Emma and her team were one of the best vendors we had! She was incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive. She met with us a few times prior to the wedding to get to know us, learn about what we were looking for, give very helpful suggestions, and worked with our coordinator to craft a timeline that allowed us to eat, dance, and utilize the natural light to get beautiful photos! She was able to help gather family, give directions, and get the family photos done efficiently so we didn’t have to worry about wrangling our families. She could almost read our minds at certain points, making sure that we had the time to actually enjoy our wedding, while she gave the wedding party directions so we didn’t have to. We highly recommend working with Emma for your wedding and engagement photos!

If you are getting married in Chicago, you HAVE to book Emma Mullins as your photographer. She is an absolute master at what she does. Not only are her photographs some of the most beautiful pictures I have ever seen, Emma is a true professional and from the beginning made my now HUSBAND and I feel incredibly comfortable. We had our engagement shoot with Emma about a year ago to get to know her and her style. We absolutely loved our engagement shots and were so excited for her to photograph our big day. Even before our wedding, we had check ins, she asked for shot lists, and was completely involved in every step of the planning process. When it came to our actual wedding day, Emma was amazing and kept my family calm and sane. I truly cannot say enough good things about Emma and her team!! From our first meeting, to receiving our photo album, Emma was professional, timely, kind, and exceeded all of our expectations. We LOVED doing an engagement shoot with her and had so many amazing photos to use for our invitations, wedding website, and guest book. Leading up to the day of our wedding, Emma was extremely helpful; she answered all our questions and eased any anxieties. On the day of our wedding she did such an incredible job herding our large wedding party, taking big group family photos, and keeping the energy and hype up! Her team (Trevor and Sophia) were also equally wonderful and everyone in our bridal party loved them! We got so many comments about how great her team was to work with the day of, and I couldn't agree more. Emma sent us a ~200 photo sneak peek within a week of our wedding- which was SUCH a treat to get on our honeymoon! We got the rest of our photos pretty quickly and they are STUNNING!!! Truly she made us feel like absolute models, and captured so many of the intimate, emotional, and touching moments of the day. Sophia did an INCREDIBLE job with film photography - the film photos are some of my favorite from the whole day! If you hire Emma and her team I guarantee you will not be disappointed ! We couldn't have been happier and are so glad to have such amazing photos to remember the best day of our lives.

Hiring Emma was hand-down the best money we spent on our Chicago wedding! We had so much fun working with her and Nohemi, and it felt very natural, not (at all) forced. Highly recommended, 10/10 would do again, and this was an easy 5-star rating! Emma did a great job following our lead and capturing moments that evoked emotions rather than just taking a bunch of posed shots. When she presented Matthew and I with our "first look" following an engagement shoot, we were truly blown away. Emma photographed my husband and my wedding the other weekend - she was amazing! Emma gathered all relevant information from us in advance of the day, making sure she had shot sheets to ensure the day ran smoothly. She also provided recommendations on best locations for photos, and how much time we would need at each spot. The day of, she was so professional, and kept our day moving on time. She created a fun atmosphere and gave us energy to ensure we looked natural in sometimes weird situations. And most importantly - are photos are gorgeous! Other than choosing each other to marry, I suppose, having Emma as our photographer was the best decision we made about our wedding! She was so easy and fun to work with and she made two people who don't love being the center of attention feel comfortable in front of the camera! She was so helpful every step of the way and really helped us understand everything that went into the day in terms of photos and timeline. Emma and her team were such a great choice for our wedding photography! She was very helpful in our initial meetings and very communicative throughout the entire process which made us feel really comfortable with asking all of our many questions. We had her associate photographer, Alexis, do our engagement shoot and wedding day and couldn't be happier. Alexis was professional and accommodating with our large wedding party in less than ideal weather conditions at times. Also, Emma returned our gallery to us so quickly and the pictures are beautiful! There are also SO many to choose from. Would definitely recommend Emma and her team!

We LOVED working with Emma and Jeremy for our wedding. Emma was incredibly thoughful from the planning of our engagement shoot all the way through to our the wedding day. Our wedding had many moving pieces and a large family that required coordination and a precise timeline to capture all of our photos. At one point, our bus was stuck in traffic on Michigan Avenue and we had to get out and run to the Wrigley building to take all of our photos. Instead of that being a stressful moment, it turned into one of the more fun and unique moments of our wedding which was due in large part to the photography team being flexible with the quick change of plans. We are so thankful for Emma and Jeremy's positive attitude and we are in love with all of the pictures we have from our wedding.

We are so glad that we booked Emma Mullins Photography for our engagement photos and wedding - Emma is phenomenal! Our package included an engagement shoot, a second photographer, and a wedding album. We did our engagement shoot in Lincoln Park (where we got engaged). If you’re introverted like we are, rest assured that Emma will put you and your partner at ease and take stunning, creative shots. We saw several other couples also doing engagement shoots, and compared to other photographers, Emma was lively and made the experience fun. It was important that we felt comfortable with the person capturing intimate moments on a meaningful day, and Emma was absolutely the right person for the job. To prepare for our wedding day, Emma asked thoughtful questions and helped us create a list of shots and special details to capture. She did a wonderful job capturing every special moment of the ceremony and the reception, and the second photographer, Alexis, matched her energy and style. When we reviewed the photos afterward, we were delighted with how they turned out. Our album is a wonderful keepsake. We will cherish the photos of my husband and I, our bridal party, and family and friends. We cannot recommend Emma enough!

We are so glad we hired Emma for our wedding! All the photos, both staged and candid, and it's hard for us to pick favorites - Emma was understanding of the staged photos we knew we wanted (which turned out exactly as we had hoped!) and had great, unique ideas for other staged photos that we didn't know we wanted! She and Jeremy also caught so many great candid moments throughout the day and we ended up with fun and funny photos of all our guests. Beyond the excellent photos, Emma is a true professional. Emma is a true magician at her craft. She was the only person I wanted for my wedding. She has been doing events for my family for a years. I felt as though I was reliving the whole day through the pictures. They were beyond my expectations. Thank you so much Emma!

Emma was incredible. The photos are incredible. We can't thank her enough. We hired Emma for our engagement photos. I was really nervous and feeling self-conscious. Emma was able to make me feel so comfortable and I was so happy with how the photos turned out. We of course hired her for our wedding. We have been in a lot of weddings, and so has our wedding party, and everyone raved at how organized, efficient, and direct Emma was. We took photos at our favorite record shop -- a place I'm usually intimidated to go into as a customer, let alone a bride in a big dress -- but Emma was assertive and kind and we got some of the most amazing photos! Emma also literally stopped traffic on Damen Ave to get incredible wedding party shots of us walking down the street. It is hard to wrangle a wedding party, extended family, and tipsy guests, but Emma kept all the photos going and got all of our requests (as well as all of my mom's extended list of requests). Timelines and schedules change, but Emma was able to make changes on the fly and be creative in the space. Emma did such an amazing job at capturing special moments, including the little ones that others may not have noticed. Also, the photo "booth" was such a hit with our guests. The photo quality is so good and we cherish these prints! I know I am using a lot of superlatives and exclamation points, but this is all authentic. Emma made what could have been an extremely stressful day and night, flow so smoothly. And now we have the pictures to treasure and excellent gifts for family and friends.

We had the best experience with Emma and her team– she has a true gift and our wedding photos were exactly what we were dreaming of. Beyond her skill, she is an absolute joy to work with. We first met her for our engagement shoot and, in addition to putting up with our crazy dog, she made us feel so comfortable throughout the entire session. We are so grateful to have captured those memories. On our wedding day, Emma and her second shooter did a perfect job at capturing the big and little moments, the details, and the overall energy of the day. We received SO many compliments on her professionalism (and her ability to wrangle large groups of people). The last thing I'll share is an anecdote– prior to the wedding, my husband and I had received a permit to take our wedding pictures in the Great Hall at Union Station. However, when we arrived, there were signs that it was closed for a private event and all of the doors were locked. Emma, along with one of our day-of coordinators, disappeared for five minutes. I'm not sure where they went or who they talked to– all I know is that we got into Union Station and were able to take the wedding pictures of our dreams (even better, with nobody in the background!) All that to say, she will go above and beyond for you. Thank you SO much Emma for capturing our day and giving us these lifelong memories! We couldn't recommend this team enough.

We had such a great experience with Emma and her team. She was so easy to work with, fun and professional. She was great at understanding exactly the vibe of our relationship and how we wanted that to come through on the pictures. I also had a jewel tone wedding and needed someone who would let those colors pop - Emma did not disappoint! The engagement session was so fun and she helped us be ourselves. It was truly the perfect practice session for us. When it came to our big day, she was so fun to work with. Captured all the moments perfectly and she was all business. Her and her team handled my family and friends perfectly and somehow was able to wrangle everyone for group pictures. When it came down to the thousands of photos we took - we had a blast and her team ABSOLUTELY crushed it! We recommend Emma 1000%!

We honestly can't say enough great things about Emma and her team. Every step of the way, we felt comfortable and confident with Emma. Down to every little detail, Emma has thought of it. I literally was not even stressed the day of the wedding because of Emma. And of course, the photos were STUNNING! Highly highly recommend!

Emma was our wedding photographer in August 2022. Emma was an absolute joy to work with. She far exceeded expectations and her work was stunning! She captured our day perfectly and made taking pictures such a joy. Emma is very organized and sends out a questionnaire and info all prior to the event date. She asked about our wants and needs and respected them. I HIGHLY recommend Emma for any photography needs.

Emma is the absolute best! She worked with us for our WINDY Chicago February engagement shoot and then for our incredible September wedding this year. Her energy is AMAZING and she helped us feel so much more comfortable in front of the camera (especially for two people that don’t love attention :) ). We look at our wedding photos at least twice a week because we love them so much. I recommend her to all of our friends who are planning weddings because we loved her so much.

Emma was the first vendor we hired for our October 2022 wedding. I saw a coworkers photos and immediately knew we had to hire her. We booked Emma before we were even engaged over a year and a half before our wedding. Spoiler alert: we had absolutely no regrets. While we were in the process of booking for our wedding, Emma worked with my husband and the two of them planned a surprise proposal for me. My husband was so impressed with how good Emma was at keeping up the surprise even when I thought something might be up. In addition to our proposal shoot, Emma also shot our Engagement pics and our wedding (duh). Emma made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and was always game for any ideas we had. Logistically, Emma had everything under control and came to each meeting prepared. She rolled with the punches and made it super easy to add more time to our contract and suggested how best to allocate time for her and her second shooter. She gave helpful feedback and along with our planner, made sure our timeline was ironed out. On our wedding day, Emma and her assistant, Alexis, did a great job wrangling our wedding party as well as our large family pictures (I think one photo had 50+ people 😬). She was able to adapt on the fly making suggestions along the way but also never being pushy. Emma’s contract states they’ll deliver your final gallery within 12 weeks of the wedding. In our experience, we got sneak peeks (almost 100 photos!) for our wedding a week and a half after our wedding and received our full gallery (1500 photos!!!) 7 weeks after the wedding [while on our Honeymoon!]. Honestly Emma’s photos speak for themselves. If you like her style, hire Emma now. You will not regret it. She is such a pleasure to work with.

We hired Emma and her team to do photography and videography at our wedding and they were THE BEST! From the very beginning we loved working with Emma. She is positive, flexible, detail oriented, and incredibly talented. We put Emma through the ringer with a tight photography timeline and a long list of shots we wanted. She got to everything and didn't break a sweat. Our family and friends loved working with her too. We recently got our photos back and they are perfect. We love all of them and are so happy with the results. Emma's team also did our wedding videography, which was lead by Amy Lynn. We got a preview, highlight video, and ceremony video. Everything turned out perfect! Amy Lynn did such an amazing job. We have watched the videos over and over again. My husband and I could not be happier with our choice to have Emma photograph our engagement and wedding. Since our first meeting, Emma had a bright and vibrant energy that encompassed all that she did, including planning, shooting, and finishing. She was communicative and responsive before our shoots, making sure to form and understand our expectations. While shooting, Emma was confident, adaptable, and creative while providing direction, but also gave plenty of latitude to make it our own. She made sure to incorporate our special people, places, and even our dog! We absolutely LOVED having Emma photograph our wedding reception! She was so easy to work with and had a great naturalistic, not posy style. She brought a tremendous amount of energy, even while shooting outside in January in Chicago! Emma photographed our wedding last October and was fantastic to work with! She was always quick to respond to our questions and was the most organized of all the vendors we worked with. That provided a great deal of peace of mind while planning everything that goes into a wedding, and she even offered advice on how to best schedule the day and maximize our time with photos. She was also super helpful when we had to reschedule due to Covid. We recently received our pictures, and not that we’re biased but her shots at Alice Millar Chapel where we had our ceremony came out better than any others we’ve seen!

Emma is a pro!! My wife and I spent many months browsing what felt like hundreds of wedding photographers. When we came across Emma's website, we knew we found someone special. We sent in an inquiry and received a response quite fast. Emma invited us to chat with her over Zoom so that she could understand our needs best and so she could craft a custom proposal for us. After our first meeting, she sent us our proposal within 48 hours. It included package options that were very descriptive and easy to understand. After carefully discussing the options with my wife, we picked the package that suited our needs and budget best. Emma then sent us a welcome correspondence that was full of great information for couples who are prepping for their wedding, including some blog posts from her website. This was a wonderful way to get us better acquainted with her and also so that we had an idea of what to expect on the big day! Her questionnaire is very detailed and thorough, so we immediately knew we were in good hands. Her professionalism is A+ and unmatched! She has the best loving and caring energy and she's a barrel of fun to hang out with. Emma made us feel SO good on our wedding day and did a wonderful job from start to finish. We just received our album of photos, which left us speechless and emotional. Emma truly captured the magic of the night. Our families all cried looking at the beautiful images. Finding the right photographer was very important to my husband and I, and we loved that the pictures in her portfolio were both authentic and gorgeous. Emma is also so knowledgeable and easy to work with - she recommended spots around Chicago for both our engagement and wedding photos, and was happy to try out a new spot that was personal to us as well. She was also extremely flexible with all of our last minute COVID-related changes, and didn’t miss a beat. We absolutely love our engagement and wedding pictures and would recommend her to anyone!

Finding a good photographer was VERY important to me as I began my search for the right fit for my special day. Lucky for me I found Emma! She was so incredibly personable, fun, easy going, very responsive and just an AMAZING photographer! I couldn’t have found a better fit for my husband and I’s elopement this fall. Emma Mullins was the ideal wedding photographer. We had to make a ton of decisions while planning our wedding, and hiring Emma was the best of them. The pictures themselves were gorgeous, and we’re so thrilled to have them for the rest of our lives—but a few of the intangibles along the way made her truly irreplaceable. A few major advantages of hiring Emma: 1) Both of us are teachers, so we didn’t have an infinite budget when it came to wedding expenses, but our top priority was hiring a great photographer, so we had our work cut out for us: we wanted someone amazing, but we also wanted someone affordable. (Plenty of wedding photographers charge more than $5K, and several charge more than $10K. We couldn’t do that.) After our engagement session, it became pretty clear that Emma was an extraordinary value at the price. 2) Neither of us is particularly at ease in front of a camera, but Emma is kind and gracious, and she went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and relaxed. The engagement photo session, which she added to the wedding package for a steal, was invaluable in helping us get used to the (somewhat unnatural, for us) experience of being photographed. Emma is both professional and casual, organized and relaxed. We immediately knew that we were in good hands, and both the engagement session and the wedding were much more comfortable as a result. 3) The pictures! They exceeded all expectations. Beautiful and special. Not to belabor the point, but Emma is extremely good at her job. Don’t make the mistake of hiring someone who isn’t Emma Mullins! She’s quite literally the best. We’re so thrilled to have hired her.

It was an absolute pleasure working with Emma and the Emma Mullins Photography team for our wedding in June 2021. We used Emma Mullins Photography for our photos, video, and photobooth and we are beyond happy with all the results. From the beginning we knew we loved the style of her photography, but we were absolutely blown away with our wedding photos. They truly captured the moment and energy of our wedding. Emma was ABSOLUTELY spectacular, we can not say enough good things about her. We snatched her up from a friend's wedding because we were so impressed while we watched her work. She's incredibly easy to work with and super punctual and responsive. We were meant to have our wedding in 2020 but had to postpone due to covid, Emma was flexible and we were so happy that she was able to accommodate our new date. Not only is she a great photographer, she is also a genuinely wonderful human. I lost my mom early in 2020 and Emma sent over a lovely care package and note. Totally unexpected and just shows you how she will go the extra mile. My husband and I are a bit camera shy but she did a great job getting us out of our shells. She is incredibly creative and shared great ideas that lead to some of our favorite shots. She is truly an expert in her field and her eye for seeing things in a unique or artistic way is unmatchable. I wish I could hire Emma to photograph every important moment in my life!

We loved working with Emma and her team of associates and videographers! Emma is truly the best! My fiance and I had her photograph our engagement pictures and also some family pictures. She was so patient and wonderful in braving the snowy elements with us. As people who do not really like being in front of the camera, she helped us feel so comfortable and confident through her words of encouragement and enthusiasm. Emma's attention to detail is incredible, she notices things like a crooked necklace or hairs out of place and immediately asks to fix it. She truly cares about her clients and it shows through the way she takes the time to answer questions, patiently waits for that special shot or helps you along when moving from spot to spot. Emma was amazing! We came to her without any kind of vision and she had such great ideas. I liked that she helped compose a wide range of images - from more artsy, painterly ideas to casual, candid shots. We've received a zillion compliments on our photos - I even use one for my work profile! We felt really comfortable with Emma, and she was helpful and responsive when plans changed multiple times. Absolutely would recommend!

Emma did a fantastic job as our photographer for our Fall Wedding in Michigan. Due to Covid-19 we had to relocate our wedding from Chicago to Michigan and Emma had no issue adjusting to our new site. Emma is a very outgoing and friendly individual which made us and our guests comfortable while having our photos taken (knowingly and candid). You can tell that Emma loves what she does and it was apparent in how well the photos turned out for our Engagement session and Wedding. We've received great feedback from friends and family and we couldn't be happier with how they turned out. It was a pleasure working with Emma and we'd both highly recommend her to capture your big life moments.

Emma is absolutely amazing. She is extremely knowledgeable, kind, encouraging, fun, and, above all, generous. And, of course, she is a truly gifted photographer. Our photos are stunning. With Emma, we were able to be comfortable and enjoy ourselves as we worked together to commemorate our wedding. While neither of us had any experience being photographed professionally, Emma put us at ease and encouraged us to make the photo session as memorable and enjoyable as the day it commemorated. Because of COVID related delays and complications, many aspects of our wedding were changed, sometimes very quickly and sometimes very slowly. In all cases, Emma was understanding, empathetic, and quick to offer her expertise and guidance. We decided to cancel our friends and family wedding altogether and instead focus on a personal day at the courthouse. Emma was our only guest and the photos she took that day are perfect. We could not be happier that we have her art and memories of working with her linked to our wedding day. We cannot recommend Emma strongly enough.

I truly can't imagine a wedding day without Emma Mullins. My wife and I had to scale our wedding way down due to the pandemic, but keeping Emma for photos was quite possibly the best decision we made. She kept the atmosphere joyful, with her professionalism and exuberance giving an even a grander sense of occasion to the pared down affair. She was always in a mask, and we always felt safe and comfortable during the time she spent with us. And did I mention her images are absolutely gorgeous? Because they are. Posed shots are beautifully composed and selected so that everyone's best side is alway on display. Her candid shots display the exact mood of the moments she's capturing, and have provided us with even more wonderful memories of our wedding day than we would have ever thought possible. At this point, every computer desktop background, profile picture, cell phone screen saver, and framed image in our home is an Emma Mullins photo, and I could not be happier about it. She helped us plan out photo time so the we'd have the perfect balance of subjects, styles, and locations, and then executed that plan efficiently, while making the whole thing feel like a breeze. I'm positive that a wedding day with Emma was at least 60% less stressful than a wedding day without her. The complete gallery was returned to us in a timely fashion, with all the photos selected, processed, and presented to give us the perfect portrait of our wedding. If we are able to have our planned larger-scale celebration next year, there is no one besides Emma Mullins that we would want as our photographer. Anyone else would feel like a step down. We are truly proud to be featured on her blog and social media, and can't recommend her work more highly!

Emma was our micro wedding photographer and she was such a joy! The pictures turned out even better than we could have imagined. Emma was an enthusiastic cheerleader and supporter to us along our wedding planning journey. Emma is very responsive, enthusiastic, detailed and creative, and helped us accomplish a fantastic wedding day.  Emma helped us identify creative ways to replan our wedding during COVID19, and was incredibly flexible as our plans changed multiple times. We ultimately were able to get married in a small ceremony at Starved Rock State Park in IL, and Emma went above and beyond and drove out there a few weeks before the wedding to scout out some beautiful spots for photos.  During our wedding day, we had photography services with Emma and videography services with her colleague Carlos. Their team helped us feel excited and confident throughout the whole wedding day. Emma's positivity and energy helped us have SO much fun during our photo sessions. Carlos was able to creatively capture video from the full day and we were so impressed by the sound and visual quality of the videos. Emma captured the colors, joy and essence of the day in her photos. Looking back at the photos and videos brings us and our families so much joy. Emma and Carlos sent us highlight photos and a highlight video in just a couple weeks (we paid extra for expedited delivery) , and then the full set of photos and the full video came to us a couple months later. We LOVED working with Emma and her team, and we definitely recommend her for anyone in the Chicago area. Well worth the money! P.S. Thank you to Emma's husband, who stepped in to be our wedding officiant at the last minute due to our plans changing during COVID19. Working with Emma and her team felt like we were working with family. Thank you!

We can not say enough wonderful things about Emma. Emma is not only an extraordinary photographer ( We scroll through our photo gallery every day), she a truly a guardian angel who beams pure joy and positivity. We came to Emma after dropping a contract with a highly rated photographer company in Chicago 6 months before our wedding. In our initial meeting with Emma she genuinely listened to our anxiety and disappointment. She took this and turned our dream vision into a reality. She was able to do this after we completely changed our wedding due to Covid19. We went from a 200 wedding in Chicago to 50 person in the suburbs. Emma worked with us to create a special package so we could have her on our wedding day and our reception that will be in June 2021. On the wedding day Emma was a super hero. The wedding way was chaotic and nothing like our plan A, but Emma made our photos look like we had our original wedding. Emma was focused in on our needs for the wedding day, firm when she needed to be, and calm and relaxing to capture the tender loving moments of the day. I could spend all day writing about how wonderful Emma is. So if you are looking for a photographer, I promise you there is no need to look any further.

Me and my husband had Emma Mullins as our wedding day photographer. We added a 2nd shooter and her photo booth through her. Emma was extremely prepared, great at managing the flow of the day and delivered such beautiful pictures! She was a pleasure to work with and we are very happy with having hired her!

My husband and I knew we wanted a photographer who understood us as a couple. Emma was more than we could ask for! In our meetings leading up to the wedding, Emma was knowledgeable about Jewish weddings, something that was important to us. Her pictures were stunning, and her flexibility in photographing our day was exactly what we wanted. We felt comfortable with Emma, and her calm personality put my mind at ease that our wedding would be photographed beautifully! Leading up to the wedding, Emma asked us for detailed information to help get a better idea of the photos we wanted. She provided lots of assistance, and asked great questions that helped to focus the vision for our wedding. On the day of, Emma was fantastic! Beginning with the photos of me getting ready, Emma was creative and photographed the sweetest moments with my family. On our December wedding, the weather was surprisingly in the 40's, and Emma was so flexible that most of our photos were outside! She picked a perfect spot for our first look, and took some very neat, urban pictures of my husband and me. Emma photographed the entire event, and I still can't believe the amazing photographs she captured! The photos from our first dance and the horah are spectacular, and she truly listened to exactly what we wanted. We really didn't want many "serious" photos or photos that made us feel goofy, and Emma definitely listened to us. At the end of the evening, Emma took us outside to take some night photos. Every time I look at these photos, I tear up! They are beautiful, and show our love in such a lovely way. The night photos have some really cool features, and Emma's talent shows through. Emma sent us a preview of our photos while we were still on our honeymoon, which was such a treat! After receiving all of our photos, we love using the website. It is easy to use, and share with our family and friends. We can't wait to order photos soon, and decorate our home with her beautiful work!
