Thank goodness for Fred and all his help with the music and schedule for our wedding! He was so incredibly helpful and accommodating for our wedding in Copper Harbor. I didn't have to worry about anything. He was very responsive via email and adjusted things as we needed, both before and during the wedding. We appreciate all the work he put in accommodating during the pandemic and helping make sure everyone remained safe, but still made sure we had fun, even with a small group.

Fred was a huge contributor to making our wedding day everything we dreamed of! Fred was a pleasure to work with as he facilitated open communication and was very timely, well-organized, and flexible. He took on the role of DJ, MC, and coordinator of our reception timeline. He went so far as to communicate with our other vendors including photographers, videographers, and event coordinator - a huge help to have everyone on the same page! I had a video of my dad and I singing that I wanted to use for our father-daughter dance and Fred made this possible by helping me convert this to an audio file which created a super special (and teary-eyed) moment. These are just a few examples of how Fred went above and beyond getting our guests out on the dance floor! We would highly recommend him to anyone.

Fred was by far one of the best vendors we worked with for our wedding! He is incredibly organized and knows his stuff! He was always quick to respond, and offered his help, expertise and opinions every step of the way. He kept things running smoothly throughout the evening and somehow got everyone on the dance floor, which was no small feat as we had a conservative group! He catered to everyone’s requests and an excellent time was had by all. Several of our guests even commented to us afterwards about how much they loved him!

Fred was amazing! I would highly recommend using his services for any event that you are looking to host, especially a wedding. He was very organized, provided the communication in a timely manner, and allowed us to have song requests. He was fair and honest with the pricing. Very professional, kept it fun and light, willing to work around our special requests for the evening. Played a great variety of music, which helped keep all age groups dancing :) I would also like to mention that he was more than a DJ for the night, he was also a MC for the night. This is important as a DJ typically just plays music but Fred helps to keep your event moves smoothly. We were very impressed with him! It was an absolute pleasure working with Fred Bishop. Not only did we have a lot of fun listening to his tunes on the day of our wedding, but also had an incredible experience leading up to the event. We were planning our wedding remotely and Fred was able to meet with us numerous times to talk about the flow of the reception and brought up details that we hadn't even thought of! He was gracious in working with us to figure out a plan when our event drew near and the projected weather was cold and raining. Luckily we had a beautiful, sunny day in the Upper Peninsula, but we took great comfort that had the rain started Fred had a plan of what to do. The day of our wedding reception Fred arrived early to ensure he had an ideal set-up, dressed to meet our guests attire, and throughout the event worked with the event staff and our wedding party to create a smooth flow of the event. Overall, we had such a wonderful experience working with Fred, Grant and I recommend him enthusiastically and without reservation.

We worked with Fred for our reception and he was nothing short of amazing! He was extremely professional, organized, and definitely knew what music to play to keep the party going - the dance floor was full the entire time! He was also the emcee for the evening, which was a huge relief for us, as we didn’t have to beg a friend or family member to do it, or hire someone else. We met with him about 2 months ahead of time to lay out the timeline of the reception & that helped ease any stress that I had about the day. He definitely played a huge role in our day. DJ Fred was so much fun! He started the party early and kept it going! He was incredibly easy to work with during the wedding planning process. His portal made it easy to keep details together during an otherwise complicated planning time. He was extremely responsive to emails and always was available to answer questions. He worked well with my other vendors and made sure everyone was on the same page. He went above and beyond the day-of the wedding and helped with the coordination of music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception. I was so grateful that Fred had all of the details together on a fun but crazy day. Where can I even start? My hubby and I were married March 29th, 2015. Fred was an absolute pleasure to work with. I gave him an extensive list of music from rock n roll, to funk, to classics, indie, you name it. He worked with me and my hubby to ensure the song choices were placed in appropriate times throughout the wedding day/night. Fred definitely exceeded any and all expectations I had of a DJ, this being my first time actually ever hiring a DJ. He was very thorough with helping me with the timeline for the evening and gave great advice and recommendations for song choices, time frames, etc. Not only did he give me the Bohemian Rhapsody sing along I asked for, (which went over VERY well) but he gave us a fantastic range of music for everyone. I don't think I took one step off that dance floor once he started playing. Not only did he rock us out, but he stayed true to the timeline and made sure we (bride and groom) knew what was going on and what we needed to be ready for. That was the biggest deal for me and he made my day calm in that sense. I never felt like I didn't know what was about to happen because he would find me and fill me in. I can't thank Fred enough for being so awesome, down to earth, and easy to get a hold of. I'm sure I had some dumb questions, but I never felt insecure in asking him anything. He is very quick to respond to any form of communication and all my guests raved about the song list. Some even asked me to email the song list to them because they had so much fun dancing. That says something. Fred is so much fun to work with and I can't recommend him any higher. Our day wouldn't have been as epic as it was if not for Fred. Fred was such an awesome DJ for our wedding! Right away when I met him, I felt at ease because he seemed so professional and knowledgeable about weddings. He helped with timeline feedback, worked so well with our coordinator, and kept people dancing the entire evening! I got a lot of compliments about how fun the music was, and he kept the events flowing well. He was funny, articulate, and we are just so happy we chose him for our big day. His online system of creating your playlists is super easy to use, and he had all our songs already in his library (our music was a lot of pop/top 40/country). We booked him for ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception music, and it was perfect. He is very reasonably priced, and gets back to you so so fast via email or text. His set up is very sleek, and he uses the BOSE speakers, which were awesome. Can't say enough great things; thank you Fred for a fantastic day!

We had a small wedding with me as the wedding planner and I have to say we couldn't have done it with out Fred. He was very professional, well organized and spent a lot of time with us and on our event. The music was perfect and he was great at keeping the night going. He stepped in when we needed someone to organize people for our exit and he was johnny on the spot with mics when we needed it. We had a great wedding and everyone there said it was the best party they had been too. Thanks to Fred!

Fred totally killed it at our wedding. You can tell that this is a man that knows how to read a crowd and crank out the tunes they'll be happiest dancing too, and we danced all night! Leading up to our event, he was always super easily accessible and attentive to our wishes. Given our eclectic taste and nerdy video game theme, he was delighted to expand his already expansive music collection to include all of our crazy requests (the majority of our selections were new to him). He's also equipped to provide music in more than one location at a time without having to move any gear, in our case indoor during the ceremony and reception as well as outdoor on the patio, which really set the mood for our cocktail hour. In addition to his stellar DJ service, he also acted as master of ceremony to keep our wedding and reception on schedule. That saved me the hassle and expense of hiring a day of coordinator, so his value really shot through the roof.

I cannot say enough about Fred. From helping us out with the timeline a couple weeks before, to editing our first dance song, he knew exactly how to do everything! One of my friends played the harp at our wedding, and he was able to help hook her up so she could be heard for the processional. He suggested many good songs for the ceremony music and knew all the funny traditions. He took requests but also played the songs that we put in our must play list. Somehow he was able to transition smoothly from traditional dance party music, to salsa music, to country music. There was not a time the whole night where the dance floor wasn't jammed pack! He announced everything and kept the wedding flowing and on time. Not only was he great to work with, but I didn't have to worry about him one bit because he had every single detail down before the wedding. He brought and set up his own table and speakers and everything, and moved it all from the ceremony to the reception without any extra cost (like I found most DJ's charge). Everything was included in his rate, and he quickly responded to any email I sent him, no matter what time of the night. I wouldn't go with anyone else- I couldn't be happier! :)

Dj Fred was the BEST! He had a large task trying to keep everyone happy. My wedding guest span 3generations, cultures, from all parts of the country. He figured out a way to play country hip hop dance tejano and whatever else they suggested all in 5 hours and kept everyone dancing. We loved him!

Fred was very professional since we first talked to him. He was very well organized and his website was very helpful when we needed ideas. We took a while to fill out his questionnaire because we were so busy,but he was very patient with us. He helped us choose music and gave us great suggestions for the bouquet and garter toss that had people laughing. My husband and I don't dance much, but Fred has us on the dance floor the entire time despite my aching feet. He was a great addition to our wedding and we are so glad that we booked him. I can truly say that Fred exceeded my expectations from day one. From the moment of our first conversation, I had confidence in his dependability,reliability and being in touch with the latest and greatest music/technology. The month prior to our wedding Fred touched base with me first and was on top of making sure everything was planned out for our reception. We exchanged emails several times over the course of the last few weeks prior to our wedding. Finally, during the reception, he worked with my bridesmaids and other guests to make sure that he was playing the music they wanted to hear. I was incredibly happy with the level of service we received from Fred at Encore Entertainment. For me, music was the most intimidating part of the planning process, so it was crucial to find someone that had the experience and confidence to guide us through that part of the process. It was obvious from the start that Fred was honest, experienced and would be the perfect combination of patient and pushy: giving me time and space to make decisions while carefully reminding me that time was slipping away. The ceremony and reception came together perfectly and we couldn't have done it without Fred. The playlist was varied and well-organized, the announcements to the guests were professional and well-timed, and the correspondence leading up to the event was honest and accommodating.

Fred was great! He was very affordable for us, responded quickly to emails and even texts, and met with us twice before the wedding (first with both my fiance and I, secondly with just my fiance since something came up for me) to discuss details. I wasn't looking for an entertainer or someone to be on the microphone a lot. I communicated these expectations and that I wanted someone to keep music playing, play a few songs, keep people dancing, etc. Fred absolutely met my expectations and requests. He brought all his equipment, got there quite early to set up and make sure everything was good, and even played a song for our ceremony exit (which I requested just a couple weeks before the wedding). Excellent vendor!

Our photographer referred us to Encore Entertainment and she couldn't have been more RIGHT! Our DJ, Fred kept everything on time and the music was perfect. I continually hear that my daughter and her husbands wedding was the best wedding they had ever been to and they had tons of fun. That's a huge compliment. I believe it was because of the music! We chose Fred with Encore Entertainment for our vow renewal at the Plantation House. Fred was absolutely great throughout the entire process, and was always responsive. Encore Entertainment was great! He met with us in person to introduce himself and tell us about his services. We could tell he is knowledgeable about DJing at weddings. He is services are VERY affordable and the service is great! He responded to emails promptly and is open to answering any questions. He made sure his music library had the specific songs that we wanted played at our wedding. We met with him a few weeks before the wedding to go over the timeline so he knew what the day would look like starting from the ceremony to when my husband and I left the building in our town car. We did not have a wedding planner or coordinator which worked out fine because he made sure everything happened at the right time during the reception (toasts, special dances, cake cutting, bouquet toss, etc.). He handled the music for our ceremony and timed every song perfectly. He has suggestions for fun things to add in your reception to get people off their feet or laughing. He suggested we do an anniversary dance and our guests loved it. We had a BLAST at our wedding and got some many positive comments back from our guest saying how much fun they had and how smoothly it went. He played a great selection of music that kept our guests on the dance floor. He is very professional and I would recommend him to any bride or anyone needing a DJ for an event.

Fred did an excellent job with our wedding!! He is very kind and sincerely cares about making your wedding day special. We had a multicultural wedding and our families spoke different languages and had very different musical tastes. Fred kept everyone happy and dancing all night! I decided 3 weeks before my wedding to hire a dj. I was planning on doing an iPod wedding but decided it was too stressful. Fred was amazing! He made sure my husbands playlist was played during the cocktail hour. My husband was very worried about having a cheesy dj and Fred was definitely not! We couldn't have been happier.

Fred the DJ at my wedding was fantastic! He announced when everything would take place ie: cake cutting, toasts, first dance, bouquet toss etc etc. He really goes above and beyond what a normal DJ would do. He made the entire reception go very smoothly so I didn't have to worry and think about anything. He played the music I suggested, everyone had a great time. He also was very accommidating as I had a reception inside and also outside so he set up two tables and two speakers so people outside could hear as well as those inside. Fred Bishop did a wonderful job at our wedding. He met with me before to make sure he had special songs and names correct, and he announced everything perfectly the day of. He was dressed to the nines and very easygoing. His pricing is super reasonable, which was helpful. The music during dinner was just as I imagined, and he improvised some in the reception which worked for the party. We didn't want a dj who'd be showing off or talking the whole time, and so we loved that Fred was discreet and simply played music to compliment our wedding.

Fred with Encore Entertainment was our DJ for our wedding and he made everything so easy! I had a lot of questions in the beginning and knew what I was looking for in a DJ but was struggling to find that person until I spoke with Fred. He was always available to answer my questions and very patient. When initially searching for our DJ I spoke with several companies and quickly realized that Fred really knows what he is talking about. Fred was very easy to work with. It was very convenient to be able to just go online and add songs as I thought of them. He made the planning go a whole lot easier and it was nice to know he had it all under control. At our wedding there was no moment where the dance floor did not have someone on it dancing. He definitely went above and beyond what a DJ normally does and included a mic and speakers for the ceremony and toasts, as well as music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and the reception, all included in the price!!! Fred did a great job at my wedding. He came to my venue in advance to plan out the entire ceremony. His online system was great to add any and every song you wanted played. He went and bought the songs I wanted that he did not have. He was great at keeping the wedding on time and moving along. He was very professional and listened to our requests. My daughter and her fiance hired Fred as the DJ for their wedding - and he was such a fantastic choice!! Fred worked with them on their preferred music styles and specific song choices, and obtained recordings of every song they asked for - everything from Frank Sinatra to hard rock, from Christian bands to rap, and even traditional cultural pieces they used for some of the reception activities. As far as how the reception itself went, I can tell you Fred really knows how to keep a party MOVING! He seems to have unlimited energy - and really knows how to read the guests and keep things mixed up so there is never a lull moment. It was so nice to be able to sit back and have him take control of 'leading the party' - so my only job as mother of the bride was to focus on the guests and have a great time, which I certainly did :-) Thank you, Fred!

Fred was so great to work with!! He helped us to get our time line together (we had no clue what we were doing!) and kept us on track throughout the day! We didn't have a coordinator, just family and friends, so this was really great. Of all of the vendors that I worked with, including rental equipment, florist, caterer, and venue, he was the best to communicate with. We also had a snafu with another vendor which caused our schedule to go awry, and he just rolled with the punches and made sure that everything still happened, just maybe at a different time of day. Our outdoor wedding was on the hottest day in April, ever, and he still got people out on the dance floor, and we are not a dancing crowd.
