Formerly known as Brookfield Corner Farm, the new owners Beverly Wyman-Stratton, and Gus Stratton after careful renovations began in March 2020, opened their doors to dressage riders in October 2020. Ongoing improvements and renovations, keeping with the historic character of the property, continue to this day. The centerpiece of the wedding reception event venue is a charming renovated Antique Barn built in 1820 of post & beam construction, that can accommodate up to 138 guests exclusive of catering, waitstaff, and musicians, DJ, etc. As you enter the Antique Barn, you'll see a large center stairway where the bride can make a grand entrance descending from the second story bridal suite to meet their guests. Tables and chairs are provided on the main floor and on the two 2nd floor mezzanines on either side of the center stairway. On the first floor there is an antique 2-seater carriage that can be used for photos as well as a gift platform. There is also a large deck out back that overlooks the property. From the deck behind the Antique Barn there is another stairway that leads down to a brick patio on the quad opposite the facade and entry to the arena/stables complex. We also have an affiliation with a horse carriage and driver team that can optionally be made available to the bride and groom, Lakeside Carriages, LLC. As a 15-acre equine facility, Equanimity Farm can accommodate outdoor wedding ceremonies of nearly any size. Weather permitting, you can say 'I do' with a ceremony on picturesque pastures with white birch, pine, ash, maple and oak trees as your backdrops. Whether you prefer an indoor wedding reception in the antique barn, or an outdoor reception under a tent, our wedding planner can work with you to realize your vision for your special day.
