Enchanted Gardens is a beautiful barn and farm wedding venue located in New Hill, NC. This wondrous destination has been designed with the intention of immersing guests in nature during their most special celebrations.
This quintessential countryside venue offers a stunning backdrop of towering trees, a shimmering lake, and a stand-out red barn. With various spaces to utilize, you will be able to have the wedding day you have always dreamed of. Start with a ceremony on the lawn in front of the lake, with The Arbor standing behind you as you say your "I Dos." All your guests can watch on from their seats on the grass. When the vows are complete, everyone can journey inside The Big Barn, which can accommodate up to 200 people. Additionally, you can make use of The Veranda, which boasts over 6,000 square feet of event space, spend some time in the Grooming House, and even take pictures in the Photo House.

We recently held our wedding at Enchanted Gardens, and while the property itself is beautiful, our experience with the venue left much to be desired.

rgely because we were told we’d have flexible access to the venue throughout the weekend, especially since we were renting the on-site house. That flexibility was key for our small wedding party to stay together and celebrate in one place. We also understood that the rental included tables, chairs, speakers, microphones, and a venue coordinator — which made it feel like a good fit for our modest budget.
Unfortunately, the reality didn’t match what was promised. Communication leading up to the event was minimal, and the venue coordinator never introduced himself or stayed through the ceremony. During our walkthrough with the caterer, no one from the venue was present to clarify logistics, leaving us guessing about setup, parking, and prep areas.
We were also surprised to learn — just before the wedding — that we wouldn’t have 24-hour access (8AM-11PM) to the venue. This created a stressful timeline for setup and cleanup, especially since the space hadn’t been properly cleaned after the previous event. When we asked to return the next morning to finish cleanup, we were told no, despite the next event not starting until late afternoon. This hindered everyone's ability to truly enjoy themselves and celebrate.
Setup was delayed because tables weren’t arranged, nor did they have the number of tables we'd been informed of, and the microphone we’d confirmed that they had was missing. Electrical issues with outlets and lighting added to the stress, and there was no one available to help troubleshoot.
Cleanliness was another concern. The “Ladies Primp N Parlor” had drainage issues and wasn’t clean, the men’s area had spiders and leftover belongings, and my maid of honor was bitten by a bug in the restroom, leaving welts.
We shared this feedback privately with the venue, hoping for acknowledgment or resolution. Their response was polite but offered only a simple “we’ll review with our team.”
Ultimately, our wedding was wonderful because of the people around us — not because of the venue’s support. Enchanted Gardens has potential, but couples should be aware that the coordination, cleanliness, and communication may not meet expectations.
