Emma's Farmhouse Confections

It was honestly the first thing I ordered for our wedding! I’m a lover of cake and couldn’t wait to see the end result at our wedding! Of course it was gorgeous and everything I had hoped for visually. However, when it was time to cut the cake it completely fell apart and was very dry! We couldn’t even serve it to our guests! It was inedible! I was utterly disappointed! Emma was so professional and such a great help throughout the whole process. I just wish the cake came out as expected!

ssed by the finished product. Within 24 hours of the email inquiry, Emma contacted me with her wedding cake menu, which contained cake flavors, filling options, and icing options. We were asked to select five flavors and paid a tasting fee of $30 to reserve our session. On the chosen day, my parents, my groom, his daughter and I drove to her adorable baker's shed on the farm. She had a table ready for us, complete with 5 settings and glasses of water. The only thing that matched the warmth inside the bakery was that of Emma herself--she was all smiles and happiness...and very pregnant!! From the first bite of the first cake sample, which was the "Wedding" flavor, we were hooked! We left over an hour later, after having secured her services with a deposit. My groom and I chose a three-tiered cake, and each cake was a different flavor cake, filling, and icing. She then decorated the whole cake with vanilla buttercream and added the rough texture that I wanted. Our exceptional florist added fresh flowers and Emma placed the cake topper that was ordered specifically for our wedding. Despite having her adorable daughter two months before our wedding, Emma never failed to return an email or a phone call immediately. I don't know how she did it with a newborn, but from start to finish, our experience with her was just incredible! My now-husband and I live a good forty minutes from Emma's location, so we go to lengths to get to her, but she (and her cakes) are 100% worth it and I would more than highly recommend!

I also asked her to make a small cake since it also happened to be my parent's anniversary and she nailed that one too! Such a cute little tribute with daisies that my parents were so thrilled with. Emma is not only a super talented baker, but she's also an absolute pleasure and such a sweet person to work with. Highly, highly recommend!

My favorite dessert is a warm, fudge-y brownie and Emma came up with the idea of making them into a tiered cake. We were absolutely thrilled with the final product. We were able to sample some really fun and delicious options including Root Beer Float, Strawberry Champagne and Cookie Dough. We loved EVERYTHING we tasted and Emma was able to come up with a plan to use several of our favorites in multiple smaller cakes so that we didn't have to choose. She also let us take the leftover samples to share with our family! Emma continued to be open and communicative in the months leading up to the wedding, reaching out to share ideas and to check up on us. She really was so sweet. On the day of the wedding she worked with our venue coordinator to make sure the cakes arrived and were set up beautifully. Even our coordinator commented on how professional Emma was - and how beautiful everything looked. Emma's gorgeous cakes were one of the first things I saw when I walked into the space for the first time on our wedding day. I was BLOWN AWAY. Before they were even cut, we received so many compliments on how beautiful they were. And once the cake was actually served, we had dozens more people raving. Everything about the experience was amazing and I couldn't recommend Emma's Farmhouse Confections more. Our one year anniversary is coming up in a few months and I CANNOT wait to eat the top tier that we've saved for the occasion. I hope to use Emma's Farmhouse Confections for all of my events and celebrations in the future!
