Our wedding day was an absolute dream come true, and it wouldn't have been possible without the incredible team at Epping Forest Yacht & Country Club. From the moment we stepped foot onto the premises, we knew we had found the perfect place for our wedding! Working with Kimberly (Catering Sales Manager) was extremely easy and enjoyable, she was very helpful throughout the process and made us feel very comfortable with every decision. This review is a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff who made our special day truly unforgettable. The service throughout the evening was top-notch. The staff was warm, friendly, and highly professional. They were always present when needed and despite the unfavorable rainy weather right before the ceremony, they made sure the entire event flowed seamlessly, and we were able to relax and fully enjoy every moment. To summarize, our experience at Epping, it was nothing short of the best day. We recommend Epping to any couple looking for a wedding experience that exceeds all expectations!!

The wedding venue is beyond gorgeous and the team really does everything they can to make the day great! They are very generous and flexible with what you can do and all of the coordination beforehand, which made it very easy on my end to manage all the complex details of the big day.

We had the most beautiful wedding ceremony and reception with Epping Forest. We would recommend this venue and team to anyone. It is truly breathtaking!!! They made all of our dreams come true.

Epping and all of their staff were spectacular! My daughter's wedding was all outdoors at 5pm. By about 1pm it began to clear, and we all agreed to continue outdoors. However, about 3:45 a 5-minute deluge came and soaked everything. The team at Epping were fabulous in their efforts to calm us and assure us that everything would be fine. They ended up having to reset the linens and all place settings on about 15 tables, not once but twice, due to the rain. They did this all with precision and professionalism and we were able to start with only a 7-minute delay. Everything for the rest of the evening was perfect! Ernestine Sanchez' attention to detail and guidance throughout the evening was wonderful. She made sure we were all in the right place a the right time for all the special moments. Did I mention the food? Oh, my goodness! It was nothing short of spectacular. They were able to feed 174 guests, incredibly delicious food, that was well presented and served very timely. The ability to have everything, and I mean everything, taken care of by the team at Epping, from the food to the cake, to the ceremony, to the reception, tenting, dance floor, was such a great benefit. Epping also has a large network of wedding vendors, florists, photographers, DJ's, etc. that have experience with the venue, which makes their job easier. Almost without exception, the first time I see friends after the wedding, they rave about how beautiful every aspect of the afternoon/evening was, and that was due to the staff at Epping and the beautiful venue. I would highly, highly recommend Epping Forest for your special day. You will not be disappointed.

Epping's team handled every detail of our special day with exceptional attention to detail. Kim and Sarah were a joy to work with and made sure everything went smoothly, including a transition from outside to indoors as inclement weather moved in. The garden and mansion are gorgeous, the food was excellent, and the team's ability to anticipate and meet every possible need were all just perfect touches on the big day!

Epping Forest is known as the best for a reason. Beyond the beauty of the venue, they have the day of wedding flow down to a science. I had many people tell me it was the most cohesive wedding they've ever been to and that every transition was so smooth throughout the night. The food is INCREDIBLE - everyone raved about it! Truly an unforgettable evening and I highly recommend Epping as a venue. Working with Kim was a joy! I only had two complaints: 1. I had a hard time getting in touch with someone to book my wedding date to begin with. 2. When showing up for the rehearsal the day before the wedding, there was construction being done to the front of the venue. We did not receive any warning about this and found out as we approached the venue. We were told the construction would not be finished before the wedding even though we had booked our wedding a year and a half in advance. Although this was very upsetting, Epping worked to make the construction discreet, and guests didn't even notice. Overall, it was a minor frustration but something I don't think should've happened based on the amount of money we spent. Communication could've been better here.

I know I am biased because we got married here but this venue is the most beautiful one I have ever laid eyes on. More importantly, the staff that help you plan your special day are incredible. It was such an easy process and you can tell they know what they're doing. Special recognition for Ernestine, our events coordinator, and Katy, who was my bridal attendant on wedding day. We had the most amazing wedding at Epping Forest that was talked about by our guests for months after!! We easily accommodated 235 people with seating both inside and outside under clear tents. It is the most beautiful outdoor setting on the river and we were blessed with gorgeous weather including an incredible sunset! We loved the idea that there was an indoor backup plan if the weather had not cooperated for us. The food and service were excellent as well. I highly recommend this venue if you want a SPECTACULAR WEDDING!!

Ernestine, Leo and Team made sure that every detail of the rehearsal dinner for my son and daughter-in-law's wedding was exceptional. From start to finish, they kept in touch with us to ensure that anything we needed and any changes necessary were handled instantly and with no issue. This is exactly why we have gone to Epping Forest for 2 years straight now: 1 wedding reception and 1 wedding rehearsal dinner.

One consistent feature of most venues is the box. Beautiful grounds and exceptional service may be found, but it always ends up in a square room. Epping gave us a higher-dimensional experience, allowing for free-flowing movement of our guests inside the mansion and about its grounds without the noise from a single centralized gathering. Although we chose to fall back indoors for the ceremony due to inclement weather, the entire upstairs of the mansion was no hack. The staff was so engaged in helping us make our decision, it showcased their flexibility and desire to please us. That became even more evident throughout the busy evening as everything was handled with ease and experience. One of the staff overheard us mention how we would miss the hors d’oeuvors during photography, so she used an earpiece to call for them. Within a minute we had our own butler with a tray. The quality of the staff was unsurmountable, the food was referred to as ‘the best of any wedding I have ever been to’ by many of our guests, and the overall experience was something others would be lucky to achieve.

Epping Forest made our wedding an absolute DREAM. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish! The staff is friendly, personable, professional and they got the job done efficiently. Our guests couldn’t get over the food, drinks, and overall ambiance. I couldn’t recommend this venue enough! Thank you for making our vision come to life!

Hands down the most beautiful venue! Looking back at pictures I am just in AWE of the scenery in itself. Not to mention the staff to help create your day was amazing. Ernestine was top notch! She communicates between my mom & I, she kept everything we were asking for organized and she was so responsive with all the last minute nitty gritty details. Katy, wedding date coordinator, was just as amazing! She was such a blessing and charm with guiding me, the bridesmaids and my father during the whole event. I cannot stop smiling ear to ear. Epping Forest was my 1st chose for wedding venue & it was the BEST choice.

Epping Forest Yacht & Country Club is one of the most beautiful places to hold your wedding and/or event. The event staff was AMAZING to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process. Their attention to detail and willingness to help was 10/10. Our guests are still raving about how good the food was as well! We would definitely book them again if we were to do it all over again - highly highly recommend!

From the first visit to stepping into the Limo, Kim and Epping will hit the mark on every expectation you have for your special day without question or worry. You only get one shot at "your special day," so there's not much of a playbook to reference. Caitlin and I knew we wanted a ceremony on the river as the sun set behind us. Our first idea kind of fell threw (looking back, it was a blessing), then C wanted to push up the wedding by five months. I was all in; I couldn't wait to tie the knot but knew we had work to do. Well, she didn't want to spend a ton of money on a huge ceremony, but this was going to be our only "big day" I wanted it to be perfect for her and us. I had been to Epping before for work, but never for a Wedding. I knew the family of properties it is a part of, and it is top-notch. There is nothing better. We also wanted a venue that took care of everything for us, and we did not want to labor or stress over all the minute tasks and details about everything coming together. At Epping, Kimberly took care of EVERYTHING. From the first meeting to the formal walk with Caitlin and me to the parents' visit for the dinner tasting, EVERYTHING was ultimately on Kim and the Staff. It all fit together perfectly. I do not have enough space or time to write down everything. I guess you will have to trust us that when it came down to it, there was no other choice, and looking back, not only was there no other choice, there was not the first problem, issue, or stressful moment. The staff, Kim, and the Bridal attendant, Sara, were precisely what you have always dreamed they would be for you on your special day...... go take a look and allow them to make your day the best it ever could be.

The venue is GORGEOUS and Katy was our bridal attendant and she was FABULOUS. We had our reception upstairs. It was beautiful but with 90 people it was hot with all the dancing. During the planning process, we didn’t have the best experience. We had to ask for things multiple times, the BEO was messed up each time it was sent to us, and communication was lacking.

Epping was attentive and the venue experience is unbeatable especially for the Northeast Florida area. Breathtaking gardens and a beautiful historic mansion. Decent prices for the experience. Staff was wonderful and accommodating and especially day of quite a joy to work with. Thank you Ernestine, Linda, Katy and team!

We had the MOST incredible experience having our reception at Epping Forest. Living in Florida, the weather is unpredictable and always a toss-up. When it started to rain right before our cocktail hour, our coordinator Ernestine was able to move everything inside seamlessly! Including one of our tables that was not completely covered on the patio. This easily could have derailed the entire evening - I was very impressed and the guests did not even notice the changes. From the food tasting, communication with any questions I had, as well as the actual event, and customizing the reception to fit exactly what we wanted, Epping provided top-notch service every step of the way! And bonus - the venue is STUNNING and the food is incredible. I could not recommend Epping enough!

The first time I went to Epping Forest, before I even met my now husband, I had the “I’m having my wedding here one day” moment. So to say I was married to Epping, before my husband, is an understatement. Epping is absolutely breathtaking; the moment you pull up, you’re instantly going back to an old world, and on top of that, the staff is absolutely top notch. Ernestine and Linda are at the top of their class when it comes to the wedding industry in Jacksonville. We moved our wedding an entire year because of Covid, and they took us through the Covid trenches with hands held and heads high. We also ended up changing our ceremony to getting married at church instead of Epping, and it didn’t effect out timeline at all, we pulled up to Epping the same time cocktail hour was going to start anyways, and they greeted us with big smiles, cold drinks and happiness I’ll never forget. Our guests haven’t stopped raving about how professional the staff was, how BEAUTIFUL to sunset was on the river and watching the sun go down during cocktail hour, and all of the food! Ernestine absolutely crushed it, from answering all of my crazy questions, to streamlining the timeline for my planner to reference. We truly had the best day of our lives!!!

My fiancé and I got married in Feb 2021 at Epping and it truly was a dream (even in the midst of a chaotic year). Everything was perfect- the decor, the food, the cake, the bar. But more than anything, I cannot speak more highly of Ernestine. She was professional, helpful, flexible and unbelievably kind throughout the entire process and we felt so lucky to have her! We also LOVED Brittany, our bridal attendant. She was so helpful and made my husband and I feel so at ease on what could be a hectic day. The beauty of the property speaks for itself, but the staff is truly something special. Epping thinks of every detail and goes out of their way to ensure your day is nothing less than spectacular. We could not have asked for a better experience!

The EFYC wedding coordinator, Ernestine, was delightful to work with. The venue is stunning. After the ceremony I saw many, many people taking family photos on the gorgeous grounds that I bet I see in Christmas cards this year!! It rained the day of the wedding but was clearing up as the scheduled time of the ceremony neared. Ernestine suggested we postpone the start time of the ceremony by 15 minutes which allowed that we could still have it outside. The staff handed out champagne to the waiting guests. Because the grounds were wet, however, the dinner tables not on the patio had to be relocated inside. The staff jumped into action moving the 5 outside tables and associated 50 chairs inside (upstairs) at the last minute as well as pulling the 7 banquet tables and associated 50+ chairs for the patio out from under the band tent. Everyone “remained calm and carried on"! The food was great and the service impeccable.

I don’t even know where to begin when complimenting this venue. From the gorgeous views, to Ernestine( the wedding coordinator), to the food and day of staff and especially Katy( my bridal attendant) everything was absolutely perfect. Ernestine was such a joy to work with, always helpful and quick to respond to my many emails. My bridal attendant Katy was amazing as well. Between she and Ernestine they made the entire day go seamlessly and smooth. My husband, family and I have received non stop compliments from everyone who attended. Truly the most beautiful venue with the most amazing staff, I could not have dreamed of a better day.

Our Son's wedding was held at Epping Forest. Every detail from the individual bride and groom rooms to the ceremony itself was amazing. The spectacular views and service made it one to remember. The staff was attentive to every detail. A special thank you to Samantha. She was there from first thing in the morning making sure that the bride and groom had everything they needed to the end of the night where she was helping us make sure all items were not forgotten.

Every penny we spent on Epping Forest is very well worth it. I wish I can give this venue 100 stars. They helped me through planning in the middle of a pandemic and was flexible with everything. I never felt like I was stuck or lost because Ernestine and Linda were always 10 steps ahead of me. Sam was our bridal attendant, and she was on top of it the entire day - from getting us drinks, to holding our umbrellas for pictures, to packing up leftovers for us at the end of the day - she got it all. We never had to worry about anything. The entire staff at Epping went above and beyond making us feel like our day was special - I literally still get goosebumps when I remember walking into the mansion from the bridal suite with everyone lined up up front to welcome me. Epping 100% embodies 5 diamond service, and I couldn’t even imagine having our wedding anywhere else.

Where do I begin! This venue is classy, rustic, warm, and unique! I did not want a banquet hall wedding. I wanted different, unique and warm. This venue is just that! This venue is also comparable in price to surrounding venues in the Jacksonville area. Don’t get scared by the name. This yacht and country club delivered class on our wedding day, superb attention to detail and made sure everything was taken care of. Not a single one of my family members or bridesmaids had to lift a finger. The venue provided a bridal assistant and a team to put up decorations! They also assisted in the entire process of moving our wedding from March to October due to COVID. They were very understanding. Also, we had to switch event coordinators and we got Ernestine! She was so sweet and very detailed. She made sure I got every diagram discussed and she heard every request I had and made it happen! Day of we had Samantha as well the bridal assistant and man did she do a great job of helping the photographers with my dress and placement and following us around and also putting up my decorations! They both made sure our day was perfect and completed in such class and fashion! I would highly recommend this venue as they are versatile and offer so much to each couple for such a great price! I wish we could give 10 stars because Epping Forest is the absolute BEST! I've been going to this club with my family for years, so when I got engaged and was looking for a wedding venue there was no question Epping was the one. We had everything planned perfectly for our May 2020 wedding, but when Covid hit we were very unsure of what our new September wedding was going to look like. Epping Forest took care of absolutely everything, down to the smallest detail. They are so professional and truly dedicated to making your day the most special it can be. Our wedding was everything we could have dreamed of and that would not have been possible without the incredible staff at Epping Forest!

My daughter had the most beautiful wedding at Epping Forest in February. Robert was our primary contact and could not have been better. Robert provided us the information that we needed and there were never any surprises. He emailed answers to our questions promptly and precisely. He made great suggestions and we were confident in his judgement. We most appreciated that on the day of the wedding, Robert and the entire staff at Epping were friendly, calm and exceptionally helpful to the bridal party and all the guests. We had many comments from our guests that all the staff were smiling and seemed to be enjoying the day...and that says a lot! We had a few families members with food allergies and they were well taken care of by individual wait staff. Thank you for a truly memorable event!

My wife and I got married January 11th at Epping Forest Yacht and Country Club. I cannot stress enough how flawless the experience was! From start to finish, the Epping Staff helped us with every detail and coordination piece, all the execution and direction as well. Ernestine was our point of contact in the catering office and we so pleased with her bright personality and helpfulness! Brittney was our Bridal attendant, and even our photographers mentioned how wonderfully easy she made the day. You CANNOT do better for yourself than choosing this gorgeous venue in Jacksonville!

Epping Forest is beautiful, the staff is professional and friendly, and it made planning a breeze! Ernestine promptly answered our questions and made us feel comfortable whenever we were there. The wedding day, Epping staff kept everything running smoothly along with the other vendors so I could focus on enjoying the day.

Epping Forest was the perfect choice for our wedding with its stunning grounds and beautifully detailed historic mansion. Everyone on staff is so nice and professional. Our coordinator, Robert, was amazing. He took care of every last detail and honestly, if there were any issues that came up, we didn’t even notice. The entire planning process was smooth, all we had to do was select our vendors, and Epping handled the rest. We opted to forgo a wedding planner since our wedding was small, so we relied on the recommendations Robert made, and we’re so happy we did. Thank you to everyone that helped make our wedding happen! Epping Forest hosted the absolute BEST day of my life. I couldn't have asked for a better venue. We wanted a place where you could walk in and think it was gorgeous, without having to worry about needing elaborate decorations to "dress the place up." Epping wows you right from the second that you pull up to the gate. Having the catering, linens, china, cake, table numbers, alcohol, etc. all taken care of through the venue significantly decreased stress and additional coordination. The planning process with Epping was a breeze. On the day of, our coordinator, bridal attendant, and the rest of the Epping staff made sure everything flowed smoothly and we did not have to worry about anything except enjoying the day. The staff was so awesome at making us feel special from the second we arrived on site. I can't say enough about the food, the cake, the cookie table, pretzel bar, and late night bites. It's been a month since the wedding and people are still talking about the food (and the epic sunset)!

Words cannot describe how happy we are having chosen Epping Forest as our wedding venue. My husband and I were initially attracted to Epping for the character/ history of the mansion and its grounds. Then we met Linda and Ernestine - we knew instantly that we were in great hands. They were so easy to work with and exceeded our expectations. Six months of planning, many phone calls and meetings later - not once did we feel overwhelmed or stressed. I cannot even begin to describe how perfect our wedding was at Epping Forest. It may be one of the pricier venues in Jacksonville but that is because you are treated like ROYALTY. They literally do everything for you. The venue is perfect in itself and didn't need much to make it our fairy tale wedding. The food is incredible. Communication throughout was superb. Anything you wanted, they made your dreams come true. Courtney and her team made sure that our day was flawless, despite potential inclement weather. Brittany, our bridal attendant, was one of my all-stars. She made sure that I was where I needed to be at all times, had a drink in hand, and didn't have lipstick on my teeth. I don't know what I would have done without her that day. She even eased my mind at times when I started to let my nerves take over. It was, quite literally, the best day ever.

Epping Forest MORE than exceeded our expectations. We found them on the Knot, and drove up from Tampa to check out the venue, and never looked at another after visiting. We knew the romantic, old world, garden feel was exactly what we were looking for. Our guests say that they have never been to a wedding venue so beautiful. The staff was amazing - professional, knowledgable, and so kind. The food was amazing, and every bit of our day was worth every penny. We were a bit stressed and regretting not getting a wedding planner the weeks leading to our day, but Ernestine and the Epping team took care of every fear I ever had. I feel that we had MORE than enough support through out every minute of our planning process. We had an intimate wedding of 40 guests in the gardens, and every guest said that it was the most perfect wedding that they had been to. All of that is to be credited to Ernestine! Samantha was our bridal attendant, who I kept telling was an angel throughout our day. She helped keep us on track with timing, made sure we had plenty of water and drinks through out the day, helped me carry my dress during pictures, and even helped me bustle my dress when none of my family knew how. At the end of the night, she helped make sure that all of our belongings were in our car so that we could focus on our family. Ernestine and Samantha were by far our biggest blessings and assets on our day. If you are looking for a beautiful venue with everything you could ask for, Epping is ALWAYS the best choice. My husband and I just got married here December 29 and it was amazing! The venue is absolutely beautiful and I've honestly never seen a more beautiful sunset than I did that night out on the water. The food was fantastic! We swapped out the mash potato bar with a mac and cheese bar, and people are STILL talking about how amazing it was! The staff were so attentive and I received many kind words from our guests about how exceptional the waiters were. Everyone always had a smile and were accommodating. But what made my day truly amazing was my bridal attendant Samantha. Never in my life have I met someone as genuine and nice as Samantha. She was spectacular! She made sure my girls and I had everything we needed and constantly checked on us while we were in the bridal suite. She waited with my dad and I before we walked down the aisle, and we were both a little nervous, so she was giving us a pep talk and making us laugh before she sent us down for the ceremony. We really needed that! She was always constantly there to make sure my hair and makeup looked perfect, my veil was in the right place, and no feet every stepped on my train. Samantha calmed me down when I was having some issues with another vendor and ran interference between him and I when he wouldn't listen to me ( Samantha, if your reading this, you don't know how much that meant to me). As soon as the ceremony ended she had a drink waiting for us and she made sure we had appetizers to munch on. She helped gather everything together at the end of the night so we didn't have to worry about a single thing! There aren't enough kind words to describe how exceptionally amazing Samantha is! She's an angel in every way, and she truly made our day perfect! Thank you Epping Forest!

We couldn’t have chosen a more beautiful venue for our wedding! We just got married at Epping 1/11/2019. Ashleigh, my wedding coordinator and Brittany, my bridal attendant were nothing short of AMAZING! The entire staff was incredibly nice and accommodating to our guests. Brittany was absolutely perfect; our glasses were always filled with our special Veuve Cliquot, she offered to get my food for me so no one would step on my dress, she moved stuff from the bridal suite to the parlor room so we wouldn’t have to worry about gathering stuff up after the wedding, she continuously fluffed my dress for photos and even bustled it after sunset photos were done. Before bustling the dress, Brittany walked around behind me holding my train while I mingled with guests at cocktail hour. I felt really bad that she was doing that and told her that she absolutely didn’t have to, but she insisted that it was her job—I can’t lie, it slightly made me feel I was royalty. A smile never left Brittany’s face; she was truly a huge asset to our wedding. Ashleigh was wonderful with communication; our wedding was a little “different” as we didn’t have a bridal party, but Ashleigh coordinated all of our vendors and made sure everything went smoothly. These ladies 100% helped to relieve some of my stress. Every guest commented on how great the food was! If you get a chance, definitely have the grilled cheese and tomato bisque shooters, crab cakes, and the amazing teriyaki skewers! The mashed potato bar was phenomenal—the potatoes tasted so great on their own that you didn’t even need any of the toppings, but they were definitely a plus. Epping contracts their wedding cakes out to Classic Cakes—makes it convenient so there’s no separate bill, and the cake is outstanding! I originally found Epping on The Knot and thought it was so beautiful that I had to tour. After touring, I fell in love and just knew that I wanted to have our wedding there. The grounds are so magical and everything was perfect! We were married this past Friday and although they can’t close down the whole mansion to members, it still felt like the entire mansion was ours; Epping made sure that we didn’t have any “crashers” and when we did spot a member, they were clapping and offering congratulations. Our wedding was absolutely everything I could have imagined and I would 1000000% recommend choosing Epping for your venue! I couldn’t be happier with our choice!

Epping is a gorgeous and venue, the perfect place for a romantic wedding! The staff there is amazing as well and they really cater everything to make your day special. Our Coordinator Courtney was great to work with, she understood our vision and helped my mom and I plan all the details. From day one to the day of the staff is there is answer questions promptly, clear up concerns, encourage you and be by your side. On the day of my wedding I did not worry about anything because they had it all set and I felt like royalty with my own bridal attendants! My guests cannot stop complimenting this beautiful venue, its excellent food and wonderful staff. It made my perfect day even more special. No complaints at all, it is an amazing place for any special event.
