My husband and I couldn’t have asked to work with a better photographer for the biggest day of our lives. Emma was kind, positive, warm, and down to earth from start to finish and put us at ease through each step of our wedding planning process. Her attention to detail and ability to capture the big moments, the little ones, and everything in between meant so much! We’re also thankful to have met Emma when we did, as we’d love for her to shoot any upcoming milestones that we’d like to have a photographer capture. You won’t regret booking this amazing artist and delightful human!

HIRE HER. Seriously, the most wonderful vendor/photographer/human. She handled our 180 person wedding and dynamic family with absolute grace. Two instances that really demonstrate the level of care, talent, and professionalism this woman has...1) She had no choice but to step away *briefly (10 min?)* on the day of our wedding and communicated weeks in advance that this would happen. She offered to give us a print as a gift and to stay a WHOLE EXTRA HOUR to give us many additional photos to account for those 10 minutes she couldn't be shooting. So kind and thoughtful to do so! 2) By the end of the day, my groom and I were so tired from photos we almost quit before the sunset. Emma gently and graciously left the choice up to us, but also gave us an ever so gentle push and a wink to get through 5 more minutes of photos. And she DELIVERED, the sunset photos will be treasured by us for our lifetime together and we would not have those without Emma. I wish we could be friends, she's fantastic, and you need her on your most special day.

Best decision we made for our wedding. From the start, Emma was quick in her responses and made herself available for the many questions we had. She was authentic and genuinely excited for our wedding, which was what made us so comfortable entrusting her with the biggest job on our biggest day. Emma set up calls to prepare us for our engagement shoot, everything from what to wear to how we should use it as a date night afterward since we're already dressed up! Emma goes above and beyond and doesn't just stop at taking breathtaking photos. Emma provided timelines for the wedding and when exactly we should be hopping on the phone to talk through final logistics. She is extremely detail-oriented and was two steps ahead of us, which helped us relax during those stressful last few weeks. On the day of the wedding, Emma and her second shooter, Kristen, were impeccable in their timing and nailing down all of the key photos we asked for. They also deserve credit for keeping some of our rowdy groomsmen in line, which they did with finesse and professionalism. We could not be happier with the photos we've seen thus far, as Emma seemed to be just as excited to get our photos out into the world by providing us some photos and posting to Instagram the NEXT DAY. Emma is not just a vendor or photographer. She is the crucial piece of your wedding that you absolutely need to lock down. Do not miss out. We hired Emma for an engagement shoot / wedding package and it was one of the best vendor decisions of our wedding. She is kind, knowledgeable, professional, and very good at directing people in photos. All of our photos have been gorgeous and we’ve received a ton of compliments. We hired Emma for our wedding and I cannot say enough great things about her! She was a absolutely amazing to work with, she was laid back & fun and truly felt like an old friend. One of the best decisions that my husband and I made for our wedding was having Emma as our photographer (I literally said that to my husband on our wedding day). Her immense talent, warm presence, and attention to detail ensure a beautiful, personalized outcome for all your wedding photography needs. I absolutely adore our engagement, wedding, and reception pictures. Our wedding planning was upended by the pandemic, and Emma was so kind, gracious, and helpful every step of the way. We were lucky to have found Emma, from the second we saw the pictures on her website, we were impressed! She was flexible and understanding, as we had to reschedule our wedding several times throughout the year. Her attention to detail and easy-going demeanor put everyone at ease throughout the big day. My wife is a meteorologist and she wanted some engagement pictures in the snow. They spoke often, and once snow was in the forecast, Emma dropped everything and braved the elements to come out and get the perfect shots. Hiring Emma was the best decision we made while planning our wedding. She went above and beyond to schedule (and reschedule!) our engagement session in our neighborhood in Washington, D.C. before traveling to New Jersey for our wedding. She was also a pleasure to discuss logistics with; she never made it feel like a chore. She put my husband and I immediately at ease during our engagement session and seeing her on our wedding day felt like welcoming an old friend. And her photos...magic. She captures sunlight in the most incredible way -- while photographing us at sundown, she had us step backwards every minute or so to stay in the sunlight -- and every picture felt rich and special. On our wedding day, at the tail-end of the pandemic and after a year and a half without seeing our closest friends and family, we told her we wanted to prioritize photos with our guests. Again, she went above and beyond to capture small moments with each of them, and we'll cherish these photos forever. Emma is, hands down, the best. We cannot thank her enough!

We would give Emma more than 5 stars if we could! We are so happy we found her and were able to have her as our wedding photographer. Not only is Emma a wonderful photographer but a wonderful person and we always loved meeting with her and chatting with her. We had to postpone our original wedding date and Emma was along with us for the ride and so patient and understanding with the re-planning. Emma took the most beautiful photos of us and our wedding! She both captured each moment while blending with the wedding crowd. I knew looking at Emma's photos initially that she would be an amazing wedding photographer - we actually loved her so much, we booked her before even getting engaged and it was the best decision related to our wedding that we made. Not only are her pictures beautiful, unique, and classic, but working with her is a dream. For an awkward non-photogenic couple (like we are), Emma came equipped with great guidance and specific recommendations to make our photos look perfect. She even had a few tricks up her sleeve when we brought our crazy dogs to our engagement photos and helped us make it fun. She's so easygoing and accommodating and I felt completely comfortable emailing her with any questions in the weeks and months leading up. Both our engagement and wedding photos are stunning and her amazing talent shines through. Looking through our photos makes me feel like I'm reliving our day, she re-captured everything so perfectly. Emma was professional, prompt, creative and a ton of fun to have present on our wedding day! She was very knowledgeable in organizing our family photo shoot, making our first look (which I was nervous about) a lot of fun, and catching all of the most important parts of our wedding. Her creativity really showed in her ability to work with the cold and dark of our winter wedding, to produce a really beautiful set of photos that we'll always enjoy. (and helping us have a great time in the process.) I could not recommend Emma more!

If I could give 10 stars I would. The photos were better than I could have ever hoped for and make me feel like I am reliving the day every time I look at them. They bring tears to my eyes still. Not only is Emma talented but wonderful to work with from start to finish. She is very professional and her fun personality was one of the best experiences we had planning our wedding.

Emma was amazing to work with as our wedding photographer. She remained calm, flexible, and supportive during our ever-changing pandemic wedding plans. Emma was fantastic to work with. Choosing Emma to shoot our wedding was one of the best decisions we made during our wedding planning. She is organized, punctual, and an excellent communicator. Her photos of our wedding were stunning. My husband and I were married in an old, dark Church. Emma managed to bring out the beautiful colors and lighting in the Church and through the streets of downtown West Chester. We loved having Emma photograph our wedding. She was super knowledgeable of the Catholic Mass which was very important for us. This means she knew all the right moments to capture during our ceremony. We also had a tricky schedule with where everything was located and 'rules' of the venue/cathedral but she was able to roll with the punches, so to speak, and captured all our special moments.

After countless hours of research and looking through many portfolios, we finally landed on Emma. We couldn’t have been happier with our decision! She was very prompt to respond with very fair pricing and was able to capture the vision we had after sending her sample photographs from our engagement shoot. We booked both her and her 2nd photographer for our wedding day and they were both so awesome, capturing different parts of our special day. She was also, thankfully, on top of the weather forecast too! Our original plan was for the first look to be as I was coming down the aisle but she was nervous there would be rain during/after the ceremony and we wouldn’t be able to do an outdoors shoot during cocktail hour. She was able to explain the situation to us and the rest of the wedding party and we were able to change our plans and do a first look before the ceremony. It went so smoothly it was as if it was planned! Not only were we able to do the first look, but with the help of her husband we were able to get all of our family and wedding party photos done as well. They were so efficient and professional about it, it really made us feel super comfortable with the changes! After the rain subsided, we went back outside for our couple shoot and those photos turned out amazingly well, too! Looking through the photos after was so much fun, she really captured every single part of the wedding and even parts we didn’t know were going on, like my husband’s grandma twisting it up on the dance floor! Anyways, Emma and her 2nd photographer were incredibly professional, reasonably priced, created the perfect wedding photos, and were quick to adjust and capture all of the different parts of our special day. We would recommend her to anyone who asks for a photographer and will likely use her whenever we next need a professional photographer!

I can’t say enough about Emma not only as a photographer, but as a person! I reached out to multiple companies here on The Knot, and majority of them sent me the generic message with a price package, which wasn’t even for the photographer that I wanted, it would be for one of their assistants. Emma showed up in my search, and after looking through ALL of her photos (because I was obsessed), I figured this was too good to be true, but I requested a quote anyway. Quickly, Emma sent me a message that was upfront with her pricing, but she also set up a phone appointment so that we could both get a feel for what I was looking for. She genuinely cared about my fiancé and I, how we met, our engagement, and we talked about all things wedding - the venue, my dress, bridesmaids, etc. After our phone call, I booked her 2 days later. Fast forward to the wedding day, Emma and her second shooter Bianca were so sweet and professional, it was like having another girlfriend there, and they were great at getting us moving while capturing EVERY single special moment. We just received our photos a couple of days ago, and we were blown away. They’re so artistic and romantic, just what I told Emma I was looking for during our phone call over a year ago. They made us feel extremely comfortable throughout the whole day, and checked in with us multiple times about specific shots that we wanted but maybe didn’t think of before the wedding. Also, Emma emails a photo list a couple of weeks before the wedding and has it in her hand that day to make sure we had all of our shots with our special guests. We couldn't be happier with Emma as our wedding photographer!! Her photos are absolutely stunning and she truly captured what our wedding day felt like, the emotional essence -- the joy, beauty, and love we felt. Hiring Emma as our photographer was our best wedding choice! There’s a few things you have control over on your wedding day. Having a little rain on your wedding day is definitely one of those things you can’t control. But knowing I had Emma to handle the day made it all worth it. Choosing my photographer was a no brainer. From the moment we spoke on the phone she wanted to get to know exactly who Kyle and I were as people. I was so excited to meet her and she definitely exceeded my expectations. We decided to have an engagement shoot so we could have pictures at the venue before our wedding day and I’m sooooo happy we did. Kyle and I were able to be intimate and comfortable with her within minutes, and we are not the type to feel comfortable in front of the camera. She made it feel like she wasn’t even there, yet made the entire experience enjoyable and fun! I absolutely love how our wedding photos came out. You can see the emotions and relive the entire day. Would highly recommend using Emma Dallman for wedding photography. She was very professional, super friendly, and most importantly her pictures turned out incredible. She was also very quick to get them over to us. I've heard people waiting many weeks and/or months to get their pictures back and we got them much quicker. Emma was amazing to work with and made sure to get all of the photo ops that we specially asked for. She and her second shooter were very unobtrusive and they never were in the way or super noticeable at the wedding and reception, but still captured all the best moments. Her pricing and length of time allotted both worked the absolute best for us. Choosing Emma was one of our best wedding decisions and I would tell everyone who needs a photographer to book her immediately.

From the moment I saw Emma's portfolio, her photography drew my eye. She was incredibly open to trying some off the beaten path places we had scouted, while allowing us to snap picks as we roamed the city from spot to spot. She also came armed with plenty of posing prompts that made my fiance and I feel comfortable throughout. Afterwards, she delivered the photos quickly with an excellent collection for us to choose from. With an eye for capturing the feel of a city while still highlighting my fiance and I, Emma was a superb choice for engagement photos.

First off, I have to start by saying that photos have always been important to me; I view them very much as a form of art and an important portal in time. So when I was thinking about photography for our wedding, it was a no brainer to get someone who delivered beautiful, quality photos. I've had friends who scrimped here and gotten some vaguely prom-esque photos in return, fogged edges included. Their regret upon getting the pictures back was heartbreaking. All of this led us to Emma, whose photos are not just beautiful but emotive, which is a hard combo to nail. I was thrilled when she agreed to come and shoot our wedding just outside of Hood River, Oregon. From our prep call prior to the wedding where she asked about our personalities, what we liked, what types of pictures we wanted and the political dynamic of the family to the day of where she worked tirelessly all day (even climbing into an occasional bush) to nail capturing the best photos, she did an absolutely incredible job! We just got the photos back and they look like they're from an editorial shoot and this is not just me tooting my own horn. Friends and family are also blown away by the pictures, saying that they are the best wedding photos they've ever seen. We feel extremely lucky to have had Emma take our wedding photos. We are trying to figure out how Emma can take all our photos for life. If you have the chance to have Emma as your photography, jump on it! You won't regret it.

I found Emma by chance searching for someone to do our engagement photos - and I am so grateful I did! She was incredibly responsive and immediately made me feel at ease, knowing someone this attentive and engaged would do a great job. My fiancé and I were both excited, and a little nervous, going into the shoot and to put it simply - Emma exceeded our wildest imagination! We not only had the most amazing time during the shoot but couldn’t stop talking about how wonderful it was for days! Emma was fun and made our day enjoyable and relaxed. Our ceremony was very intimate and wanted our pictures to reflect this. Emma was cued into how my husband wanted to be and not be in the pictures. Because of this we have beautiful images that capture very unique moments and from multiple angles. I'm sure that our requests were a bit odd for a wedding photographer but Emma never let it show and was incredibly accommodating. With our last minute changes, Emma went with the flow and was a champ! We are beyond the moon thrilled with our pictures and what Emma caught. She is a blast and we highly recommend her.

Emma is incredible. She did both our engagement session and wedding day photography, and my wife and I couldn't be happier with the results. She captured all the most important moments of the day like my groomsmen and me wearing horse head masks in our suits, my southern belle wife's massive hair, us seeing each other for the first time when she walked down the aisle, our Dog of Honor, my mom crying her eyes out during the mother/son dance (I might have had something in my eye too), my dad and me doing the worm on the dance floor (epic) and everything in between. Our pictures turned out amazing, and Emma truly went above and beyond to make our day special. We highly suggest using her for your engagement session, wedding day or anything else!

After using Emma for our engagement session and wedding, I'm fully convinced my husband and I will use her as our family lifetime photographer :) Maternity pictures, new baby, holiday cards - you name it! She and her husband (who sometimes doubles as her second shooter) are like family to us now after all the care and effort they spent making our wedding day absolutely perfect. Emma is the best of the best. Not only is she a true pleasure to work with, but my favorite part is that she captures candid shots. Even the shots that are staged turn out natural and manage to reflect personality and emotion. When we used her for our engagement session, she spent all day with us. She could have easily charged us double what she did simply for the amount of time she spent and the numerous locations we dragged her to! We could tell she genuinely loves what she does because she would take a shot, look down at her camera and smile or laugh. We told Emma we'd like our wedding ceremony to be a sacred event and although photos are super important, our church had strict guidelines surrounding photography in the chapel and around the altar. You wouldn't have even known Emma was there yet she managed to capture the most beautiful, emotion-filled shots during our ceremony. She got our pictures back in a timely manner and was super professional in answering all our questions leading up to the wedding. She's quick to respond and accommodated all our ridiculous requests including some candid shots of my husband and his groomsmen wearing plastic horse masks, haha! She also calmed me down with her calm demeanor as I was panicking with nerves before the ceremony. We used an outside videographer who was slightly difficult to deal with, and Emma maintained her professionalism while making sure all our needs were met. She was very accommodating and respectful while allowing the videographer the time he needed while also making sure he didn't take up too much time given our tight schedule. Although our wedding was in upstate NY, I knew Emma would arrive on time. She was with me from the time I was in my pajamas that morning until all our guests had left for the evening! In fact, our videographer tried to get us to cut our cake before dinner had been served because he had to leave but Emma assured me she would capture the moment and reminded us it was our day and that we didn't have to rush anything. Sure enough, we don't even miss the video footage of the cake cutting because Emma captured the whole thing beautifully with her photography! My mother is a woman of few words, but as soon as we sent her our wedding photos she called me crying saying how beautiful they were. She said exactly how we felt - that Emma perfectly captured the emotion of the day. I highly recommend Emma for any of your engagement/wedding/life event photography needs. She's truly an incredible woman with an eye for capturing moments, and Michael and I are so very grateful for her for capturing the best day of our lives through her beautiful photography.

First, she was very easy to work with throughout the whole process, guiding us ahead of time to feel comfortable with our schedule for the day and what would work well, along with listening well to what we wanted captured. On the day itself, her and her husband were so easy to work with and so much fun to spend the day with. It was like having more fun friends in our wedding party! They made us feel comfortable, yet kept us moving to ensure we got the shots we wanted, and even made suggestions as the day went on. They were on top of everything the whole day! Just when we thought it couldn't get any better, we got the pictures and they were amazing! They really did a fantastic job, both with the more formal shots, but also in capturing special moments that happened throughout the day. Capturing moments is something that Emma does really well! We are very pleased and would gladly recommend Emma to anyone looking for a photographer! You won't be disappointed.

I'm not a huge fan of having my picture taken, but Emma did a great job of knowing exactly how many pictures I would want. She chose the most important shots to take for our wedding. She was extremely professional and is an artistic photographer. She also helped us feel comfortable and enjoy the entire experience.

Working with Emma was wonderful from the planning stage, through the wedding day, to getting our pictures after the wedding!! Emma asked great questions about what we wanted for our wedding day. She understood both of our personalities so she was able to make suggestions to us and captured the best moments from our day!! My wife and I were amazed at the end result of our photos! Emma and her husband Mark (her second shooter) are such nice and sweet people that put my bride and I at ease on such a hectic day. Their ability to be creative and get beautiful shots while at the same time remaining superbly organized with everything that goes on during a wedding day is remarkable. They captured the vision for our day and the exact feel and tone we wanted so perfectly. All I can say is wow! Emma and her husband/second-shooter, Mark, absolutely floored us with how amazing our wedding photos came out. The photography was very important to my husband and I since everyone knows the day goes by in a blur and it's impossible to remember everything, and it took us a while to find someone who would understand our vision for what we wanted for our big day.
