ENGAGE Premarital Counseling

We're both extremely happy that we decided to do our counseling with Erica at ENGAGE. Prior to counseling, we already had good conflict resolution and communication skills, but I believe when you're committing your life to someone, you can never have too much help. :) Erica was so professional, kind, and helpful. She provided us with a ton of great insight and asked a lot of thoughtful questions to help us work through things about our future (such as finances and children) that we hadn't discussed at length yet. We came away with so many great resources and talking points and both feel like she helped us flesh out a lot of our discussions in really productive ways.

My fiancee and I had the privilege of working with Erica for the 300-minute package! She was continually kind and supportive, and provided helpful feedback throughout the whole process. Definitely would recommend her to help you in your premarital preparation!

We really enjoyed working with Megan for our premarital counseling. I felt that the Engage questionnaire highlighted the strengths and growth areas in our relationship, and Megan was able to guide our conversations about the more tricky subjects in a way that made it possible for us to be honest and straightforward with each other. I appreciated her open personality, and they way she was willing to be frank with us throughout the process. She always responded promptly to our emails, and was able to be flexible with our schedules and financial situation. I thought premarital counseling was an important piece for us in planning our wedding, as it carved out time in our crazy schedules to really focus on ourselves as a couple and what we want moving forward as a married couple. I would definitely recommend Megan to any couple looking to really explore and build up their relationship.

My fiance Stephen and I knew that we wanted to complete a series of pre-marital counseling sessions before our wedding next year, and it was very important to us that we work with a counselor whose style fit with our agnostic beliefs and egalitarian relationship. It can be tough to find engagement counseling services that are not bent to one extreme or another, but we eventually found our Goldilocks counselor in Megan: while not affiliated with one denomination, she does have a theology background and understands the value of spirituality that Stephen and I share. Our time with Megan was thought-provoking and peace-bringing. She was an excellent facilitator of honest, open communication--never judgmental or patronizing, she asked questions with the purpose of helping us find the answers for ourselves. We came away from counseling with a stronger understanding of our strengths as a couple (communication, independence), our areas that could use improvement (finances, stress management), and the tools necessary to actively work on them. My fiancée and I decided to enroll in a few premarital counseling sessions before our wedding, more so to verify that we both had a good and solid foundation before our wedding day. We didn't know exactly what to expect, but Megan was an excellent counselor! She is a great listener and provided really great(useful) advice and insight. What was most comforting is that our sessions with Megan felt like we were speaking with a really good friend with an objective view which yielded really great feedback. Even since our wedding, we've decided to do follow-up sessions every now and again!

I highly recommend working with Megan for your premarital counseling sessions...you will absolutely love her sincerity and open-minded attitude! My now-husband and I have been living together for 3 years and thought we knew everything about one another. Megan did a wonderful job finding the areas we needed to focus on and giving us tools to increase our communication. We've already decided to schedule a few "check-in" appointments over the next few years to keep our relationship strong.
