Nicole and her team at Ephemera are talented beyond words. We had a very specific vision for our wedding, and they not only executed perfectly, but they provided top-tier service a...
nd advice, and they were incredibly professional and easy to work with. I would strongly suggest using Ephemera for uniquely stunning floral arrangements for your event!
Nicole is amazing -- working with her (+ her florals) were one of the best parts of our wedding. She has such a calm, kind, thoughtful energy, and you can tell she is really listen...
ing to what you want.
We worked with Nicole on all flower aspects of our wedding, including bouquets, bar arrangements, tables, candles, and chandelier floral installations. The room she put together was absolutely magical, it made me tear up when I first saw it! She has such a good eye for space and design. All of our guests were raving about the flowers!
Absolutely magical! Nicole’s flowers were the star of the show at our wedding and transformed the space in to a dream. I will always remember walking in and seeing the space with o...
ur family and friends, it was unforgettable.
Nicole was one of our most important partners through the entire process. Being one of the first vendors we brought in to help us design and imagine what the wedding could be - she helped us with ideas, color palettes and really spent time understanding what we were looking for and playing it back to us through her moodboards and proposals.
She helped us make difficult choices, and her experience with the venue (Blue Hill) gave us a tonne of confidence that she knew what she was doing.
Her style is truly distinctive - we leaned in to the minimal style she suggested with ikigai arrangements for our dinner, she built a beautiful altar for us and probably most impressively was able to flip the ceremony area for dinner in the 60 mins we had for our cocktail hour.
Ephemera and Nicole have to be your first pick!
Nicole is truly so special - she is really such a creative and artist in her approach to florals! Every time we spoke with her I was so excited - I felt like she totally got my vi...
sion and made it come to life in incredible ways! Every idea and image she showed us was like WOW! YES! I was a big fan from Instagram before we started working with her. She was always very kind patient and helpful, helping us put to words the vision and what we liked in a way that made it real. She was so creative in her ideas - when she came with us on a site visit she had an idea for our space that was truly my favorite thing about our reception decor. Our floral mockup was one of my favorite days of wedding planning I was totally blown away by the beauty, fun and way she totally got me! She helped us create the perfect tablescape for our brief - with funky colored glass candlestick holders to incredible table arrangements. The bar arrangements she created were so cool fun and unique! And she created an installation on columns in our space that was so unique over the top and incredible. She made our ceremony space moody and different from the reception while still keeping a through line. Nicole and team really made our day what it was - I freaked out when I saw the set up and smile every time I see the photos. Our guests will not stop raving about the flowers ! Thank you so much Nicole!!!!!
I will start this review by saying that my daughter (the bride) and I are both marketers, she in luxury jewelry and me in beauty. So aesthetics matter to us. So when my daughter ...
found the Ephemera Instagram account we were both swooning. We were immediately drawn to the colors, the texture, the composition. It stood out.
Once we met with Nicole on Zoom it confirmed our desire to keep working with her and gave my daughter confidence that she understood her vision and would bring it to life. We trusted her taste and talent and felt that she could deliver a look that was sophisticated, unique and beautiful. She did exhaustive research and created mood boards that helped us discern what we liked and what we didn't. Every meeting was fun!
My daughter got married last weekend and the feedback has been outstanding. Everyone who sends a note, text or calls mentions the flowers. Men mention the flowers!!! Isn't that crazy??? The arrangements were unlike anything anyone had seen before. My friend who belongs to a garden club asked for a full rundown yesterday!
Nicole not only delivered, she over delivered. She thought through every detail. We had agreed on a concept of a growing garden for the Huppah - up the poles. And Nicole immediately said we will reappropriate the huppah flowers for the reception. But what she created was way more than we expected. The huppah flowers became a standing floral display that framed the band. When my husband and I delivered our toasts, there were flowers in the pictures. In fact basically anything on the dance floor has a floral touch. Something to consider as you allocate your floral budget. Even the candid snapshots we got from friends show tons of flowers.
When I described Nicole to friends during this year long process I said she is as an artist who uses flowers as her medium. And that is how she describes herself. This is not the person you choose if you want tall white branches in high vases with a few candles around. That would be a waste of her talent. Nicole's style is as cerebral as ikebana but lush and bountiful. Each blossom is considered, thoughtfully placed, cohesive and yet unexpected. Her color sensibility is masterful.
Yes, did we let our budget inch up a bit. But we think we got more than what we expected. And we also did a major pivot and Nicole was with us 100% of the way. We decided that the original vision might have been too big and would obscure across the table so while we LOVED the sample we decided to make the arrangements more horizontal. Nicole understood, didn't get annoyed about us changing the agreed design and created arrangements that had the same aesthetic but in a slightly different format. And it worked!!!
Nicole's talent is boundless, and she is a joy to work with. As my daughter said in her review - Stop looking and just book Nicole! She will create something magical.
If your wedding floral vision includes words like “ikebana” and “whimsical,” your venue is a Catskills field, Brooklyn warehouse, or hotel rooftop, and you have dress appointments ...
at Danielle Frankel or Vivienne Westwood, Nicole is the florist for you. I found Ephemera on Instagram and knew nobody who had worked with Nicole, but knew from our first meeting that she completely understood my vision (which had an extremely specific aesthetic and color palette). Her background as a painter brings color theory to life in a way I have never seen before. Nicole was respectful of the upper limit of our budget and tinkered with the details alongside us until the very end to make sure we maximized impact. To say she overdelivered is an understatement. You literally don’t need upgraded rentals if you work with Nicole because your flowers will be the star of the show. Look no further and just book her!
Nicole was a dream to work with. Not only is she insanely talented but her customer service is great as well. She totally nailed the look I was going for and all my guests cannot s...
top raving about the flowers at my Blue Hill Wedding! Highly recommend working with Nicole and her team.
Nicole is extraordinary. She worked with us -- and our lack of knowledge about florals! -- to create something so beautiful, so unique, and so perfectly tailored to who we are as a...
couple. Every single decision was thoughtful -- from choosing florals that only bloomed during our wedding week, to designing a bridal bouquet that highlighted my wedding dress. She was a dream to work with and endured our many questions and phone calls with kindness, genuine enthusiasm, and an extraordinary commitment to her craft. Couldn't recommend her more!
Nicole was recently the florist for our wedding. She’s immensely talented and a true artist. She ran with our ideas, accentuated them, worked with our feedback, and brought them to...
life beyond expectation. She was organized, friendly, and enjoyable to work with throughout the whole process, and blew our guests away with what she was able to do with her floral presentations, candles, fruit arrangements, etc. Would highly recommend!
