Mike was our DJ for our wedding last November. He was recommended by our wedding planner and a couple of our friends. His price was really great, especially for the high quality of service he provided. Working with him was very easy and straightforward. He made recommendations on our timeline and made sure we had the right music chosen for the ceremony and reception. Included in his fee was set up and take down. Everything was very easy. He DJ’d during our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. He was always on time and was very professional and a nice man to work with. Most importantly got our guests to dance and have a good time! He was very sweet to our guests as well. A few of them went up to him with special song requests and he happily played them. We’re so happy we booked with Mike, I couldn’t recommend him any higher.

Mike Hogan is your man for a wedding DJ!! He is so kind, extremely quick to respond to emails and utterly amazing. He got everyone dancing and kept them dancing all night! I asked for specific music during my ceremony and Mike delivered no problem. We had pink uplighting provided by Mike and I'm so glad we did! He transformed our reception room. Mike DJed for our wedding in July of 2016. My husband and I got his name as a referral from a friend and met with him about a year before our wedding to go over the type of wedding we were wanting. We also talked several times the month of the wedding and he event helped splice together my mixed father daughter dance. We loved how he also acted as an MC and is extremely professional and fun! He definitely is experienced when it comes to working weddings.

Mike DJed our December wedding in Balboa Park and he was great! All of our guests commented on how great he was at reading the crowd and playing a great mix of music. He was very accommodating and did a great job listening to our requests. We couldn't have asked for anything better.

Mike did such a great job with the music and the lighting for our wedding last month!! Even though we had a relatively small group with a lot of older people I didn't think would be tearing up the dance floor, we had a great party, and all thanks to the fantastic music! Mike played a great mix of older and newer upbeat songs that got everyone out on the dance floor, as well as just the right amount of slow songs. I am NOT a good dancer but I managed to dance most of the evening, and even my husband was dancing (which was a huge surprise!). Everyone had a great time, and Mike was patient with a few requests ("What Does the Fox Say") that ended up being a great success. He even threw in an Alkaline Trio song for my husband and I, even though it's not usually wedding music! The lighting was also great! I didn't spend much of the wedding looking at the lighting, but I think it really suited the mood and the room. Mike kept the whole evening flowing smoothly and gave our whole crowd (small as it was) an awesome experience. Thank you again Mike!!!

I spoke to Mike Hogan for the first time at our consultation a couple of weeks before the wedding, though we had booked him months before. My husband and I have an eclectic taste in music, and some of the songs while common I had specific versions of them I wanted for the wedding. My husband dropped the CD of our wedding music off to him just a few days before the wedding, and everything went off without a hitch! The lighting was wonderful at the reception, and he kept things going as long as we were all able to keep up. He even managed to play a special song for my mom before she and my aunt had to call it quits for the night, which she and my husband danced to, which was great! Just yesterday (the day we went and got our wedding photos from the photographer), we got a card in the mail from him, which included some of the photos he'd taken of our wedding. I thought that was a real great touch and not something you would expect to get from a vendor.

Mike was great to work with! We only met with Mike one time, but we were assured that the music would be great. We were not disappointed the day of the wedding. Mike had provided us with several pages of music that he could play during our reception. Two weeks before the wedding we sent him an email listing the music we did not want played and music we did want. Mike played our requested songs and also added some of his choices. All the music was great! Thank you Mike!!

Mike is easy to work with and really knows how to read a crowd and keep a party going. He made sure our wedding reception stayed on track from our entrance, through dinner, the first dance, father/daughter dance, cake cutting, and everything else! The whole evening was seamless thanks to Mike.

He was running everything in the background and make things run very smoothly, especially the reception.;Can be a little pricey, but worth it.
