ENSO is an urban winery on SE Stark, ten minutes from downtown Portland. We make about 500 cases a year in the barrel room where you'll say your vows.
Weddings here run small and private. You get the full space for eight hours, with everything included: barrel room, tasting lounge, tables, chairs, glassware, and a staffed bar pouring wine we make on site. Up to 80 seated, 120 standing, more seated with rented tables and chairs. One wedding a day, so the space stays yours from setup to last call.
The rental is $3,000 flat, with no other fees beyond drinks and food. Design the bar around what your guests like to drink, hosted or no-host. Bring your own caterer and florist. We set up, flip the room between ceremony and reception, and clean up after.
We make the wine here, and most weekends the winemaker pours your glasses behind the bar. Couples tell us that's what sold them.

Ryan Sharp
Owner + Winemaker
Ryan Sharp is the winemaker and owner of ENSO, the urban winery he opened in SE Portland's Buckman neighborhood in 2011. He came to wine by way of music, a touring musician and graphic designer who fell for the craft tasting through Napa, Sonoma, and the Sierra Foothills, then moved north and trained at Chemeketa to make wine in the city instead of the hills.
He built ENSO small on purpose: hand-crafted, old-world-style wines made in the same room where couples now say their vows. On most wedding weekends you'll find him behind the bar, pouring the wine he made and making sure your day runs the way you pictured it.
He's the maker, the host, and the person who answers your email.

Amazing tasting! We thought the wines were fantastic, and the whole experience / setting was fab. Outdoor seating, 5 wine tastes for $20, served on a beaut wooden board. Highly highly recommend a tasting here when in Portland.

This place convinced me Oregon has the best wine in the country. I had a flight of their most popular wines and loved every single one. Friendly staff, rustic, spacious environment, amazing wine.

Fantastic event space for my daughter's bridal shower for 20 people. Ryan, the owner, went the extra mile several times to ensure we had what we needed, and that our event was a success. And the wine and nonalcoholic drinks were superb! The v...
ibe was casual, yet attractive and festive. I would use ENSO again for a party in a heartbeat.

Not many actually wineries produce their own wines within the Portland city limits, but ENSO does. Great place to stop before a concert at Revolution Hall or great date night spot. Delicious wines!
