WE LOVE EMILY!!! Seriously, she's actually amazing! She is incredibly organized, hardworking, patient, efficient, comforting, and obviously talented as a photographer. We got marri...
ed during a snowstorm in January, and she gave us the most magical pictures!!! We got everything we wanted, from soft, romantic pictures, to more dramatic shots too. We absolutely cannot recommend her enough!!!
I think hiring Emily was the single best decision I made throughout the wedding planning process. From our very first phone call, she made me feel comfortable and comforted -- she ...
even walked me through a timeline for my specific venue. At every step she provided guidance and support and made us both feel so comfortable despite not being used to being photographed. On our wedding day she fit in so well multiple people thought she was one of our friends! The photos are beautiful and we will treasure them forever -- from pics of young kids who she miraculously got to stand still to our portraits as a couple. I cannot recommend her more highly -- hire her!
Emily was amazing and we would choose her again 100x over! She got to know us as a couple, understood what we were looking for from our photos and even made connections with our cl...
ose family to make everyone feel comfortable and taken care of - by the time wedding weekend came around she felt like family! The most difficult part of the whole experience was narrowing down our favorites for an album we love them all!!!
My husband and I got married on 9.9.23, and we LOVED working with Emily!! When I tell you we interviewed a lot of photographers, I mean we talked to probably at least a dozen diffe...
rent photographers trying to find a good fit. There are a lot of talented photogs in the Akron/Cleveland area, and we probably wouldn’t have made the wrong choice with any of them, but when we talked to Emily, we immediately loved her matter-of-fact confidence and calmness! For someone like me, an artist who has a ton of ideas and a LOT of excitement around her wedding, and for my husband who is a veeerrry go with the flow kinda guy, Emily was the perfect choice! She was direct, honest, caring, and kept us on track throughout the whole process, but especially on wedding day itself! Our families are huge, and our guest list was almost 300 people. We wanted to do large extended family photos for all 4 sides of our families, and she made the process smooth and painless. She kept the day moving, made sure we got the important shots that would be meaningful for us, and helped us make gametime decisions when we were running a tad behind our schedule. Overall, I felt confident that we were going to have a lot of amazing pictures! After the wedding, we only got 5 shots as sneak peeks, which was definitely less than I anticipated, but we got them literally the next day, so that was awesome! Then she sent a highlight gallery a little less than 2 months later with about 100 photos. That was really fun because we were able to use some wedding pics for our holiday card!! Then we got our full gallery, and let me tell you, we are STILL blown away! We got over 2000 photos back which she says is more than usual because I am an artist and hand painted a lot of the decor for the wedding, and she was SO thorough in capturing those details!! I have loved getting to share these photos with family and friends, and we are so beyond pleased that we get to have these pictures for the rest of our lives! We definitely hope to be able to hire Emily again for other big milestones throughout our lives:)
Emily is hands down the best photographer in Cleveland. She’s so easy and fun to work with, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time with her. Our photos are absolute perfectio...
n and are so special to us. I’m so thankful that we were able to work with her!
We had the absolute BEST experience with Emily!! She was beyond helpful from the first time we spoke (giving us great suggestions for timeline, photo locations, bridal party, etc),...
and truly carried our wedding day. I definitely underestimated the need for a true wedding planner, and Emily stepped up and essentially became our planner for the day. She kept everything and everyone on track, which resulted in zero stress for me and the most organized wedding day I could have imagined. The photos themselves are SO stunning and we could not be happier with them! Her attention to detail and talent is unmatched. We also loved the opportunity to go into the studio to view the photos with her- such a special touch that I wasn’t expecting. I would (and will) highly recommend Emily to anyone!!
If I could leave Emily 100000 stars I would! From the moment I reached out to Emily, she became a friend and a part of our family. Emily has the most detailed eye, kind soul, and t...
ruly cares for her clients. I cannot tell you enough how comfortable she made us feel during photos and how capable she is when managing a group of people for photos (not everyone’s fav activity but Emily makes it easy). Working with Emily was the gift of a lifetime and trust me, we will never do photos with anyone else!
Emily is truly the best photographer that you could ask for on your wedding day. She is organized, knowledgeable, and of course amazing at getting the perfect shot from every angle...
. I am so glad I had her on my wedding day - she took charge of organizing family and friends for photos, moving people along through locations, and finding settings that lead to the best photos. I cannot recommend her enough for your wedding!
Emily and her team were absolutely incredible! I don’t have enough wonderful things to say about her. She not only planned, shot and edited our engagement session, making it an exc...
iting experience to kick off our engagement. But she then helped with my day-of timeline, working with my coordinator and me to make sure we captured all of the important moments. She and her team got beautiful detail shots and she helped keep us on time with first looks and travel offsite (which can get pretty hectic!) Emily went so far above and beyond her duties to get us our dream shots and I will forever be grateful to her! She expertly took control during the family portraits and somehow managed to get beautiful shots of large groups of family members and uncooperative children within the allotted time.
Finally, our images are stunning and I continue to look back through the massive catalog and relive our special day. She’s done a brilliant job with editing and printing of our urgently needed prints and I can’t wait to work with her to build our albums and enlarged prints. She captured our day for a lifetime and was the best investment we could have made for our wedding day.
She’s a dream of a human that brings her kind heart, experience and professional skillset to any event! 10/10 would recommend!
Where do I begin. Emily was the conductor that kept the train on the tracks for our wedding day. She is so down to earth yet professional. She made my husband and I feel so comfort...
able. In addition, to all of that she did an AMAZING job capturing our day. She did not miss a shot and our photos really tell the story of the day. Our guests mentioned moments we did not get to see, and sure enough she was able to capture them for us to look back on. We have gotten so many compliments on our photos, they are truly stunning. I can not recommend her more. BEST CLEVELAND PHOTOGRAPHER!

I could not have imagined a better outcome. I still look at our wedding photos daily- they are all STUNNING! We are grateful to Emily for capturing such beautiful moments that we will cherish forever.
Emily is an AMAZING photographer! Leading up to the wedding, Emily called me to help talk through my timeline and shot list to make sure that my husband and I got all the pictures ...
we wanted and even had some location recommendations for photos. We had a very open communication and she was very easy to get in contact with in regards to any questions I had. Day of the wedding, Emily was basically our wedding coordinator and had no problem taking charge of the bridal party when need be. Several of my bridal party mentioned she was one of the best photographers they've experienced. She's efficient and has such a great eye for the perfect shot. We got sneak peeks back the day after our wedding and the pictures are GORGEOUS - I cannot wait to see the rest of our wedding pictures. You will absolutely not regret hiring Emily as your wedding photographer!!

r big day run so smoothly!
Both Emily and her second-shooter helped keep us on-time and helped move the day along seamlessly. The wedding day wouldn't have been as perfect without them!
Multiple family members also commented on how Emily's attention to detail didn't go unnoticed and made everyone feel so comfortable.
Emily spent time meeting with us and getting to know us leading up to the wedding, via calls, texts, email, and our engagement shoots! We're not the most comfortable in front of a camera all the time, and Emily helped guide us so we were never really 'posing' but moving and having fun for the most natural-looking photos!
I would recommend her again and again to anyone looking for a wedding photographer. She really went above and beyond for us in many, many ways!

s she does everything to make you relaxed and enjoy the entire day! The memories she captures in her photos are ones we will cherish forever! She is personable, professional, and HIGHLY recommended! r expectations. It was so enjoyable to have Emily (& her second shooter) by our side day-of; they kept us on time and looking good, while ensuring we had a great time. Our family and friends were very complimentary of their interactions with Emily & team. Emily is an amazing artist and the final collection of images she provided was absolutely outstanding – an incredible combination of candid real-time moments, detail shots, and crafted poses that seamlessly blend together. Thanks to Emily we are able to relive the most important day of our lives and share beautiful keepsakes with our family and friends. We are so grateful and highly recommend working with Emily Millay Photography.
I’m not even sure where to begin! From the very first consultation call, I knew Emily Millay was the perfect choice to photograph our wedding. Her kindness, sense of humor, down to...
earth personality and knowledge of the industry were immediately evident to me. Our engagement shoot came with our package and this was the perfect way to get to know her and capture some truly stunning photos that we ended up using for our save the dates. My now husband was so nervous before our engagement shoot because he has rarely been in front of the camera. We were given the perfect amount of direction while it still feeling like genuine, intimate moments between the two of us. By the time our wedding came along, it felt like Emily was a close friend. She worked closely with my planner and I to create a seamless photo timeline for the day. I had numerous tricky family situations to navigate that required a lot of sensitivity. She knocked it out of the park. Several times throughout the day, I felt like I could just exchange glances with her and she already knew what I was thinking and/or needed. Whether that was a switch up on positioning, a break, a sip of water, veil or dress adjustment, a different angle, etc. She (as well as her 2 assistant shooters) made everyone, including myself and my husband, feel so comfortable. And you would not have known at the end of the night that she had been with us for 16 hours!!! She continued to radiate positivity and good vibes nonstop the entire day and night.
When we got back our photos, we were completely blown away. They looked like photos out of the wedding magazines I had been flipping through the last year and a half. Each photo told a unique story and portrayed that particular moment in time on our wedding day beautifully.
All of our family and friends continue to rave about our photographer 6 months later. We are so grateful and cannot wait to use Emily Millay’s talent for all of our future milestones to come!!
Emily was absolutely fantastic for our wedding. Not only were her pictures stunning, natural, and beautiful, but she was great at taking charge during the wedding day. Whether it...
was directing traffic for family photos, making sure we got outdoor shots during the reception, or anything in between, she was a HUGE asset to make the day go smoothly. We’re so happy with our photos!
We can't say enough good things about Emily and working with her! Emily was very communicative throughout the planning process, and was super patient and understanding when we had ...
to cancel and reschedule our wedding due to COVID. We were so grateful to still get to work with her on our new date. Since we were planning from out of state, we didn’t get a chance to meet Emily until our wedding weekend. She made a point of coming to meet us the night before so she could make use feel extra comfortable and take some tester shots. On the day of the wedding, Emily was incredibly organized and helped keep our chaotic crew on task. Family members and the wedding party all commented on how efficient, organized, and awesome working with Emily was. And this is nothing to say of the amazing pictures! While the pictures took a little longer to get back, they were well worth the wait. We loooove our photos – they feel magazine worthy! - and are so thrilled we got to work with Emily. I would recommend her to anyone in need of professional photos, and we hope to work with her for any of our future photos.
Emily is hands done the best photographer in town! She went above and beyond giving input on the wedding details and timeline. I felt like we had a wedding planner and photographer...
! The wedding day was a dream she suggested great picture locations and made everyone feel comfortable. You can tell she really loves what she does. Our pictures are absolutely beautiful! So happy we went with Emily!
COVID changed wedding date&plans brought us to Emily, and I'm so happy it did! I had seen some friends' photos that used Emily in the past and always thought they were beautiful -...
which OF COURSE I am still swooning over our photos. And let's face it, the photo results are a huge piece of it - but even more than just that, Emily became a friend throughout the process and on the day was able to give me such a peace of mind amidst stress and chaos. Here are a few ways that Emily was amazing, and that I think are KEY to a great photographer.
PHOTOS – Already said it, but worth saying again. Everyone who has seen them agrees they are magazine worthy! She also gave us such great variety of angles and backdrops in the shots. And god bless her second shooter (sister) who wondered to the balcony of our church and got some amazing aerial shots.
Keeping Control – She was able to keep family members moving and on track as well as hungry groomsmen who were over it. She constantly made sure to remind people to empty their pockets, straighten their ties, etc. – which those little things that make such a big difference in the photo result. Her persistence really benefitted us in the end!
Timing – Even though her contract is by the hour, she does not make you feel any stress of time on the day. She stayed extra for us until we both collectively felt like the best parts of the day were captured.
Electronic Delivery – The photo download process was so easy for us and our family. The link was also so great to send to aunts, uncles, etc. so they could scroll through and look for themselves.
Photo Reveal – Emily invited us to her studio to pop some bubbly and watch a reel of all our photos. Yes ALL. We sat for an hour+ reminiscing of the day as we saw the photos. It was such a sweet way to cap off years (literally) of wedding planning.
Highly would recommend Emily for all of your photo needs, especially your wedding!

pe up the big day!! The day of the wedding, they were truly rockstars - our whole family fell in love with them. The sun decided to act up to 90 degrees for an outdoor wedding and they remained dedicated and professional throughout the heat. They found the spots with the best lighting, coordinated family photos, and captured all the magical moments. Emily was kind, warm, extremely helpful and made everyone she spoke with (and took photos of) feel special and beautiful. I would highly recommend Emily Millay Photography!

I never realized how important that was until our wedding day. I can’t recommend Emily enough! Whenever I get the chance to make wedding recommendations, Emily is at the top of my list! spoke with Emily she made it a point to let me know that she wants to get to know me and my life and my personality in order to be able to capture who and what I am in all of my pictures. Since that first phone call she never fell short! My engagement pictures were exactly what I wanted and described me and my husband so well and she made what can be an awkward shoot of kisses into a truly fun and enjoyable day in the park with my husband! Emily is not only good at photography but she is a good friend! She genuinely cared about me and making sure my special day was exactly what I wanted. She gave me advice and tips for all things wedding related including the invitations and day of weather handling and so much more! When it comes to my wedding photos I can not possibly get enough of them. They capture every single little moment from the night, she takes several pictures of the guests as well. It makes me so happy seeing the happiness in all of my guests faces. She focuses a lot on family and friends which I love. As much as the decor and material things of the day are important and need photographed, she knows the most important and endeared photos are the ones of the people and the events. Overall there is nothing I would have changed or corrected in my experience with Emily as a photographer. Thank you, Emily!

Emily shot our engagement, rehearsal dinner, and wedding. We could not be happier with the images - she captured us so naturally and found the most beautiful ways to bring out our ...
emotions and incorporate the beauty of our hometown of Cleveland. We had rain on our wedding day but I wasn’t worried at all because Emily had a backup plan for indoor and outdoor photos - the photos became more charming because of the drizzle and she knew the exact spots indoors to get the best light. Whenever we show our wedding photos to people their first reaction is to say how talented our photographer is, and we completely agree. We love that our photos really look like us, with a natural, polished, and classic vibe. We are so happy we had Emily come to our rehearsal dinner because the moments she captured are so meaningful and perfect. When it is all said and done, your photos are what you have for the rest of your life to remember that day, and my family and I are absolutely so thankful for Emily because our photos will absolutely stand the test of time and will be as beautiful in fifty years as they are today

nning eye for capturing color, composition, and emotion. Emily has given me the most elegant, timeless, and inspired fine art wedding photographs. She uses her own life experiences for inspiration to create and capture moments. She knows what's in her grandmother's wedding album and she knows the secrets her photographer father taught her. She is an old soul. She knows the emotion in each moment, but what makes her a true artist is that she can capture it in a way that will live on through old lives and young lives. In a modern society, she knows what classic is. These days everyone has a camera and anyone can take a picture. It is clear from my wedding photos, that Emily took photos that will allow my children and grandchildren to feel the depth of each moment captured. Not only do my photos look like they belong in vogue, but I know they will always be in style. As talented as she is, Emily works from her heart, and that's the reason she produces effortlessly timeless photographs.
