He blended our song requests seamlessly and added his own touch that made the energy incredible. Guests are still telling us how fun the night was and how great the DJ was! eremony. Positives: The Energy Event Group is undoubtedly skilled at starting a party. Darnell was very amiable and maintained an extremely positive attitude throughout the evening. He did a fantastic job getting everyone up and moving to start the evening. Negatives: When we looked back on our day at the conclusion of the night, we discovered that many of the reception items we had requested were missing. Before the wedding, all couples are required to complete a lengthy planning form provided by the Energy Event Group. We indicated in this planning form that we wanted to play a particular playlist that we had created and sent them, one for the cocktail hour and another for when the dance floor opened. Out of the 140 songs offered, probably 4 or 5 of them were played during the evening. My husband included a particular song to the playlist, but even though the he himself asked for it the night of the wedding, it was never played. “I got you, for sure!” was the comment he received, upon request and it was simply never played during the evening. Amongst the forms, you can choose "yes" or "no" to a few line dances and a "do NOT play" section. On all of them, I chose "no," with the exception of "Wobble," which was played. I found myself leaving the bridal room later that night to the sound of the cupid shuffle blaring from the speakers, but it was marked a huge NO on the forms. Before the reception, it's important to keep in mind that we were more than twenty minutes ahead of schedule the entire day, including after the ceremony. At the appointed entrance time, we had a meeting with our DJ and wedding party to discuss the specifics concerning the entrances, including how they would proceed. This meeting was prolonged for what I believed to be unnecessary reasons, pushing us past our allotted time by thirty minutes, only to be done incorrectly. We did not start entrances until the time all other vendors and guests were promised supper would be served. Our reentrances were followed shortly by our first dances. You can add a song from an outside source to the forms if they don't have it; we did this for my husband's dance with his mother. He requested Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide," so we uploaded it and checked its accuracy by listening to it. Instead of the radio version that we uploaded, we received a live concert version with applause from the audience, which was just not what we had hoped for. We, as a couple, place a great deal of importance on music, therefore we asked our guests to contribute songs that would keep them dancing throughout the night, to the playlist, but they were not played. We even left a comment stating that if the DJ had to deviate from what we provided, to pursue a comparable feel and it simply wasn't offered, we are quite saddened by this. We spent the majority of the evening away from the dance floor with our guests because the music did not really fit the mood of either the guests or us as a couple. The night did go on and some guests did get to a few songs here and there, but overall it wasn’t what we expected. We had high hopes for such a well-regarded company, and after investing a great deal of money, time, and effort, we were left feeling disappointed and dissatisfied.

It’s set up so that guests can send the picture right to their phone to keep. We also got a copy of everyone’s photos they took a few days after to look through, so fun! The lighting for the Photo Booth was SPECTACULAR! I also loved that Jason had tricky/creative ways to get people back onto the dance floor to keep the party going. Jason listened to what we wanted and did not want through the planning portion and carried it successfully through the reception.

When I think back to our dance there was not a moment someone wasn't dancing! He is one of those DJ's that make it hard to leave the floor because he just keeps it going and reads the crowd!!

His fun energy even had non-dancers tearing up the dance floor all night and loving it!! After finding out one of our guests had recently gotten married, Jason made sure to play their first dance song for them. He customized the party to the guests and made it fun for everyone. We especially knew every penny that we spent was worth it, when Jason posted a reel of the first look with my dad and our first look as husband and wife. We weren’t able to get a videographer, but this video was everything we could’ve ever wanted and just another example of how Jason is more than just a DJ. Thank you Jason and EEG!! The Livingstons🤍

Jason is knowledgeable about the wedding business and he will help your day and ideas come to life. We got married in July, and still to this day in December, we have friend's and family that still talk about how epic our wedding dance was. We now even have friends that will have him as their wedding DJ per an amazing experience at our own wedding. School prevented me from giving Jason a detailed list of everything on my mind. Jason took my ideas and created the best of my husband and I's lives. He has a great reputation with a lot of local venues, caters and photographers so you can trust he will work seamlessly with your other vendors. Jason was easy to get ahold of, quick to respond and professional (and very fun). We got so many compliments at the wedding about his amazing work. Jason ensure smooth sailing from the moment the guests arrived at the ceremony to the final song. I had a specific request to have "Mr. Brightside" be a special, hype moment and he made it happen - it will be a moment I'll never forget. I am still blown away at how incredible he was and cannot recommend him enough. No need to look at other DJ's because Jason is your guy.

as a no-brainer I wanted them for our wedding. We booked Jason in July for our May 2023 wedding. He checked in multiple times throughout those nine months. I would easily say he was the most "hands-on" vendor we had. On the day of he arrived early to set up and check in with us. Later that night he kept the party going until closing time. It was genuinely the most fun I've had at a wedding but I might be a little biased. Jason was constantly capturing the fun and I love the playback on social media, especially since we didn't get a videographer. Thanks, Jason from EEG for being the perfect wedding DJ!

He was so good about keeping out needs first throughout the planning process. On the day of, he was energetic, fun, and really knew how to keep the dance floor packed!! Seriously. If you want a crowded dance floor and happy wedding guests, EEG is the way to go. You won't be disappointed! Make sure you spring for the photo booth. Many people said it was a highlight of the night for them. It's a fun way to bring out the silly side in your guests while also making memories and giving them something to take home to remember from the night. I would rate my entire experience with Jason and EEG an 11 out of 10! Very satisfied!
