for us. Pictures don't do it justice. In fact, we had toured approximately 10 other venues prior to this one and when stepped into this one, I knew it was the right one. Our main priorities were proximity to hotels, an outdoor space and classy/glam feeling. This knocked it all out of the park. The bar is a stunning first view when you walk in. The white walls and crown molding just add a level of sophistication. We also loved that you could draw the curtains to make separate spaces for each part of the day, which we did. We used the center space for ceremony, the bar space for cocktail hour and the far side for the reception. It was absolutely perfect! We had approximately 90 guests and the space was neither too big or small for that number. Beyond the space, the team, specifically Katie Ticknor (who was the event manager assigned to us) sealed the deal. From the first interaction, Katie was knowledgable, professional and attentive. She was able to answer all our questions and give us straightforward answers giving details and pricing. When it came to the meetings prior to the wedding day, Katie was amazing at asking questions about our vision, giving suggestions when we weren't sure and taking detailed notes so we got everything we wanted on our day. On the day, I didn't have to worry about the venue or bar service at all. I had the utmost confidence in Katie and her team. They had all the tables and chairs laid out exactly as discussed. We even had a small room flip between ceremony and reception and they completed that quickly and quietly as to not disturb our guests during cocktail hour. This let us fully enjoy our day! Now, on to the bar. We did the gold package (top shelf), red and white wine bottles at each table, signature drinks and a champagne wall. Wow! All of these details really elevated the day. And I only had to explain my vision for all these once. Katie made sure it was done. We also had many guests who were sober and NA drinks options were very important to us so everyone could celebrate. Katie made sure this happened. Our champagne wall had some that were sparkling cider, we had an NA signature cocktail and the empire room already had several NA spirits and beers available. Our bartender, Tyler, was amazing!! So kind, engaging, great service and always had a smile on his face. He was more than accommodating. Our guests LOVED him!! I am a dirty martini girl and the Empire Room doesn't carry olive brine so Katie and Tyler let me bring in my own to have my own special dirty martinis on my wedding day. I was so grateful and felt so special! Prior to the wedding Katie even asked which glass I would like my martini served in. On the wedding day, I talked to Tyler about the exact ratios I prefered my martinis. When I went to the bar, he already had a station with the glasses, olive brine and olives set up for me. Talk about making a girl feel special on her day! He made every martini just as I asked and they were delicious!! It was just such a special touch. Serioiusly, if I haven't convinced you already to book the Empire Room, let"s talk about location. Midtown crossing was a perfect location for our guests especially considering 75% were from out of town. The Element Hotel was right next door. Our guests LOVED it!
