Ernestine suggested we postpone the start time of the ceremony by 15 minutes which allowed that we could still have it outside. The staff handed out champagne to the waiting guests. Because the grounds were wet, however, the dinner tables not on the patio had to be relocated inside. The staff jumped into action moving the 5 outside tables and associated 50 chairs inside (upstairs) at the last minute as well as pulling the 7 banquet tables and associated 50+ chairs for the patio out from under the band tent. Everyone “remained calm and carried on"! The food was great and the service impeccable.

Not a single one of my family members or bridesmaids had to lift a finger. The venue provided a bridal assistant and a team to put up decorations! They also assisted in the entire process of moving our wedding from March to October due to COVID. They were very understanding. Also, we had to switch event coordinators and we got Ernestine! She was so sweet and very detailed. She made sure I got every diagram discussed and she heard every request I had and made it happen! Day of we had Samantha as well the bridal assistant and man did she do a great job of helping the photographers with my dress and placement and following us around and also putting up my decorations! They both made sure our day was perfect and completed in such class and fashion! I would highly recommend this venue as they are versatile and offer so much to each couple for such a great price! The staff were so attentive and I received many kind words from our guests about how exceptional the waiters were. Everyone always had a smile and were accommodating. But what made my day truly amazing was my bridal attendant Samantha. Never in my life have I met someone as genuine and nice as Samantha. She was spectacular! She made sure my girls and I had everything we needed and constantly checked on us while we were in the bridal suite. She waited with my dad and I before we walked down the aisle, and we were both a little nervous, so she was giving us a pep talk and making us laugh before she sent us down for the ceremony. We really needed that! She was always constantly there to make sure my hair and makeup looked perfect, my veil was in the right place, and no feet every stepped on my train. Samantha calmed me down when I was having some issues with another vendor and ran interference between him and I when he wouldn't listen to me ( Samantha, if your reading this, you don't know how much that meant to me). As soon as the ceremony ended she had a drink waiting for us and she made sure we had appetizers to munch on. She helped gather everything together at the end of the night so we didn't have to worry about a single thing! There aren't enough kind words to describe how exceptionally amazing Samantha is! She's an angel in every way, and she truly made our day perfect! Thank you Epping Forest!

Brittany was absolutely perfect; our glasses were always filled with our special Veuve Cliquot, she offered to get my food for me so no one would step on my dress, she moved stuff from the bridal suite to the parlor room so we wouldn’t have to worry about gathering stuff up after the wedding, she continuously fluffed my dress for photos and even bustled it after sunset photos were done. Before bustling the dress, Brittany walked around behind me holding my train while I mingled with guests at cocktail hour. I felt really bad that she was doing that and told her that she absolutely didn’t have to, but she insisted that it was her job—I can’t lie, it slightly made me feel I was royalty. A smile never left Brittany’s face; she was truly a huge asset to our wedding. Ashleigh was wonderful with communication; our wedding was a little “different” as we didn’t have a bridal party, but Ashleigh coordinated all of our vendors and made sure everything went smoothly. These ladies 100% helped to relieve some of my stress. Every guest commented on how great the food was! If you get a chance, definitely have the grilled cheese and tomato bisque shooters, crab cakes, and the amazing teriyaki skewers! The mashed potato bar was phenomenal—the potatoes tasted so great on their own that you didn’t even need any of the toppings, but they were definitely a plus. Epping contracts their wedding cakes out to Classic Cakes—makes it convenient so there’s no separate bill, and the cake is outstanding! I originally found Epping on The Knot and thought it was so beautiful that I had to tour. After touring, I fell in love and just knew that I wanted to have our wedding there. The grounds are so magical and everything was perfect! We were married this past Friday and although they can’t close down the whole mansion to members, it still felt like the entire mansion was ours; Epping made sure that we didn’t have any “crashers” and when we did spot a member, they were clapping and offering congratulations. Our wedding was absolutely everything I could have imagined and I would 1000000% recommend choosing Epping for your venue! I couldn’t be happier with our choice!

The food was perfect, the service never missed a beat and all the while your event coordinator will keeps things running smooth for you so you can relax! I am still getting compliments on our wedding most of them go something like this: 'Wow, the venue was gorgeous, what a sunset, and then the food! Best wedding food I've ever had. The service was amazing, did you pay for extra servers?' (I did not :) ) We have a running (friendly) competition in my group of friends for best wedding and the consensus was that I took the #1 spot perviously held by a wedding in the Dominican Republic in Justin Timberlake's mansion. I planned the wedding and the details with my daughter and had debated early on as to whether to hire a day-of coordinator to help. In conversations with Courtney, she assured me that they would have it covered, which is part of their fabulous service. On the day of the wedding they executed all of the details perfectly. A huge help was Ernestine, the personal Bridal Assistant assigned to my daughter for the entire day. She was purely a delight to work with and went way above and beyond. I have never seen such a level of service. The food at the reception was outstanding and very well presented; our guests all commented on the food, service and the beauty of the location. The staff was attentive, professional and fun. We were told we would have use of the dock at our wedding and again followed up after hurricane Irma to confirm this was still the case. Ansley told us it would be repaired by our wedding several months later. However, it wasn't. Ansley did not reach out to let us know. I only found out because I was reconfirming. We found ourselves 2 weeks before our wedding with no plan for transportation because we could no longer use the boat as planned. We were also told all the Christmas decorations would me cleared out for our wedding, again we were let down when Epping did not follow up on promises. On the wedding day, however, the food was wonderful. Ernestine, the bridal attendant, was an angel! I can not say enough wonderful things about her. If you plan to use Epping as your venue, I HIGHLY recommend hiring an outside wedding planner or day of coordinator.

k after Hurricane Irma came through, but through their attention to detail, excellent planning, and great communication, the wedding went off without a hitch. Once the hurricane came through, we stopped by to assess the venue with the looming thought of having to reschedule our wedding. To our surprise, a staff of 75 employees were onsite cleaning and detailing the property for our day! The GM greeted us and every single employee we met was very eager to please us and assured us the wedding would be beautiful. All of our guests had an amazing time and the food was SO delicious. We had a Greek wedding and requested special Mediterranean food- we gave suggestions at our tasting and provided family recipes and the chef did not disappoint. It’s very clear that the event staff appreciates the fact that everyone has a unique wedding vision and they work with you on making the day perfect. They catered exceptionally to our special cultural food requests! The kitchen, wait, and bar staff delivered outstanding service and we couldn’t have been happier! 5 stars!!!

Mary, Daniela and literally everyone else in the staff team made our day perfect. People say some things will always go wrong on your wedding day but their attention to detail made it PERFECT. They didn't miss a thing and I'm the pickiest bride! My parents, family and friends fell in love with the venue and were so impressed by the service, the food and the unique breathtaking atmosphere of the venue. Mary could accommodate our needs in the menu having many vegetarians and meat eaters as well. She is always working behind the scenes to make sure the day is exactly the way you always imagined. I wish I could go back and relive every moment again. It was the best most beautiful day of our lives. Thanks again to the Epping Forest team! :)
