We wanted musicians for our ceremony and cocktail hour, and the Boston String Quartet was a perfect fit for our romantic and intimate ceremony. The musicians did a phenomenal job and had a varied offerings we got to choose from, from classical to modern pop music covers. For our reception, we knew we wanted a DJ to fit the smaller space and to play a variety of different types of music. DJ Victor did an incredible job, flowing seamlessly from classic 60s and 70s wedding songs to modern pop anthems. He was also incredibly attentive to our vision and details about our music taste during the planning process up to the wedding day. He even flawlessly executed a last minute change in song timing for our first dance! My husband and many of our guests and family members are hobbyist or professional musicians, so making sure our music was good was a huge priority for us, and DJ Victor and the Boston String Quartet absolutely delivered! We also got uplights through Entertainment Specialists and they did so much adding to the design of the day, especially during the dancing. We are so glad we booked Entertainment Specialists, they’re an amazing company to work with for Boston weddings!

They gave us a few designs to choose from that we could tweak to our liking to have at the bottom of our photo strip and on 2 days later we had our whole online of every photo taken to share with our guests! Now our DJ Steve Manning was everything we could've asked for. He was so fun with high energy right from the beginning. Throughout our months planning we gave him our lists and even asked to mix a few songs together for special moments and he was like I got you!! Our dance floor was packed all night and he played a perfect mix of music for our guests. Any party going further I will be reaching out to have him DJ for us! Cant say enough good things about the whole experience with this company!

He also came prepared for several different types of set ups: a battery-operated ceremony space, an indoor/outdoor dinner and reception space, and a live music performance element — and crushed them all! tainment Specialists, Barbara, was very professional and prompt in her communications and the prices they quoted us were reasonable. In particular, we loved working with Steven. He spoke with us a few times prior to the event to get a sense of our music taste and what we were looking for out of the event. After these conversations we felt very confident in him as our DJ, as he was able to answer all of our questions, was clearly very experienced, and had a very professional yet relaxed approach. A week prior to the event, he sent over a worksheet to fill out with all the details such as the ceremony itinerary, the order of introductions in the reception, etc. On the day of our wedding, he set up all of the equipment for the outdoor ceremony and indoor reception completely independently - the process couldn't have been easier for us! He just did everything he needed to do. And then he killed it during the reception! People were dancing the whole time, and several of our friends commented that it was some of the best music they had heard at a wedding. We had shared about 10 “must-play” songs, but he ended up playing at least 5 other songs which we were considering putting on our request list. So he clearly intuited what we wanted to hear! Can't recommend him enough!

3 different areas and did it seamlessly. It was helpful to speak with him ahead of time and to make the reception schedule. There were some cute idea presented, like a designated first and last dance with all the guests. He had absolutely everyone up and dancing at one point and most stayed dancing all night. We had traditional Jewish components to the reception and he led it well. We found that the volume was pretty good, but we were also thankful we had a venue that had a porch for people who weren’t wanting the music. There were unexpected siren sounds multiple times during the dancing, which startled some people and made others laugh. We are not sure if they were necessary though. We were very happy with him and received a lot of compliments on his work from guests.

Martika is a ball of energy day-of, she got everyone so pumped up for their entrances and she was the first person I saw as I walked into my ceremony and she flashed me a huge smile and made me feel so at ease! She had everyone on the dance floor the entire night and she created exactly the vibe and environment we were looking for. HIRE HER!

h positive things about DJ Antonio. His communication prior to the wedding was clear and concise, he helped us to develop the timeline of our reception and kept the event running smoothly throughout. We consistently felt that he was anticipating our needs and keeping the party going without us having to ask for a thing. Communication with the office was easy and prompt as well. Truly cannot tell you enough how much we loved having Antonio at our event. It was important to us to have people who felt like part of the family at our wedding, and we can say with absolute confidence, Antonio is the right guy.

He made sure to use the songs we requested and even put his own twist on them by taking us on a journey through the decades of the music we chose which helped start the party with tried and true songs that everyone knows and loves and also made sure that the older guests who did not stay the whole night got to listen to music that they knew before newer music played later on in the evening. He also did not make the party about him, he wasn't showy and didn't add unnecessary commentary, which was important to us because we wanted the focus to be on the music. There were a few moments (entrance into the reception and cake cutting) that we didn't pick music for and he came to us with perfect suggestions that were perfectly aligned with songs we might have chosen ourselves. We also used Steve to DJ the ceremony and we were very pleased with the music he chose to play while guests arrived because it set the tone for the casual, upbeat vibe we were hoping for. Overall a fabulous choice for anyone who wants the focus of their wedding reception to be a fun dance party!

NICE it made my heart so happy! We made sure they got desserts at the end of the night and even something so small they were so appreciative of! We ended up giving them an extra tip at the end of the night we were so impressed. He definitely kept people dancing and when they weren’t he knew how to get them back up. We wanted a short first dance so nothing was painful to sit through and my dress had just broken, and Mile executed it all perfectly. We weren’t picky about anything which didn’t allow us to give much direction to him but he crushed it! My one recommendation is if you also are not too picky is to call out what you DONT want. We did have one song that we all “boo’ed” (obnoxious I know) but he didn’t change it haha. If there’s a band/genre/popular song you hate definitely call it out so he knows what to avoid!

would go by without hearing a response. When we did receive a response however, it was kind. Information seemed to be copied and pasted a lot; making the experience feel less personal. Working with a big company like this could be risky, but I was hoping it would pay off after reading other reviews. I suppose my experience was a little different. We used ES for our uplighting, which was great, and also our DJ. My husband and I are musicians, so the music at our reception was extremely important to us. When finally hearing from our DJ two weeks before the event, I took hours to map out a very detailed playlist for the reception (which he had asked us to do). Our reception was led with pretty high energy, but pretty early in the evening I began hearing multiple songs that were not on my playlist. I didn't know that our DJ was going to take requests from our guests. I wish I had known this, since I had already asked for guest input on our wedding invitation and included their requests on my playlist. The request songs that the DJ gathered during the reception became the priority and as a result I was very unhappy with the music playing during the night. One of the groomsmen ended up having to speak with the DJ to ask that the music be switched back to my playlist, which it was, but not until 30 minutes before the night would end. I don't wish to completely bash the experience; he was very high energy and kind! Just wish I knew that other music would be added into the playlist that I took hours to create. If I did know this ahead of time, I would have told the DJ that I already took song requests and that he did not need to do so. I would say about 1/3 of the music played was what I was hoping for, and the other 2/3 were requests taken that night which I really didn't enjoy.

On the day of the wedding, the cameras were low profile, the zoom went off without a hitch, and we received the live footage within 48 hours! Martika was fantastic behind the scenes as the MC of the virtual event and Ben and Val were so professional at the venue and were so great to work with. My family and friends had nothing but wonderful things to say about the viewing experience. In this new day, I could not recommend Entertainment Specialists enough for live streaming services!
