It was clear Sam put in care and effort when it came to the words he spoke during our service- it wasn't just a regurgitation of something previously written, he personalized it to us and our life. He also surprised us with silicone bands to exchange, as my husband and I had originally decided not to get rings, but it really was a thoughtful touch to have them. Even though our elopement was fairly low-key, it was still comforting to have a knowledgeable professional like Sam to guide the flow.

It took us a few weeks to get back to Sam as we were trying to confirm the ceremony’s location before booking him. Once we reached out through email he knew exactly who we were as he had remembered us from that day even after meeting so many other people. Sam was a pleasure to work with and made our entire ceremony preparation as easy and stress free as possible. Me and my husband had no idea as to what a ceremony consisted of and Sam made sure to provided as many options and information as possible. During our zoom meeting he asked us all the right questions and was genuinely interested in allowing us take charge on how we wanted our ceremony by allowing us to decide how long we wanted the ceremony, what readings we wanted and also let us know of a unity ceremony. Our entire zoom call was full of smiles, excitement and nerves that were creeping up as the date was getting closer. Sam assured us of his arriving time on the day of the ceremony and checked in with us as we were heading to the City Hall. We had to make a few last minute adjustments to our unity ceremony but Sam made sure to take care of a new plan and provide us the best ceremony we could have dreamed of. Sam welcomed us at the front of the City Hall with a big smile, snapped a few pictures of us and embraced us in a big hug assuring us our wedding day was going to be beautiful. We all walked up to the Fourth Floor North Gallery where Sam allowed us to do our vows privately. Sam continuously checked in on me and my husband as we were waiting on my husbands family to arrive and was very comforting. Once our ceremony began Sam had me and my Husband and all our guest in tears and smiles. After the ceremony we had a lot of family members and guests ask us if we have known Sam for a long time and if he was a friend of ours because they could tell he genuinely loved and cared for us and our special day. Hearing this from our friends and family confirmed that me and my husband made the best decision choosing Sam as our officiant because he made the ceremony feel like it was a family member and someone we greatly admire marrying us.

He walked us through the process, shared all types of ideas for different ceremony options and even helped us find a beautiful location for us and our close family members. Sam made us feel extremely comfortable, understood our needs and he was able to provide us a magnificent day neither of us will ever forget. Sam was extremely flexible with timing and organizing everything. He even helped us in honoring one our recently passed family members that was supposed to attend our wedding. It was a lovely moment. In addition to the amazing ceremony, Sam is genuinely one of the nicest people either of us has met. You could tell immediately how much he enjoyed helping us and being a part of our major life milestone. We can’t thank him enough!

We had a first meeting via Zoom, where we had the opportunity to explain to him what was that we were looking for, he gave us a walkthrough of the services provided, and it just gave us chance to see if it was a fit for both of us. t, being that it was this family member's first time officiating a wedding, he was pretty nervous. So we reached out to Equal Opportunity Officiants to utilize the 'Officiant Coaching' services. Sam then worked very closely with our officiant over the next few weeks in order to make sure that it all went smoothly. Our officiant had nothing but high praise for what EOO brought to the table. By the wedding day, he gave the vibe of a seasoned veteran. He actually had multiple people ask him how long he'd been officiating weddings (followed by shocked faces when he said it was his first time). With that, I couldn't recommend EOO enough. 10/10.
