Eric Blanks
Lead Videographer
Eric Blanks is a native of Jackson, Mississippi. Eric attended the University of Southern Mississippi where he received a B.S. in Computer Science, May 6 2000. Upon graduation, Eric relocated to Atlanta, GA where he was hired as a Software Engineer for a banking company located in Norcross, GA. Eric’s other corporate america employers include: Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, Turner Broadcasting as a web developer for CNN and the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.
Having several years of web design experience, Eric decided to register a technology consulting firm, Ebrasive Technology Consulting, LLC, with the State of Georgia in 2003. Ebrasive Technology Consulting, LLC has develop marketing material for nearby colleges, as well as developed sites for numerous clients such as, Grammy Award Winner Faith Evans, Project Runway’s, Michael Knight as well as Celebrity Make-Up artist Yolonda Frederick to name a few.
In 2010, Eric decided to expand his technology company and formed a media company that would offer his already established web and design services, by also adding the addition of video and photography services. Within a few months of deciding to go into video, Eric landed an opportunity to work with a platinum selling single artist to direct, shoot, and edit a music video. Shortly after, Eric teamed up with a local Director and was contracted to edit videos for artist such as SWV, Dominique Reighard(America’s Next Top Model), Diamond (Former Crime mob), T.I., Gladys Knight, Trina Braxton, Chrisette Michele, K. Michelle, and Trina to name a few.
After a co-worker showed Eric her cinematic wedding, Eric immediately fell in love and knew that would now become his passion. After a few weddings under his belt, Eric was selected to be the official wedding videography for Essence Magazine’s 2012 sponsored wedding and has been featured on Huffington Post Wedding Blog as well as Munaluchi Bride.
