked to Emily, and she blew my mind from the minute I met her and stood out from all the rest. She very clearly loves her job, is a great at it and her passion made a very positive impact on our wedding day. She has everything a top tier photographer should have and then some. She is extremely talented and has a ton of experience. She is organized and on top of it without being a pain in the rear. She is extremely creative and has so many great ideas but also took truly beautiful formal pictures. She managed to take stunning portraits in the middle of winter when natural light was scarce. She makes you feel like you are her only client. She answered every text right away and showed up early and was on top of it the whole day. Not only that but she had all 1000 of our wedding pictures edited and in an easy to access gallery online just TWO WEEKS AFTER our wedding!! She was extremely thorough and got beautiful pictures of EVERYTHING!! Didn’t miss a thing. I know there are a lot of talented people with great experience who show up on time and take pictures but Emily's personality and attitude truly make her stand out. She is incredibly positive, hilarious and hardworking and I am so glad that she was a guest at our wedding. I am a perfectionist and I can usually always find some little detail to critique but with Emily I couldn’t think of a single thing for her to do differently. HIRE HER NOW!!!

Emily was the perfect wedding photographer. She was professional, creative, patient, and a joy to be around. My groom and I usually feel awkward taking pictures, but Emily made sure we felt comfortable and was great at giving us some much needed direction for posing. Could not have been happier about our decision to book Emily. She also was really quick about getting our photos to us after the event.

Emily was Super friendly, and is very good at what she does. When we got our photos back, my heart melted. Super flexible and super awesome!

A little background: I wanted to meet my photographer in person before I booked them. To me photos are one of the, if not the most, important thing of a wedding (besides getting married!). I wanted to be able to trust my photographer. They spend a lot time with me during the day! Emily agreed to meet with me and we met at a cute coffee shop. I kid you not that Emily is the most wonderful, funny, and kind person you will ever meet. We talked for about 5 hours. I got there at 2pm and left around 7pm. She is so easy to talk too! During the wedding she was a blessing. Her and Jim Bob (her second photographer) were hilarious together. They helped my anxiety so much! Emily kept things going so smoothly and during the ceremony I barely even noticed them taking photos! After the wedding the photos came in super quickly and are utterly amazing. I am so glad I picked Emily Lynn Photography. You should too! She will not only be your photographer, but also your friend. She is awesome!

Emily was absolutely fantastic! Very easy to work with, very responsive, and tons of fun! There were quite a few adults and kids to wrangle for our pictures and she made it a blast for all!

Emily was WONDERFUL! Emily had a personal situation come up the day of the wedding. She immediately called me and let me know everything that was going on, and then in the end STILL showed up early! She has such a great personality, she clicked with everyone in the bridal party. There were several times in the day that we needed to fly through some shots to get back on track, and she did a great job of making sure we still got everything on the shot list. She did a great job with some huge pictures (I have a freakishly large family) and we have an extended family picture for the first time in several years. She got some amazing candid shots of the bridal party and the guests. Her input was really helpful in planning out our timeline, and she really helped the day run smoothly overall!

Emily shot both our engagement and wedding pictures. She not only has a natural eye for pose, but she knows how to make you let go and have fun while in front of a camera. We had so much fun taking pictures with Emily! The pictures we got in return were BEAUTIFUL and better than we imagined. Emily knows how to use lighting and her subject's natural beauty to her advantage. My wife and I highly recommend her if you're looking for a funny, energetic person with a natural talent!

Our wedding isn’t until May of 2019, but we’ve already had such a fantastic time working with Emily. Her photos from our engagement session were absolutely amazing. She was fun to work with and captured the “real us”. I can not recommend her enough. Love Love Love.

Emily Lynn was one of the best parts of my wedding day! She was fun, helpful, sweet and so organized! Upon first meeting her I immediately felt comfortable and like she was someone I’d known forever. My husband and I could not have asked for a better experience with Emily. I believe I forgot to get around to this review with the busyness of life, but I would be remiss to not write a review of Emily. First, photos were a huge priority for my husband and I. We knew we wanted amazing photographs of our big day and we spent a lot of time looking for the right fit. We could not have gotten luckier than we did with Emily. We quickly hit it off with Emily and her quirky personality. She felt like a real human!! I needed that on a day that can be so overwhelming. After the wedding, we received our photos pretty quickly and were happy to see so many beautiful photos. In addition, Emily gifted us with a stunning metal print of one of our favorite pictures. Emily worked with us to get all the photos we dreamed of, even with a strange day-of schedule. She truly made the day so much less stressful than it could have been. I had no worries that our photos would be stunning! I would not hesitate to recommend Emily to anyone who wants their photography to lessen the stress of a wedding rather than increase it!!

Emily is one of a kind. Her energy made the entire day a breeze and her smile was contagious. She directed a rather large wedding party effectively, and (maybe most importantly) on schedule! Emily was hands-down one of the best decisions I felt my husband and I made for our vendors for our wedding day. Aside from her outstanding professionalism, she was an absolute blast to spend time with. She was fantastic at directing large groups of people and clearly had an eye for capturing all the details too. Emily took our engagement photos as well as our wedding photos and I was IN LOVE with every single shot. I hate being in front of the camera and hate being the center of attention, but she made me extremely comfortable and put my mind at ease the entire time. Emily's infectious laugh, positive energy, and depth of spirit draw you in immediately. Emily took our engagement/wedding photos and she is AMAZING. She made the photo shoots fun and stress free. She can read people very well- she even knew when I needed to take a drink of water without me saying a word. She organized a large group of people effieciently and effortlessly. Words cannot express how awesome Emily is. She has an amazing attitude and made us feel totally at ease. On one of the most important days of our lives, Emily made this such a memorable day. Her vision of how the photos would be set up, was nothing short of amazing. She is so creative and makes the day fun for everyone involved. Our wedding planner even commented on how professional she was. She also did our family engagement photos and incorporated all of girls wonderfully. Not only did we enjoy working with her, but so did our girls. She works well with children and has the ability to make each photo the best, which makes it hard to pick your favorite because they all become that. Emily was wonderful to work with! She was super friendly and at ease with meeting new people. She made it clear to us that we should let her know if we wanted any specific photos. While I got dressed she took some amazing shots of my dress, shoes and jewelry. The groom and I have had little experience with professional pictures and photographers but she made the day fun and stress free. After she finished our pictures in record time, I had trouble with my computer and she was super supportive to make sure I was able to view and use our photos.

Although she isn't going to be available to shoot my wedding because she would be out of town, she was amazing help! I have never been apart of planning a wedding or in a wedding, so I have ZERO knowledge. Emily was so kind as to point me in the right direction and help me figure out other photographers to help. There's nothing more stressful than not knowing what you're doing., kudos to her for helping a struggling bride to be!

I was a bride that thought she never cared about pictures. But Emily was the perfect amount of EVERYTHING. She made me feel comfortable and pushed my (now) husband and me to step a little outside of our box. I am so so so happy that she did! I will love these photos for the rest of my life. I am so glad we had Emily photograph our engagement and wedding! I have gotten SO MANY compliments from our guests and relatives about how absolutely beautiful the pictures are. Emily and an assistant were there all day and were able to capture every moment of our day- from both of us getting ready, our first look, family pictures, ceremony, our reception set-up, and all activities at the party. They even provided our guests a 'family photo' where guests could get their own families photographed as a memory of the day (its not often that all family members are together and dressed up!). She has such an eye for quality , and it shows in her dedication to providing a large number of pictures (posed and candid) that capture the atmosphere and love of the day. We will definitely go back to her for our future photography needs!
