Empowering Boudoir Photography

nd was blown away!!! The actual photo shoot was super fun! The hair and makeup looked amazing. Katie and the mu/hair artist helped me pick out different looks, and made me super comfortable. If you're on the fence about doing a boudoir shoot, don't be, just do it! You'll be glad you did!!!

ne we have showed them to can't stop raving about how stunning they are. My family is not the best at posing and smiling but Katie and her second shooter Jen were a joy to work with and made everyone feel comfortable. Katie provided us with dozens of preview photos the very next day and then we had all of our hundreds of photos back within two weeks. We are so glad we chose to work with Katie and would love to work with her again in the future.

It's really important to find a photographer that you want around you on your most special day, in your most private moments. I am so glad I found her. I have received so many compliments from people around the world on my wedding pictures. I had a small intimate civil ceremony at city hall and I was so happy with the photos Kate took that I had to call her back to photograph our reception in Vegas. Kate played with the colors and instead of making it look tacky (because Vegas), she make it look bold and Hollywood-esque, which is exactly what I envisioned. The two events had completely different themes, colors, and vibes but she captured the essence of both events in the best way - she is really versatile and talented. I will always cherish these pictures - Kate captured our happiness perfectly.

can be the photographer on my wedding day even though it was only a day after returning from her trip. Her quick responses to my emails (even after the wedding day), her friendly personality, her gorgeous portfolio, reasonable pricing, and her familiarity with our wedding venue made her our photographer of choice, and boy, are we glad we hired her. She did a phenomenal job capturing big moments and small yet meaningful details including my breathtaking flowers I spent so much time with the florist on. Oh and (sigh) her use of lighting (indoor and outdoor) to capture the expressions and those moments that only happens on wedding days, is amazing. Katie had our photos ready for viewing on the online gallery the very next day. Our jaws dropped to the floor as we looked through our wedding photos. Her work surpassed way beyond our expectations. We still experience our big emotions that we felt when looking at our wedding photos and you can’t come across many photos in life that make you feel that way.

The wedding planning road got very bumpy for us, with a family emergency that required a change of date and venue and a surprise rainstorm on our wedding. We were SO glad that Katie was the common thread throughout the all of the changes. She was always and email or phone call away, and had helpful input on what would look best photographically when I asked for it. She was as cool as a cucumber and handled the switcharoos like a pro. The wedding day was perfect. Katie showed up with a relaxed vibe and started snapping right away. Throughout the entire wedding, guests kept coming up to us to talk about how nice Katie was. We whole-heartedly agreed. Unless there was a photo I specifically asked her to take, I don’t know how she got the shots she did. She was like magic. She even ventured out into the rain to take some amazing couples shots of us. We felt so comfortable with her. She’s a good person to get mushy in front of because she is reflecting the love she is capturing right back at you. Katie perfectly captured our 40-person wedding at a little Mexican Restaurant in Santa Monica. We were surprised to find more than a few pics to preview in our email when we got up the next morning. Oh man, those Oaxacan colors against that rainy sky popped! We were totally floored. And before we got a chance to mail our thank you notes, we had an entire gallery of hundreds of gorgeous photos in our inbox. She even sent us this awesome collaged print she created for fun using a photo from our wedding day and a beautiful photo she took of the ocean. This woman is exploding with creativity! I honestly can’t imagine a more perfect execution of what my husband and I wanted our wedding photos to look like. We will cherish the love the captured forever. Truth be told, I still find myself scrolling through Katie’s website and Instagram looking for new photos of other happy wedding days she’s snapped. So, just hire her already.

She was so sweet and accommodating when scheduling the shoot and made sure to confirm where and when it was. I was spoiled with great makeup and lingerie as well! Within a matter of a couple days, Katie sent over a few pictures she started to edit to get an idea on what they looked like, and I was so happy with the results. The finished products were breathtaking and I was so happy with the photos. I highly recommend Katie for boudoir shoots!

We're from Toronto and didn't have any connections to photographers in Cali, and we're extremely particular about art, photography, and aesthetics. So we did a TON of research on different photographers, had a number of Skype calls with different photographers, etc. before deciding on Katie. Besides her work being absolutely beautiful, Katie is incredible to work with. We communicated a ton beforehand and she really made sure to understand what we wanted and why. She's sweet, attentive, genuine and unassuming - and I think most importantly, she keeps the focus on YOU. I've worked with other photographers who are a bit in-your-face, have big/loud personalities, or even a bit of an ego - but Katie was just a joy to work with. On the day of, she was perfect. Given that our wedding consisted of me, my groom, an officiant and a photographer - the energy she brought really was going to have a big impact on the day... and I couldn't imagine anyone being as amazing as she was. Katie also made us feel extremely comfortable and natural in front of the camera, which was something we were a tad anxious of beforehand. And finally, the photos. We could not be more thrilled with how they turned out, and anyone who sees them is completely blown away. It's 8 months later, and still, people I haven't seen in a while will make a point of saying how gorgeous the photos were. As a photographer, Katie is artistic, creative, totally "gets it", and has a real ability to capture details, moments and emotions beautifully. Anyway, as someone who did a ton of research, is extremely particular, and rarely takes the time to write reviews - all I can say is: work with Kaite! You will not be disappointed :)

Her turnaround is very quick and reasonable, and she was open to collaborating with me on additional editing and presentation. My husband informed me that he was a "HUGE FAN" of the gift - and I think it took him by surprise.
