Eric Tyler Wedding Officiant

Eric was supposed to officiate our wedding, but cancelled 5 days prior due to a family matter. Due to the reasoning, my husband and I totally understood, but the only thing that bothered us was that he kept his deposit instead of refunding us. I understand that he helped us with a script at the beginning, but he cancelled on us so we believed we had the right to a refund so we could find an alternate officiant. When he cancelled, he did inform us that he knew someone that was available for our date and that he sent over all of our information to her. (He should have spoke with us first before giving someone we do not know our personal information). We kindly declined, and believe we should have a say in who officiates our wedding and didn’t want who he chose. (We already had an alternate in mind). Again, we understood why he cancelled and kindly requested our money back, which we did not receive. He informed us the retainer was non-refundable by default and declined our request for our money back. Long story short, he helped us with a script. (That you can find on Google) and we edited 90% of it. He had below average communication skills. He won’t provide a contract. His deposits are non-refundable even if he cancels on you. So, just keep this information in mind when booking with Eric Tyler.
