Emma + Josh were absolutely a blast to work with! They were so professional, friendly, and especially patient; especially when it came to my photo-reluctant husband during our engagement shoot. They were able to engage him and make him more comfortable taking pictures. By the time our wedding day came around, my husband was so comfortable around them it made all the photos with him effortless. They are not only great photographer, but they’re great people too! I’d do it all over again just so I could work with them again. It was so much fun and we were always laughing! They are so great at what they do making the big day so much more fun having them there. I highly recommend them to any and everybody!!

Emma and Josh were awesome! They photographed both our engagement photos and our wedding and we couldn't be happier with the final products! They had cool ideas about how to pose us in multiple locations, on the grounds of the hotel, on the golf course, on the beach, on the docks, and in the cobble stone streets of Lido Marina Village. They were very accommodating when it came to location, we got married in Newport Beach which required them to travel a little bit, but they were happy to do it and we couldn't thank them enough for their great work. We've become great friends with Emma and Josh since the wedding.

Emma and Josh made our wedding day perfect! They made taking photos fun and easy. We got married in Santa Barbara and they drove all that way to do our photos. They were there before us even! Both are super easy-going and fun to hang out with. You instantly feel like you've been friends for years when you are with them. They truly made our day special and captured all the special moments. We used them for our engagement photo session as well and helped us not feel awkward in photos. My now husband hated getting his photo taken so this was a BIG deal. They made it fun to get our picture taken and rememberable. :) Emma and Josh are both very professional and listen to what you want in your photos and also make excellent suggestions when you have no idea what you want. I plan on using them for non-wedding photo sessions as well in the future.

Our wedding was in 2012. One thing that I will always remember and cherish from our wedding day is the wonderful time we had with Emma and Josh! Josh spent the morning with the guys and Emma was with me and my girls at the salon. They made us feel so comfortable to take pictures. The best part was we had fun too! Both our engagement and wedding pictures came out so beautiful. Our favorites are framed and will always be kept around the house. I HIGHLY recommend this dynamic duo! Not only do they take amazing photos but they are just fun to be around too!

Emma and Josh are simply the BEST! I decided early on that amazing wedding photos were the #1 priority for me and they delivered. I was thrilled with how they worked as a team (2 photographers are better than one!) They were punctual for both the wedding and our engagement session (and they brought us cupcakes!) They were relaxed and fun, helping me feel that way too. Our wedding went an hour longer than planned and they stayed with big smiles on their faces. I had sneak peaks to show off that night and all of my photos back within a couple of weeks. The images are gorgeous, lit perfectly, and they truly captured us and our big day. Since the wedding we have genuinely become friends. Great people and great photographers.

Emma & Josh were awesome. They were professional, on time, and so down to earth. I cannot recommend these two highly enough. Just tonight my husband and I were looking through our photos, and we always get a kick out what we see. If you want both beautiful and fun photos, go with these two goofballs. They are so much fun to work with, and keep you laughing even when you're tired as hell of smiling. OMG I LOVE working with Emma & Josh. Not only is there work amazing but I get a preview hours later. Being a vendor in the industry I hear complaints all the time where brides are waiting to see their photos months later. You don't have to worry about that with Emma & Josh. Emma and Josh were amazing. They came out on their own time to view a venue they'd never seen (The Oaks Country Club, formerly "TPC Valencia"). We (bride's parents along with the wedding couple) were able to easily communicate our thoughts and wishes to them while they had specific imagery in mind at the same time. Choosing Emma and Josh as my photographers for my wedding was the absolute best decision I made. They are fantastic to work with. To begin with, they helped us choose a fantastic location to shoot our engagement photos, which turned out beautifully. On the day of our wedding things didn't go as planned (imagine that) but Emma & Josh were on top of it. Not only did they adjust to the changes we had to make, but they went out of their way to help me calm down and de-stress. They are two if the nicest people I have ever met and they are super easy to work with. Not to mention their photos are amazing. My husband and I had a wedding/engagement photo session with Emma and Josh this past August and they were great! They were quick to get back with us on any questions we had about the photo session. On they day of the event they were very easy going and up for anything and were great at catching those real moment between us. And afterwards they were very quick about getting us our photos, they even did a little write up about how my husband I met, which was a pleasant surprise, that was quite heart warming. I was pretty nervous about hiring photographers for our wedding in August 2017 because a) it's one of the bigger line items on most wedding budgets c) the pictures are the best ways of preserving what ended up being the perfect day and mostly c) I really don't like my picture being taken. I'm no model and I usually don't like pictures of myself. I never know how to stand or what to do with my face so, I was looking for someone who would be willing to offer some guidance as we went along, and who would be willing to work with our budget. Luckily, Emma and Josh were so great at both AND were surprisingly efficient, as others have noted, with taking a ton of really amazing photos so, we had plenty of time to visit with our mostly out of town guests. My families and I definitely recommend.

We can not say enough great things about Emma and Josh! From our engagement shoot to our wedding they have been not only an absolute pleasure to work with but have captured truly stunning and beautiful pictures of my wife and I. They we're always easy to get a hold of and were very flexible trying to schedule our engagement shoot with my wife and I's challenging schedules. We were first really impressed when we did our engagement shoot. We wanted a beach shoot but the day we went was a bit windy and the waves were crashing near the shore. Emma and Josh kept the mood great the whole time and did whatever they needed to to get the perfect shot. Even after losing a shoe and Emma almost getting hit by a rogue wave it was one of my best memories of our engagement. When it came to our wedding they were absolutely perfect. They exceeded every expectation we could have had for our photographers. They fit right in with everyone in our bridal parties and it felt so natural having them there. They are experts at this but were always open to hearing any special shots we wanted and then made them 10x better. Even after an hour of taking pictures they kept it fun and exciting and it shows in the pictures. In sum, my wife and I were thrilled with Emma and Josh and give our absolute highest recommendation.

Amazing! Incredible! Efficient! Personable! We cannot say enough good things about Emma and Josh. When my husband and I were initially planning our wedding, we agreed that the photos were going to be one of the most important factors to our big day. It is how we were going to remember the emotions and moments that would no doubt fly by. From the initial meeting at Portos, I knew that we were going to get along (who doesn't like Portos?!). Emma and Josh were easy to talk to and made us feel at ease. They showed us a variety of work that was breathtaking. The lighting was gorgeous and the poses were candid and they were willing to work with our budget (big plus!). We hired them on the spot! Our wedding day, 10/23/16, couldn't have gone better! It was a rainy start to the day, and I can't say I was in the best mood (because of the weather. Stress!), but Emma and Josh kept the mood light and humorous, making me feel more relaxed. They were extremely efficient as we took photos before the Ceremony and we actually finished ahead of schedule! The most amazing part was the unreal turn around that they did delivering our wedding photos! And of course, the photos were perfection! It is truly amazing to have someone capture your special day in a way that makes you feel like you are reliving all of the emotions you felt marrying the person of your dreams. Emma and Josh make a perfect team and we cannot recommend them enough!!!

There's so much to worry about on your wedding day but with Emma and Josh, photography will not be one of them. From romantic bride and groom photos to fun bridal parties shots to the little details (that you spent crafting on for hours), Emma and Josh did not miss a thing. Thanks to them I get to relive our perfect day over and over again!

Perfection. Complete and utter perfection is what Emma + Josh were able to deliver, not only for the beautiful photos that they took, but in how professional they were. Emma + Josh flawlessly dealt with crazy family members during the wedding, which I NEVER thought was possible! Their turnaround time for photos is unbelievable! Our complete album was back 2 weeks after the wedding, even while they were still shooting other weddings! You really cannot go wrong with choosing Emma + Josh as your photographers.

We found Emma & Josh last year at a website called thumbtack. I was hunting for a wedding photographer who we could meet our expectations and would fit our budget. Multiple photographers ended up e-mailing and texting us. I was down to 3 wedding photographers, of course Emma & Josh's works were included. I love their work for I fell in love right away when I saw their posts on their website. I felt real emotions as I look at their pictures. So to consider my husband's input, I showed different photographies of the 3 photographers that I picked. And I had him choose which one he liked the most without showing the name of the photographer. And indeed, my husband chose Emma & Josh. Thank goodness! So we ended up communicating with them... giving them ideas on what we would want and at the same time what we could afford. Picture is a must for me for my 1 time wedding . So we ended up meeting with them. Both of them are very professional and it felt like I know them already for both of them are such down to earth and super super friendly. We got comfortable with them right away. The fact that Emma loves cupcakes (sprinkles) and Maroon 5, I was like, "oh my gosh we were meant". Lol! Right then and there, we signed up with them! Our experience with them during the engagement session was a blast. The fact that they had let us be who and how we are made a difference when we saw the photos. During the session, they told us to act naturally. They have some directions on how our hands and heads are supposed to be and that was it. The session became an ice breaker for us to get used to them and the camera. I still remember Emma and Josh laying on the ground, going around each other, above and below each other as if they were wrestling to get a great shot while they were doing the silhouette shots, and by the way, I so loved them! Then on our special day, from the first look to the whole ceremony and reception they were marvelous. They were both easy to work with and have a good sense of humor that helped take away some nervousness that we have. All we did was be ourselves and have fun and all they did was take those memories that we all now can look back and enjoy. And by the way, never forget to get their album & wooden box. Emma and Josh were the best photographers I have ever dealt with. In fact, they are one of the best vendors I have ever dealt with. Emma and Josh were one of many referrals received when we were planning our wedding. I knew I was going to hire them after the our initial phone call. They just get it. Talented, empathetic, know how to capture the moment and no ego. I consider them friends.

Emma and Josh are AMAZING! We were initially impressed by their professional website and how natural and unposed their portfolio is. After the first meeting we definitely clicked and knew that we wanted them to capture our wedding. It's obvious they genuinely care about each couple and capturing what makes us unique. Emma and Josh are also extremely quick to respond to emails which I really appreciated as I found this was lacking with other vendors. The most impressive part is Emma's UNREAL turnaround to touch up and post photos immediately after the engagement session and wedding - she posted a few sneak peeks the night of each shoot, posted a dozen or so more on their blog a few days after, and had the remaining hundreds of photos shared with us within a few short weeks! Even better is they provide a link to an online repository with all of the high res photos so it's extremely easy to share with family and friends. For our engagement shoot, Emma and Josh made us feel so relaxed as my husband and I aren't the most comfortable in front of the camera. They gave us just enough direction to capture real moments instead of posed shots. Emma and Josh are both incredibly talented and have an amazingly creative eye for using the scenery and lighting to take the most beautiful photos. They make the perfect team helping direct each other, and we love that they each took the same shot at different angles to provide different perspectives. Emma and Josh also captured out wedding day PERFECTLY! They took all of the photos we wanted, including the ceremony and reception details that we didn't get to fully enjoy the day of or even think to document (e.g. ceremony backdrop, table settings, cake, ring shots, etc.). We loved how unintrusive they were when photographing the ceremony, dinner, toasts, and dancing - they were able to capture beautiful, candid photos without obstructing our guests. We are so grateful for Emma and Josh and can't recommend them enough!

First off, let me just say… We love Emma and Josh! We found them through our wedding coordinator who really knew her stuff. Emma and Josh were super friendly and very knowledgeable about the process when we first met them at the local Starbucks. Their samples were amazing and we immediately knew that we wanted them as our wedding photographers. One of the best decisions we made for our wedding! My husband and I are big hikers so we knew we wanted to do some outdoorsy photos for our engagements. Emma and Josh are seriously up for anything! They hiked right along with us taking just amazing photos!! For our wedding day they went above and beyond the call of duty from carrying my shoes and train when we were walking around taking photos to providing mints! They also immediately posted sneak peeks and then got our photos out to us in less than one month!! And they were AMAZING!!!! I cannot praise these 2 enough! I would also like to mention that my husband and I paid for our wedding ourselves, so we were very much on a budget. The cost was extremely reasonable for the service provided and keep in mind that these photos are your memories for LIFE!!! Photography is one of the most important investments you can make on your wedding day. Emma and Josh are the investment you want to make! We had been impressed by their website and online albums, but when we met them they blew us away. The couple is professional, sincere, serious about capturing YOU and telling YOUR story. They do not just regurgitate the same shots. The way they utilize the lighting is beyond beautiful. Then, the most incredible thing is how quickly they're able to get your shots back. They uploaded four GORGEOUS pictures the same night as our wedding. This gave everyone unable to make it to the wedding an instant idea of the day. Seriously, AMAZING. Also, Emma and Josh provide an online album so you can download, share with friends/family, etc which is very accessible and easy to use. We did our engagement session with the couple and felt like they truly knew us and our story. This is very clear in the photos. I also HIGHLY recommend considering adding rehearsal dinner to your photography package. This was not something we had originally considered, but I'm so happy we decided to add it. The rehearsal dinner captures such an intimate and special moment of our wedding weekend. We're so grateful for Emma and Josh and I know you will be too!

Where do we begin? From start to finish, E&J wildly exceeded our hopes and expectations. We literally could not be more thrilled with Emma & Josh!!! From the minute we met them we knew they were the team for our wedding. They were very insightful and conscientious with upbeat attitudes and spirits. The real clincher was when they were just as big of Disney fans as we are! :) They did an impeccable job staying in communication with us and answering any questions we had. We have become great friends with them and hope it continues even now that the wedding is over. The e-session that came with our package was so much fun and really helped my husband get more comfortable with the camera. We loved the photos so much we used them for our guestbook! Emma and Josh were a class act all the way. From the first moment we met with them, we knew they'd be our photographers - they were easy to deal with and understood what we were looking for. This was the first time we hired professional photographers so we looked over countless photographers making sure we picked the right team and we're glad we did. We had our wedding photos on the backside of the Walt Disney concert hall and their creative vision made our photos pop. Who knew they could capture excellent photos in such a little space? When we first explored E&J's absolutely stunning website, we immediately fell in love with their photos, their style, & their reviews were impressive & comforting. Hiring photographers from California when we're from Connecticut but planning our wedding in Ithaca, New York was initially nerve racking for the both of us. It turns out this decision, my husband & I agree, was the best decision we made for our wedding! E&J were easy to talk to both in regards to their accessibility like their website, emails, phone calls, & text messages, but what I really mean is how comfortable it was to talk to them. E&J made it a point to get to know us as a couple, they got to know us as a family, & they got to know every detail of the event that you can imagine. Their attention to the details before the wedding made us more & more at ease as the wedding approached. In a way they became the local reliable, & familiar photographers that we initially wanted. With all the stress looking & searching locally, E&J were placed in our laps. Looking back we are most thankful that nothing else panned out nearby, it had to have happened for us for a reason. Destination weddings are something I've learned E&J love to do & are very good at. They happily agreed that instead of doing our engagement photos that were already done by a friend months earlier, that they would photograph our rather large rehearsal BBQ dinner. So, after their lengthy travel coast to coast, at which point I would have been exhausted, they showed up awake, alert, excited, & ready to get to work right away. Having had so much contact prior to the wedding, there wasn't a moment wasted talking or discussing anything at the rehearsal dinner or the wedding. On the bride's big day or in my case, big few days, the last thing you want to do is anything but enjoy yourself & your family. Having a prepared, experienced, & calm pair of photographers made things go SO much smoother. You don't realize how necessary & lucky it is to not only have 2 photographers, but 2 photographers that work as efficiently & friendly as these 2 do. E&J blended right in with everyone in the family, they are like chameleons. They already knew the players in the game.They are respectful when they need something done or someone to focus (which is extremely hard to do at an event like this), they moved things along quickly, without wasting time or photos on things they know won't be needed or looked at after. I can't begin to tell you with enough love & gratitude the way E&J can make the entire experience into not only a loving, fun time but also a very particular, planned, well executed science. Beyond how easy flowing & perfect the process is with E&J, they become your friends before you get to your big day & by the end they are like family to you. E&J were present & took an active part at our rehearsal dinner, our wedding prep, our wedding, our reception, & our after wedding fire pit. They learn & adapt faster than any 2 people I've met. E&J are an amazing couple, they are amazing photographers, & they are now amazing friends. I am looking forward to booking them for every wedding I can in the future of my family. The first question everyone asks. Was the price worth it? ABSOLUTELY!!! I was a bride on a budget but this is where we "splurged" (I put it in quotations because now that i look back it really isn't that much for what you are getting). My Maid of Honor had a very bad experience using a "lower priced" photographer and I knew I wanted someone with a great reputation but still willing to let us have our style. I fell in love with their website. My mother fell in love with Emma and Josh's website and said in the end this will be the most important purchase. It was and we are so happy we did this. First the professionalism is absolutely amazing. Second having a man and woman's perspective of photography is awesome. They are able to shoot different styles and they both bring something special to it. I am so blessed to have realized how valuable photography is and everyone i see just raves about how great the photos look online but it is crazy, they look even better printed. Emma and Josh understand what they are doing and truly take their time to get to know every couple they meet. We had so many great memories with them and it is hilarious that our entire wedding party knows their name because we would just brag about how good they are all the time. Read further if you want a detailed review on the complete experience. I took for granted everything a photographer is involved with but now that we reflect we realize how much the photographer needs to be great at! Being a bride is COMPLETELY stressful when you are pursuing your MBA, want a super small wedding that turned into 270 invited guests, and when you have a mother who is going to be 8 months pregnant at your wedding. If it weren't for Emma and Josh I know for a fact we wouldn't have enjoyed our entire wedding experience the way we did. I want to try and keep this short so reviewers actually read it but please understand there is soooo much to say. First from the hiring process they were patient with us. Once we started planning for an engagement shoots there were NO time limits, mileage limits, pose limits. We drove up to Santa Barbara all over the place and Emma and Josh recommended areas we would have never even thought of but still took us to our favorite place. We had to reschedule a few times because of my busy schedule and emma ENCOURAGED us to reschedule if we didn't feel that we were going to be completely confident or rested in the photos. I thought she would be frustrated but she was completely genuine. Now the big day! They scoped out spots for our first look. They helped carry my dress. They pulled me away from areas when I could tell family and friends were stressing out. They created shots I would have never imagined. My husband and I look extremely natural in our photos. I am always a posed photo person but now i understand how beautiful things are when they aren't posed but just living in the moment. We had fun at our wedding because we knew things would look perfect behind their lens. PASS technology is amazing and look into it. It helps distribution after the wedding. To be able to access our photos anywhere we are is so much fun! Oh and the photo book quality is AMAZING it will definitely last forever which i didn't realize is so important and now do! I cannot wait until we hang our canvas photos the problem is there are too many good photos we do not know what to print!

Emma and Josh are great! I love that they are a husband and wife team. They work really well together and they're pretty funny. When we first met them, they made us feel very comfortable and at ease. They did our engagement photo shoot first and they didn't mind shooting at two different locations. I liked how they both had their own visions of good spots to shoot. And they would shoot from different angles at the same time so that was a huge plus. They also did our wedding and we were so impressed with how how hard they worked. I mean, MAN! It was such a long day and we shot at various locations because we had a huge property all to ourselves. I don't know how they did it but they DID. They were always willing to do whatever we needed them to do and that's one of the big reasons why I'm giving them 5 stars. They work hard and they work with you. They're just great people and you will love them if you book them for your special event. :-)

Emma+Josh were the first vendor we selected and they were with us through the entire process. We had met with a couple others but EJ was the obvious choice. It was great to meet a husband/wife team that could understand the dynamics of a couple as well as the chemistry necessary for some AMAZING photos. Their style is very natural- not as posy, and their goal is to strive to capture those natural moments of love that just seem to happen effortlessly amongst couples. They were relaxing, down to earth, and made the process easy. Super punctual and professional. Most of all, they didn't feel like vendors! they felt like our friends! They draw their inspiration from the couple so don't look to recreate all those cheesy standard poses all over wedding books and sites (except for some super fun sun flare shots). We LOVED our engagement photos and the sneak peeks of the wedding photos are even better and BEAUTIFUL!!! They worked very well with the other vendors and they did a great job of helping to keep everyone on time. They made the entire process from the engagement photo shoot to the day of so much more relaxing. I would definitely use them again!

Emma and Josh were amazing! As a same-sex couple, we were super sensitive to language and Emma + Josh's early survey was gender-neutral, and very respectful. My wife and I really felt that Emma and Josh KNEW us. Our engagement session with them was FUN! They came with gifts that they knew we'd both like and brought a gift card to our rehearsal. They're thoughtful and considerate. And all our friends and family thought they were great -- they weren't intrusive at the wedding and still managed to capture every special moment -- and then some. We feel like we made new friends and are eager to see them succeed. Our wedding and engagement photos are stunning and we are beyond thrilled. They are super fast to respond to emails and when we needed to hire a third person for a unique photo booth, they found the perfect person. Emma and Josh don't feel like two impersonal people working a job; instead, because of their marriage and relationship, they know without having to be told just what moments to capture. They work with their heart first and it shows in everything they do. We can't recommend them enough! All the stars!!

I met Emma & Josh at a small bridal show in LA and I loved their pictures and style. You never know if the pictures you see at a bridal show are the quality you are going to get or just the cream of their crop. But Emma and Josh lived up to my expectations. Professional, Punctual, Personal, Accommodating, Affordable, Artistic, Amazing! These are just a few words to describe our experience with Emma and Josh. My husband and I were married in October in California and we chose Emma and Josh as our photographers. We live out of state so it was a challenge trying to plan most of the wedding. Not the photography. Right from the start, they eased our worries and concerns with their professionalism. They took the time to get to know us, and what we wanted for our wedding. More than anything, they genuinely cared about capturing our special day the way we envisioned it. The entire experience of working with Emma and Josh was very enjoyable. They were so professional. And then we saw the pictures! I couldn't have ever imagined how beautiful our pictures could turn out. They looked like they could have been on the cover of every popular bridal and wedding magazine on the planet. When I look at the pictures, I feel like a movie star. As soon as we met Emma and Josh, we knew they were the best team to capture our movie-themed wedding. We appreciated all they did to get the best shots for us, including scoping out our sites ahead of time and understanding our vision. They were so easy to work with, fun, and creative. While she was all the way in Hong Kong! Thanks to the internet age, we worked out the date for pre-photoshoot meet up, engagement photoshoot, event walk through, and of course, the whole day wedding event! Emma and Josh are amazing! I saw their work through my wedding florist's blog and so I decided to give them a call. When I met them I felt an instant connection like we had been friends for a long time so that was one of the deciding factors on why I chose them, but their photos also speak for themselves. They accomodated my busy schedule with their own busy schedule for my engagement photos which turned out amazing. I don't normally like my pictures, but they made me look beautiful which really warmed my heart so I knew I was in great hands. On our wedding day, they were on top of their game. They have such a wonderful artist style that is just beautiful! They were also able to accomodate some of my family's request to take the traditional photos so I was able to get a mixture of artistic and traditional(with a modern twist)photos; and the photos ended up looking fantastic! I got so many compliments on my wedding photos. They made my romantic glamour theme come to life. It was wonderful and more than I imagined! Now I have gorgeous pictures and memories of my wedding day thanks to Emma and Josh! They were definitely one of the best decisions I made for my wedding!
