Enigma Photography

You will be LUCKY if you are able to get Enigma to photograph your wedding. Enigma Photography is an incredible company with thoughtful, artistic, talented, and relaxing photographers (I wrote "relaxing," because they have a calming effect on you). The wedding process is so wonderful, as it pilots you and your husband/wife into marriage, but it can be stressful planning and working out the details. Enigma erases stress and adds in confidence and joy, because you know that your wedding pictures, some of the most important pictures, are going to be excellent. There was not an ounce of worry about the pictures I would receive and that made me able to enjoy the wedding day with my new husband, family, and friends. I was incredibly grateful that Enigma took my wedding pictures and would absolutely hire them again.

My Husband and I love all of the photos from Enigma! We had the pleasure of working with Aaron for our engagement photos and then both Aaron and Jeremy during our wedding. They are both wonderful! We would recommend them to anyone! Both of them take the time to scout out places at the location for great pictures, which was important for us. They have great ideas and pictures are wonderful quality!

Enigma Photography offers the best value by far! Our package was just under $3,000 and included an engagement shoot, extensive bridal portraits session, free 11x15 print, a gallery of over 1,000 photos from our big day (AND rehearsal), as well as our very own video montage. I found this to be highly unusual among the countless other photographers I viewed in Virginia. My husband and I felt immediately comfortable working with Jeremy. He was very personable and down-to-earth. He was gave us very helpful and clear direction during the shoots, but was also open to our own ideas. Another reason we chose to hire Enigma Photography was because of their journalistic style. We were turned off by the now popular technique of excessive editing and blurring to the point where it doesn't even look like the person anymore. Our pictures from Enigma are beautiful and real. The highlight our day just as it was, only through artful eyes. Finally, Jeremy was excellent at corresponding through emails, phone calls, and even texts. He was diligent to keep us updated throughout the process of getting the pictures back to us--which took just two weeks! I highly recommend Enigma Photography!

I loved working with Jeremy for my bridal portraits and wedding day photography. Jeremy helped us pick a package where we got all we wanted and stayed in budget. I am not into pictures in general (don't take or keep them), but now I am SO glad I did a bridal shoot (which he recommended). As soon as we got there, Jeremy was so excited--he kept saying that these are his favorite to do--that it made me completely not nervous and just have fun! Our wedding day was the same--joking around to get comfortable, but professionally sticking sharply to my timetable. He and Zachary listened to my requests, but I had no idea what to do or where to go for pictures when the day ended up being rainy and humid outside! They kept the whole thing under control and I trusted their direction completely. I also better mention they traveled to Charlotte, NC for my wedding which was awesome. Highly recommend Enigma, good product and great people!

Enigma Photography did a fantastic job of shooting our wedding! Aaron and Jeremy both took pictures for our day and we couldn't be happier with the results. We have some great candid shots as well as posed shots. They were both super easy and fun to work with and put us at ease immediately! Our pictures were done within several weeks of the wedding and they sent all of them to us on thumb drives. I had over a thousand pictures to peruse :D! I am so happy to be able to easily print anything I want. I would recommend this company to anyone and everyone!

Choosing Aaron from Enigma as our photographer was the best decision we could have made while planning our wedding. He went out of his way to meet us for our initial consultation in our hometown, which was ~4 hours from the venue (while he was on the road). He made time to shoot our engagement photos over a holiday weekend, which was the only time we could manage with our busy schedules. He came to our wedding rehearsal and was more than ready on the big day. His photos were absolutely amazing. We can't believe how well he captured our special day. Our family and friends were very impressed with his professionalism, and we could NOT be happier with his work. He gets an A+ from us! The packages Enigma offers are also amazing - you receive digital copies of all of your photos for no added fee, so you can make prints, canvases, photo books, etc. without paying crazy fees. We highly recommend Enigma for any professional photography needs!

Our experience with Enigma Photography was nothing less than pure joy ! They were so professional, but so kind and caring and worked so hard to make sure it was the most unforgettable day in our daughter's life and in the life of her one true love ,Eric.Suffice it to say, they succeeded beyond our wildest dreams ! About six weeks before the wedding, my daughter Taylor was the victim of a school shooting and had a very serious wound on her left hand. Her entire hand was bandaged and wrapped and supported in a splint/brace. Knowing and being sympathetic that it was not exactly how a bride wants to walk down the aisle, or how she wants to be photographed for her Bridal Portraits, Jeremy and Aaron were gentle and creative. They worked with her, encouraged her and allowed her the freedom to express herself with her own beauty and grace.Knowing that they didn't have to hide her injury entirely, they placed her flowers and special items in a way that didn't spotlight it either. Working with Jeremy and Aaron was easy and natural. They didn't ever pressure us and it was never about them! They became family, and they allowed us all to have fun while snapping memories that will last a lifetime. It was a beautiful experience. It was a memorable experience. It was the most unforgettable and beautiful day in our daughter's life, in all of our lives ; and if the whole story were told, that was exactly what Taylor and Eric needed .It was what we all needed and it definitely was what we all got ! Thank you Enigma. You are the best and we are so very glad and grateful that you were there and because of your love of photography and your God given talents, we will remember this day always!

They are the best photographers I have ever worked with. They quality of their work is stellar. They make everyone feel as ease during the picture taking. They are prompt and professional. And, on top of everything else, they are so much fun. Without hesitation, I would highly recommend Enigma Productions to anyone in need of a photographer.

They did a great job! Enigma even took more pictures than what the contract stated. Also, they were very relaxed and open to ideas for pictures. Everyone from the parents, bridal party, my wife and I enjoyed them. They made us laugh to help us relax on our beautiful but busy day, and it was fun getting pictures taken. Also, every time we got pictures back, whether they were engagement, bridal, rehearsal, or wedding pictures, everyone loved them and complimented on how lovely and great they were. I would highly recommend them for a wedding. Trust me; the price is great and so is their service. They are the best around; no company does photography better.

I would highly recommend Enigma Photography not only for their incredible talent, but also for their great personalities. When you consider the amount of time that you spend intimately with your photographer, you want to be sure that you are surrounding yourself with positive and fun-loving people on such an important, joyous, yet nerve-racking day. Aaron's incredible sense of humor had us laughing hysterically, making for great candid photos. It's easy to quickly build rapport with these photographers, resulting in inside jokes to ease your stress the day of, and reassuring phone calls when feeling panicked weeks before the wedding. Our package included an engagement photo session, two photographers the day of the wedding, and rights to all of our photos. My only regret is that I didn't go for the package that included videographry. Our engagement photos were really fun to shoot and gave us some adorable pictures to use for our "save the dates". Aaron and Caitlin were with us for the entirety of our wedding day. Both of our photographers maintained a positive attitude through being squeezed into a limo for an hour-long car ride, to sticking around for our sparkler exit in a downpour that resembled a monsoon! They took TONS of photos that our guests are enjoying on our online gallery (provided by Enigma). We couldn't be more pleased with these two incredibly talented and fun individuals and the stunning photographs that they provided! I highly recommend this photography company and suggest going for their most comprehensive packages... you won't regret it!

Jeremy was wonderful to work with. We did all of our planning through email, which was very convenient. We had 2 photographers for the entire night. I was impressed with their efficiency and ability to work with my completely disorganized family, and they managed to catch photos of even our shyest family members! All of our photos were loaded onto a website for us to access, and they sent us 2 jump drives loaded with photos. The photos are beautiful!

We could not have been happier with Jeremy and Aaron! They started with us at the rehearsal and were there for all the big moments through the formal exit from the reception. We quickly developed a great rapport with the guys, and we can't wait to recommend them to friends and siblings with upcoming weddings!!! Jeremy spend the afternoon with the ladies and Aaron was able to wrangle the guys during that time, as well. LOVE THEM!!!

We worked with Jeremy as our photographer from Enigma and he was great to work with! He made everyone feel at ease and did a good job running through our list of must have shots. We wanted to get a group shot of everyone that was there for the ceremony and he worked with us at the rehearsal to figure out the best way to make that happen (it turned out to be one of our favorite photos). We received our usb of photos about 6 weeks after the wedding-right when promised. He took some GREAT photos! He was very easy to work with and we are very happy. The "posed" shots of the wedding party etc turned out awesome. I do wish he would have captured more random candid shots of guests and the dancing-although I know this is partially because he was following us (bride and groom) around most of the time. We have yet to pick our photos for the album but based on the ease of working with Enigma we have had so far, I think it will all go really well. I think the tough part is going to be picking the pictures to use! I really like that he gave us a good amount of black and white photos as well.

Aaron was our photographer for our wedding and he was beyond fabulous. He took all of my considerations into concern and he made sure to get all of those special shots that I wanted. The pictures are absolutely beautiful - he has a great eye! He mingled well with our guests and felt like a welcomed presence to all at the wedding. After the ceremony was over, my new husband leaned over and said, "You know what I never noticed during the ceremony? Aaron!" He was not obtrusive at all and I'm really amazed at how he got such good shots when I never even noticed him there. :) These guys are true professionals - they listened to our concerns and answered all of out questions in a timely manner. The price was exactly where we needed it to be, and the quality of work blows me (and everyone else!) away whenever they see our photos. Working with them was an absolute pleasure, and we're so glad that we chose them to be with us on our special day.

My wife Jen and I got married in July and had such a great experience with Aaron and Jeremy! We started with the engagement picures with Aaron which turned out great. I am not the type of guy to jump into a photoshoot, but Aaron turned that experience in to such a great time and we were extremely happy with how they turned out! They are both so easy to work with, fun, and have everything completely under control. Since there was so much going on with family and friends it was great how they took the lead to get some great pictures. Aaron was able to work out just the right package for us and was flexible enough so we got exactly what we wanted. It was great to work with people so down to earth and professional at the same time. Everything about our wedding day was perfect and Enigma Photography did nothing but make it better. The memories captured were absolutely perfect and helped us remember each part of our special day. My husband and I could not have asked for better photographers. As any bride knows, it is a really stressful experience to plan a wedding. However, once we chose Enigma we both felt confident that we picked the best and were worry-free. Jeremy and Aaron were professional, flexible, and fun to work with. Jeremy also shot our engagement sessions (even in the snow!) and my bridal portraits. We are beyond happy with all of our pictures and the memories we will hold in them forever.

My outdoor wedding photos from September and bridal shots look absolutely amazing thanks to Jeremy. I didn't have any specific idea or picture poses, which I was afraid would be a hindrance, but Jeremy was able to catch the most beautiful natural poses of me, my husband, and all our friends and family. He was laid back, which made me feel so much better because our families are huge and everywhere, but he didn't seemed remotely agitated at any point, in fact, he's a lot of fun to work with, not pushy at all, which helped us to relax and look even more natural in the photos. I was first impressed with Enigma when I met them for my friend's wedding that I was a bridesmaid in back in 3/2012, which inspired me to meet with them. I love working with Jeremy, and so did my bridesmaids, and now, my maid of honor is planning on working with them for her upcoming nuptials as well.

After doing a ton of research we decided on Enigma and couldn't be happier with their work! Aaron and his team did a great job leading up to the wedding, on the day of and afterwards. They were fun to work with, very professional and organized and our pictures turned out just amazing! Lots of creativity and energy - couldn't recommend them more!

My husband and I used Enigma as our wedding photographer and couldn't have been happier with the results! I researched a ton of different photographers, but after meeting with Aaron I knew Enigma was the best around! He met with us the Wednesday before our wedding so that I could show him a few special pictures that I wanted and from there he took over and did a phenomenal job. With all the stresses of planning a wedding and the chaos on the actual wedding day, it's so important to have a photographer that you can trust to do a good job and that's exactly what Engima did! Aaron made us feel very comfortable, and blended in very well at our wedding and reception. Our bridal party loved him! We had our engagement pictures done in Blacksburg, VA and were planning our wedding in that area when we first hired Enigma Photography, but ended up deciding to have the wedding in my hometown five hours from Blacksburg in the middle of wedding planning. My new husband and I were very impressed with Enigma! They did both our engagement photos and wedding photos this October. They were very professional but still had a natural and comfortable vibe. Their journalistic style fit perfectly with what we were looking for and we are very pleased with how the photos that we have seen have come out. I would recommend Enigma to anyone planning a wedding as they have very reasonable prices but very high quality photos. They even make being in front of a lens fun! One of the things I was set on while planning our wedding was outstanding photography, as photos are the part of the wedding that you keep (besides your spouse!), and with Enigma, I defiantly got what I wanted.

I initially went with Enigma because a friend had said good things about them and they were affordable. I was extremely pleased with these guys and everything they did. We went with two photographers for the day and video of the ceremony. In our package we also had engagement photos. I love that we were able to do those because we got used to Aaron and how he worked. Both Aaron and Jeremy were with us on our wedding day along with an assistant. Everyone loved how noninvasive both guys were. They didn't take us away for too long to do photos but we still got a lot done. They are extremely efficient, hard working and yet fun to be around. They do creative photos and make taking pictures easy for everyone involved. I am so happy I went with this company. No complaints, only praise!

these guys are very creative and work very well. My husband and I incorporated our motorcycle into our wedding photos and Jeremy had some awesome ideas with poses. We were extremely happy with their work and professionalism.

Aaron was super accommodating and made sure that I got exactly what I wanted with my photos. This included doing a bridal shoot outside on the coldest day of January. He was an absolutely awesome photographer who really fit in well with my guests and bridal party. We had so much fun working with him. He even went so far as to give us a refund on part of our package price for being active duty military. How many photographers would have done that after you had payed??

Jeremy really listened and responded to what we wanted. Their office is in Blacksburg and we live in Virginia Beach, but you would have never known the difference b/c he was in constant communication! We even got both photographers even though we only paid for one! They were both fantastic.

We had Jeremy do our photos. He was absolutely amazing! Very easy to work with and flexible. He exceeded both of our expectations both in the quality of the prints and in how much fun we had along the way. We got three unlocked CDs of all the pictures he took which was amazing because we got to go back through and pick out our favorites and the moments that were most special to us.

Aaron was wonderful to work with and produced such lovely photography. They are based out of Blacksburg but our wedding was in Roanoke and he had no trouble travelling to us. At the time of our wedding, the base package included no time limit, coverage of the rehearsal in addition to the ceremony and reception, and full rights to our photos! We paid the extra fee to have a second photographer and she was also wonderful and professional. Compared to other photographers we looked at, we got way more for the money paid, and the pictures were BEAUTIFUL. Not only were they a great deal, but Aaron was such a nice, fun guy to work with. I definitely recommend Enigma!

We recently used Enigma for our wedding and rehearsal in October and we had a wonderful experience. Jeremy was wonderful to work with. He had a great sense of humor and was completely undemanding. He was efficient with all of the group shots (which can sometimes be the most painful part), and the photos that we received back were wonderful. He was also able to capture several other candid moments during the event that I will cherish always. I would highly recommend Enigma to anyone looking for quality photos for their event.
