ake good photos but it’s another to be able to capture the essence of the relationship - and that is exactly what she did. I will absolutely use her for every other occasion that comes up in my life. Oh, and total side note, but she is SO FUN!!! If you’re reading reviews to try to decide who to use, don’t waste any more time. Emotive is the way to go.

ver photos that were anything but cliche'. She pulled some strings to secure a unique location for our engagement shoot and humored my fiancé and I as we adventured around the deserted property on a quest for photos that were "different". On our wedding day, she arrived early (I really appreciate punctuality) and drove away my anxiety with her naturally calming presence. We were all impressed by her cunning ability to wrangle guests for mandatory photos with tact and grace. She elicited our playful sides, making "posing" much less awkward for my now-husband and I. Not only were the photos edited and available lightning fast, she was kind enough to keep the links available longer than normal since our families wanted to spend more time going through them. Throughout the whole process, Meagan was communicative and just plain excited for us. I couldn't recommend her highly enough, and if there were more than 5 stars, she would get all of them.

e very time-efficient, which was especially great in the 90+ degree heat! She gave great directions for our couple photos, and was even nice enough to give me a ride when we ended up having extra time before the ceremony :)

been incredible from the start. With your wedding day package, you receive a free engagement session. Meagan happened to be in Indiana while we were living there before our wedding day and took the time out of her vacation to do an engagement shoot with us. She is incredibly talented, thoughtful, and hilarious. She knows exactly how to capture those candid moments, which are always the best. On our wedding day she managed to get every shot that we had requested and so much more, even on a tight schedule. We have absolutely loved looking through our photos (over 800!!) and re-living the day. Thank you Emotive Photo for bringing us so much joy.

otography is so important to me, and I wanted to make sure the pictures that were taken were taken well. After looking at several underwhelming websites, we stumbled upon Emotive Photo. We both immediately knew that this was the style and approach that we had been looking for. The photographer/owner of Emotive is Meagan Scharmahorn, and working with her was one of the most comfortable experiences I've ever had being photographed. She is very personable and relatable. Her quality of work really stood out to me among the other vendors we saw, and I am more than pleased with the end result of her work.

Not only does Meagan have incredible skills with a camera and an incredible eye for detail, she is also one of the sweetest and most fun-loving individuals I have ever had the pleasure of working with. ed. I am not one of those people who really "enjoy" getting their photos taken but Meagan made it so comfortable and fun that it was a breeze. She takes beautiful photos and you will seriously relive the day when you see them. I was three pictures in (out of hundreds) when I started crying when I first looked through them. Having great photos that we can look back at for years was something that was really important to us when we were planning our wedding and Meagan and her team certainly delivered. She captured the sweetest moments (and some of the funniest moments) and has an eye for great shots. The planning period before the wedding with her was a breeze and she was organized the day of that it took the stress out of the "after ceremony/cocktail hour" bride and groom portraits, we didn't feel rushed and she got us back for the party without neglecting any shots.
