Zack was great: he did our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception music while providing a photo booth and wedding video. He also had karaoke which our guests LOVED! We had many guests express to us that they loved Zack and this was the best wedding they have ever been to. We had guests of all ages and Zack was able to integrate music that was appeasing to everyone. Zack was able to get my mom who hasn’t danced in 26 years on the dance floor! Overall, our guests were thrilled with Zack as a DJ and I would highly recommend hiring him as a wedding DJ. He does a great job and everyone loved him. We got so many compliments about Zack and our wedding. He was a fantastic help during our pre-wedding meeting to make sure we were going to be satisfied with the music played for all parts of the wedding. His broad knowledge of music helped expand the range of songs that were played to have music satisfactory for all guests. Our guests could not say enough good things about Zack and we were very happy to have hired him as he helped make our day successful for ourselves and our guests.

Overall, we wouldn't recommend him. He didn’t ruin the event, but the negative far outweighed the positive. He provides multiple services including videoing the ceremony and reception and he includes an edited video. He also offered options like karaoke and a photo booth, which we declined. Positives included a busy dance floor throughout, he provided microphones and emceed the event, music was at an appropriate volume, he provided a guitar for our wedding singer to use, and the initial video was nice. Negatives: -He mixed up the father/daughter and mother/son dance songs, and then asked everyone why no one stopped him. When he realized he messed up, he proceeded to go up to me during my husband's dance and give me an explanation. At that point, I only wanted to make the best of the moment and watch my husband. -Throughout the reception, he went up to my husband and I repeatedly. Even a friend commented that he kept asking for our attention. Taking us away from time we were just trying to enjoy the evening. -We had emailed over a list of songs the day before for each part of the wedding including “must-play” songs to be played during those times. I had provided a list of ~10 songs for cocktail hour and the rest were up to him. During the cocktail hour when we were making our rounds to each table, he had finished playing the songs we provided him for the cocktail hour, he immediately began playing our songs intended for the dance reception (including The Wobble and Copperhead Road, which I had specifically asked him to play when the bride was dancing). Guests commented this was strange. -During one of the brief periods without rain before the reception, we were in the middle of outdoor family portraits and the DJ came over insisting on talking to me, which was frustrating, as we were trying to maximize the brief period of no rain. -He continually took requests for slow songs that killed the dance floor. -We declined the karaoke service that he provided, but we found out that he asked some guests to do it anyway. It seemed like this DJ had his own agenda and the fact that we didn’t do everything according to his plan, did not suit him. -As part of the DJ’s service, he provided a video of our reception. We enjoyed having this content. I will say that the DJ did it in an awkward way. A lot of times the video was in the form of a selfie with him getting himself in the video. And sometimes coming up to people and putting the video in their face. We got guest feedback that this was awkward/off-putting. -My dad’s toast never got announced, I forgot about it too, at the time, but this was a bummer and it never happened. The initial video was nice. He emailed us multiple times to let him know if we wanted any edits and when I was “100% happy”, to write him a positive review. I asked if he had additional coverage and he proceeded to remove the video before we downloaded it. He said he had a new policy and wouldn’t give us the full video until we gave him a positive review. Essentially, he held the wedding video hostage until we provided a positive review. I think this is very unprofessional and manipulative. This was the biggest reason for our 1 star review (right after the wedding, we would have given a 2/3). Btw, we eventually convinced him to provide us our video. To clarify, we enjoyed the video. We hired him primarily as a DJ (video was an added bonus)- the review is entirely based on his day of efforts and communication afterwards.

Dear Prospective Clients,
Please visit my website, click on the "weddings" menu, and you...
can see the videos of all the weddings for which I have provided music and videography, including the video from the wedding in question here.
The wedding was beautiful and the video is also beautiful.
For them to be complaining and giving me the lowest rating is mean spirited, unreasonable, and ungrateful for the valiant job that I did, and the valiant job that we all did.
I provided the following service:
DJ. ...
MC. ...
extra guitar for a guest musician. ...
Lighting. ...
I kept the dance floor full and fun. ...
I made one mistake:
For the father daughter dance, I played the wrong song. That could have been fixed immediately, and the dance restarted.
Liz contradicts herself. "Positives included a busy dance floor most of the night, ... the music was at an appropriate volume" but then says, "He continually took requests for slow songs that killed the dance floor." We agreed that I would take some requests and suggestions from the guests. Some people requested slower music. Variety is good.
Communication: Liz complained that I asked too many questions. The weather was awful, and the circumstances were awkward, things were in an unusual order. We needed to communicate.
Liz asked if I got footage of the flower girls, and I would have if she had communicated.
Liz asked if I got footage of her and mother dancing, and I would have if she had communicated.
I missed the beginning of her father's speech, because I was not warned about it. He just started suddenly. We could have started over. I only missed a few sentences. Communication would have been good.
Concerning holding the video ransom, Liz kept asking for more and more revisions of the video. Each time revision take up time for editing, time for "rendering", and a lot of time for uploading. I have never been asked for so many revisions. It seemed like she would never be satisfied. She was holding me ransom for a good review. And now, despite my best effort, she has added insult to injury.
Concerning the "Selfie" element of some of the footage of the dancing ... she never asked me to remove the "Selfie" element in the dance footage." Instead she just wrote about it in the review. I can still edit the "selfie" element out of the video.
And you may be wondering ... Why was I in some of the footage? ... Because ... As I circulated among the dancers, I held the camera so they could see themselves, but in the process, I was sometimes on the view as well. It still can be edited so I am not in the picture. I am happy to do that editing.
I was very happy for the newlyweds, and honored to be helping make their wedding as beautiful as possible, under the circumstances, I and we did a great job. But their mean spirited and unreasonable review is very disheartening.
It is unreasonable and mean-spirited for them to give a horrible review to the one person who was providing so many services.

Five stars… if you’re looking for a DJ who can turn a packed dance floor into a buffet line in under 30 seconds.
This DJ was so bad he'd ruin a silent disco and could spoil the mood at a surprise party for a lottery winner.
If you want a dude who completely ignores your playlist that we spent hours on, murders the excitement, and makes every special moment feel like an elementary school talent show gone wrong, look no further.
I wouldn’t trust this guy to run music at a kid’s birthday party. If bad vibes had a sound engineer, it’d be him. The cake was the only thing worth dancing for.
He transitioned between songs with all the grace of a forklift in a library. Every transition sounded like two songs colliding in a dark alley as he sang on the mic with his own made up lyrics. His “crowd reading” skills could best be described as “blindfolded lawn darts.” He was asked 4 separate times to use our playlist and stop the commentary. This only provoked him and he proceeded to call my wife a "control freak" not once but twice on the mic in front of everyone.
Our guests didn’t leave because the night was over, they left because of his attitude and the music made them question their will to live. This wasn’t a soundtrack to our wedding, it was a test to see how tolerant we could be.
If you value your wedding and the money spent on it or your sanity, do not hire this DJ. Avoid this guy like he avoids listening to the bride, groom and the rest of our family.
Adding insult to injury, he left his solar panels to his van on my in-laws lawn which burned and killed the grass.

Zack was so wonderful to work with and had everyone on the dance floor all night long. He played acoustic guitar for our ceremony, sang and played for our cocktail hour, and then played an amazing blend of genres and songs to really make the party come to life. We had a wonderful experience and would recommend him to others!

We had the best wedding!!! Zack did a fantastic job, from not just playing guitar during the beginning of the ceremony and videoing the whole ceremony and reception, but MCing and playing a combination of guitar, karaoke, and song requests from everyone who came! We had the most amazing wedding day and Zack definitely helped us execute the very best/fun filled wedding day!!! Thank you so much Zach!!!

Zack Danziger was just the right choice for our celebration. He is extremely talented musically, also funny and charming. He plays a great range of music, so we were able to sing along and dance, and some guests just sat and enjoyed listening. His videos captured all the right moments, with a sensitive feel for the romance and sentiment of the occasion. Zack will enhance your engagement, wedding, renewal of vows, or other celebration of love.

We are very happy with the music that Zack provided for our special event … and this is coming from a professional musician myself.
The classical guitar for the ceremony, the jazz guitar with vocals for the cocktail hour, and classy music for dinner, and the pumped up Dance Party, he has it all.

Lots of people leave 5 star reviews to be polite, but Zack is a truly perfect DJ. He knows how to support a party with music, and he can incorporate all different types of music listeners and even players, but prevents things from getting weird. We had a large party with guests ranging in age from toddler to very senior, and everyone had fun, including some serious dancing. Zack can play and sing as well as bring modern beats. Easily the best DJ experience ever.
